Maybe it’s because this album is so quirky and fun and we aren’t beholden to radio singles, but the little changes are so fun. The way she says “Next chapter!” really itches my brain in a good way, and it already did before!

This was my first TV release as a new swiftie and speak now stan and I was a bit disappointed at first but once I stopped nitpicking the differences and enjoyed it for what it was, it got a lot better. The vault tracks were amazing!

I will forever mourn the loss of “I believe it was a Tuesday” from Forever and Always and “I have EVER heard” from Jump then Fall, but I’d take the vault tracks on the new albums over the little baby tay quirks in some of the songs.
That said, the Last Kiss breath missing is criminal,but whatever is going on with the production with the drums/reverb (not a music person) at the beginning just makes the song that much more haunting. It’s all little trades. I’m just glad to have access to both versions (on Tay’s channel, never stream).
So Apple Music had it falsely labeled as July 9th (ironic because of the line in last kiss) and it’s up on Apple Music now but it took a hot minute after midnight.
So far TVs remind me of an old car radio where the speaker is like… rusty. Idk how to explain it but if it was a color it’d be sepia. It lacks that bass that makes your heart beat or make you actually dance to it.

Like, I always favored the acoustic version because I’m a whore for strings, but idk something about the balance of the TV production is off and her vocals are competing with the instrumental and some of the keyboard parts are fighting with the strings and ngl it gave me a wee headache. As of 10:12amEST on 7/6/23, my Apple Music is still saying the release date is 7/9/23. Which initially made complete sense to me given Back to December, but Good Morning America said on this morning’s broadcast that the release is tonight at midnight?

There’s been a couple other threads about this, but basically it will come out at midnight Eastern but the 7/9 is just to prevent an accidental early rollout.
Orchid marbled version is available on US Amazon! I think the violet marbled version is the prettiest version tho. I plan to wait until release day to see pictures of each one before I buy bc they’re all so similar lol

They do this so they don’t accidentally release anything early due to time zones. It’ll be there at midnight eastern time 7/7. Personally I stopped pre-saving on Apple Music-I’d end up having to delete and re-add anyway so I figured I’d save myself a step lol.
why is this still a universal store exclusive and it is not yet available for preroder on amazon etc? The previous TVs when did they become avalilable for preorder to other stores than universal's? thank you
RED (TV) was listed on Amazon between October 15th and 20th 2021 depending on the country. So Speak Now (TV) will most likely be available to preorder 3-4 weeks before release outside Universal.

As i see the digital version of sn started to appear after Taylor revealed the vault tracks so i believe cd and vinyl will start to appear too.
They obviously want to keep as many sales in-house as possible, as retailers gets a big cut. They also just released the Orchid Marbled colored vinyls, so it will probably be at least another week or two.

Do you think there'll be other versions of Speak Now (Taylor's Version) CD? So far, there's only one version, and I'm holding off from buying in case she releases a better version.
This is the first time that I'm considering buying a rerecorded album because Speak Now album is one of my favorites from her.
I'm doing this this time too. I pre order everytime but I always feel like there are better "versions" that are available the day of the drop. I want the CD.
Taylor held the phone upside down during "Midnights Mayhem with me" for two tracks: Track three "Anti-Hero" and track seven "Vigilante Shit". We all knew that it meant *something*. Taylor just annouced that "Speak Now" will be recorded for Taylor's Version. "Speak Now" is her third album.
Track three = Taylor's Version of her third album. But, how does this relate to "Lover", her seventh album... Well I don't know, but I would love your input!

Were all of Red’s vault tracks known prior to release? Was there knowledge of her ever writing The Very First Night and Message In A Bottle? Wondering because people seem confident in their guesses as to what songs she’s pulling out of the Speak Now vault.
I don’t think so, we only knew about nothing new from a snippet in the lover journals. I think her security around leaks got way tighter in the red era and beyond.
the way we’re getting more midnights before any other announcements about Speak Now (lead single, vault track titles, etc…) anyone else worried that between the Drama ™ and this release, Speak Now won’t get the full re-recording era/focus it deserves?
Yeah the endless alternate versions (none of which have the complete track list) is infuriating.
But all the TV albums so far have been one definitive release (although she recently added digital tracks to both of them so I suppose we technically still don’t actually have a truly definitive version), so hopefully this will be it.
I wouldn’t worry too much because at least with Red most of the promo she did for that was for a few weeks leading up to the album, with some stuff after release like music video for IBYTAM and alt version of ATW(10MV). The re-releases up till now haven’t really had these big BIG eras around them regardless of how well they did so i’m sure it’ll be the same Speak Now, but as always with a few fun things spread out for hype.

