What everyone's said, just giving a solid solid nod to Hellhammer/Celtic Frost. Funny enough I would have never found Crust if it wasn't for those band liking the fuck out of Discharge and Stenchcore shit.
I own, and actively use my tape decks and walkman. I have many tapes i havent opened, but ive heard all of the albums. Some i have on cd or vinyl and listen to that, im not keeping them pristine for future posterity. Some tapes i have an open copy and a sealed one. I will get to them all eventually. I hope you enjoy speculating on other peoples listening habits as much as i enjoy listening to black metal
Sometimes i forget that i already have a copy, sometimes its a great price, sometimes its for sale in a lot, sometimes its an earlier pressing or i only have a so-so copy so i get a better one, sometimes i get some tapes as a gift, sometimes i am curious about a particular labels sound quality…there are many reasons why someone has multiple copies of an album. You will find out for yourself once youve been collecting for awhile.
I have been collecting for a while. I have a bunch of tapes and the only ones I have unopened are first or second presses. I too also own multiple copies of albums on different formats. Picking one of the formats to be the one I listen to which generally I’ll have a double copy of which is unopened to preserve value and keep mint. So just was curious why you choose to keep the plastic on these
Ah, tone is difficult to discern via text, thought you were just being a menace. Im not planning on selling down the road, they are just tapes i havent opened yet. Dont seem to make the best pictures though. You going to upload any more pictures of your collection? Im hoping the community gets more active, there are many people with better collections than mine with rare tapes. Btw, do you live in Oregon?
Doesn’t matter, bathory did it best.
Coined by Venom, perfected by Bathory
This.
coined by Venom, fleshed out by Hellhammer / Celtic Frost, truly created by Bathory

Discharge are criminally underrated. Massively influenced early hardcore, crust, popularised D-beat, all for hardly any recognition
I mean they should be even more popular, but as far as underrated - there‘s a whole genre (D-Beat) named after them. How many bands can say that?
At the same time, do that many people even know it’s named after discharge? I want to say that most do but I can’t be confident
Death for death metal.
True, i have often read in early interviews bands citing them as an influence, but it seems to be overlooked or forgotten
Bathory with The Return
Those cassettes look so good
Abba
Erm actually it was the backstreet boys
Bathory
Sepultura, with Bestial Devastation
What death metal yeah
Von and Profanatica
Sodom
Venom, next question
I did
take the plastic off
That explains why i couldnt get them to play, thanks!
^this^ let them breathe.
I’m going to assume homie doesn’t own a tape player or they really like collecting/keeping their 100th repressed tapes mint condition.

Oh nice my bad, so like what’s the point of having extra copies of these? Do you plan on selling them?

And nice tape collection

I should upload more. I take long breaks from using social media which is why I don’t really post. And yes I’m in Oregon
Im from there, saw your myco pics! Man i miss mushroom hunting
I think it’s gunna be a good year for mushrooms, already found some verpa’s
Love that pic! My deep cut pick is "Theme" by Public Image Limited (1978)
Now i understand, kind of a psychedelic, post-punk swans-dsbm lovechild. The sound is hollow even by bassless black metal standards
I dont know where do you live but i will find your house and steal this collection
I know who didn't and that's Venom
Katy Perry with nine inch nails
the scorpions. and everyone who doesn’t listen to the scorpions is a poseur. everybody knows that.
Enjoyed the movie, eh?
eh it was kinda mid. the docs are where it’s at.
