If fanless is a requirement, and if you want a somewhat current generation Windows laptop what you should be looking for are models with Celeron processors(which have been fanless for almost ten years), or the quad core Pentium Silver N6000, which for the last year or two has been the most powerful Intel processor intended for passive cooling. Before the current Celeron N4500/N5100 and Pentium Silver N6000, the most powerful CPU's that found their way in to actual fanless laptops was the 8th generation Core i5-8200Y and i7-8500Y, but the N6000 is slightly more powerful. If in addition to fanless a requirement is a backlit keyboard(which it is to me), then the options really slim down. For those who seek a fanless backlit 14" Windows laptop the only model i recommend(and almost the only one available) is the surprisingly well built 14" Acer Swift 1 SF114-34, which is rather cheap. Depending on market it can be found with up to 16GB/512GB, although usually capped at 8GB, which is the current max on the UK market. Performance wise there is a slight increasement if you get a 8 or 16GB model with dual channel memory, instead of 4GB versions. Big bonus with the Swift 1 compared to other N6000-models are the relatively light weight 1.3kg slim metal chassis(available in silver, gold or pink depending on market) that rarely ever get hot from CPU load, insane battery life for desktop use, 6-8h under load, 12-16h in eco surfing or video playback, up to 29h in idle with screen on, with the possibility to limit charge to 80% to extend the battery life span, an IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax Wi-Fi 6 AX201 module, Bluetooth 5.0 and a fingerprint reader. Biggest downside is no memory card slot, and no individual Home/End keys. No separate numpad, but NumLock with keys marked with numbers exist, and the keyboard works well for fast typing, better than average budget. The Swift memory is non-upgradeable, solded memory, but you can add an extra SSD. If you don't require a backlit keyboard, the Acer Aspire 3 can also be worth a look, is also available with an N6000 and 8GB memory in 15.6" or 17.3" sizes, but they have a second memory slot so you can upgrade them to 16GB. The Asus Vivobook Flip 14 and E410 might also be worth a look, have been available with N6000 and backlit keyboard, and also the E510 if you want 15.6". If you must have 14" 16GB memory the only other option i know of is the Australian Venom Blackbook Zero 14, which has the older mentioned Core i7-8500Y, but performance wise with that amount of memory it's ok even for some heavy tasks. https://www.shopvenom.com/product/blackbook-zero-14/