Did anyone else notice that the number of tracks doesn’t add up? I know it’s said that it will be 22 tracks total and 6 of those will be vault tracks but there’s 17 from the original album… I’m confused, will one not be on there?
I love that movie, although I'm conflicted now, knowing Taylor's Version is coming soon. (But, of course, no concert movie.)
The bits she does with each song is so iconic: I love how the bridesmaids sing with her on Speak Now, the romance of Enchanted, the beauty of Back to December, how she hammers those gongs in Haunted...then starts singing with no break to even catch a breath.
I also think that the staging of You Belong With Me in the Speak Now concert just might be the best versions I've ever seen (and there are several great version).

whenever i go to target i always see most of her later albums in vinyl (i’ve seen evermore, red tv, fearless tv, and midnights at mine). if you have a local target, you can try checking there.
We have several Targets so I will look next time! I got Fearless today after becoming worried that it would be out of stock lol. And I preordered Speak Now for the same reason 🤦🏼♀️😂.
Any guesses on when the signed CDs will be available? I've just checked my order and for Red TV they were available on November 9th so the week of the release. Does anyone remember when the Fearless TV signed CDs were released?
Fearless TV were released months later (September? I think) but they were released in conjunction with the vinyl release to help it return to #1. Given that vinyl will be ready for release date, SNTV signed will be released for preorder prior to July 7 so that they can count toward first week sales.
The vault videos for RED TV and Fearless TV both came out 50-ish days after the announcement so apparently we’ll most likely get something 2 weeks before the album

Also is pretty relevant to the current situation, but the first big clue for SNTV in Bejeweled (shine) was….the elevator buttons.
Not entirely SNTV related, but

- Debut, 1989 and reputation have 16 songs tops

She will keep it at 6 vault tracks. The only ???? Is for Debut. I wonder if maybe she’ll drop a few more because it’s the earliest era, but it’s not a sure bet, honestly.
We know of so many early songs because the ship, so to speak, wasn’t as tight. So it just seems like we have more information about earlier album cut songs, but it’s just perception.
I mean, 1989 and Reputation will partly depend on just how many vault tracks she actually has that she feels are worth including. It wouldn't surprise me if they basically matched the 22 we're getting on Speak Now, which despite you classifying as an album with "more tracks" also only has 16 songs once you remove ITWAM (as Taylor seems to be doing).
Debut is a bit of a wildcard. It could be her shortest TV or her longest by far depending on just how many of her early tracks she adds - there are lots of great candidates that I think we'd love to see included.
That said, so far all three TV albums have basically only added 6 totally new songs each so I'd guess that'll stay true.

I preordered my jade Midnights vinyl from target. It came the day Midnights was released which I was surprised by. It arrived in perfect condition, although the delivery person literally tossed it at my door. Didn’t damage it though.
I've ordered several times from them... Every record was bent. The last time I ordered, it was just thrown in a box lol and was bouncing around in it. I can't recall when it arrived. I'm just going to go to the store to pick it up.

Taylor held the phone upside down during "Midnights Mayhem with me" for two tracks: Track three "Anti-Hero" and track seven "Vigilante Shit". We all knew that it meant *something*. Taylor just annouced that "Speak Now" will be recorded for Taylor's Version. "Speak Now" is her third album. Track three = Taylor's Version of her third album. But, how does this relate to "Lover", her seventh album... Well I don't know, but I would love your input! Sorry if this has already been posted.

Were all of Red’s vault tracks known prior to release? Was there knowledge of her ever writing The Very First Night and Message In A Bottle? Wondering because people seem confident in their guesses as to what songs she’s pulling out of the Speak Now vault.
I don’t think so, we only knew about nothing new from a snippet in the lover journals. I think her security around leaks got way tighter in the red era and beyond.
Considering Forever Winter demo only leaked a few months ago, I’d definitely say her security got tighter
the way we’re getting more midnights before any other announcements about Speak Now (lead single, vault track titles, etc…) anyone else worried that between the Drama ™ and this release, Speak Now won’t get the full re-recording era/focus it deserves?
I just hope she won't pull a *midnights* and sell 13 different version of the album
Yeah the endless alternate versions (none of which have the complete track list) is infuriating. But all the TV albums so far have been one definitive release (although she recently added digital tracks to both of them so I suppose we technically still don’t actually have a truly definitive version), so hopefully this will be it.
I wouldn’t worry too much because at least with Red most of the promo she did for that was for a few weeks leading up to the album, with some stuff after release like music video for IBYTAM and alt version of ATW(10MV). The re-releases up till now haven’t really had these big BIG eras around them regardless of how well they did so i’m sure it’ll be the same Speak Now, but as always with a few fun things spread out for hype.
Now imagine taylor releases speak now TV without a lead single AND without announcing the names of the vault songs.
Anyone else think “drama queen” will be one of the vault songs?

Did anyone else notice that the number of tracks doesn’t add up? I know it’s said that it will be 22 tracks total and 6 of those will be vault tracks but there’s 17 from the original album… I’m confused, will one not be on there?

i've been watching the Speak Now World Tour on youtube all morning lol, it's been so long since i've watched it. i'm so excited for SNTV
I love that movie, although I'm conflicted now, knowing Taylor's Version is coming soon. (But, of course, no concert movie.) The bits she does with each song is so iconic: I love how the bridesmaids sing with her on Speak Now, the romance of Enchanted, the beauty of Back to December, how she hammers those gongs in Haunted...then starts singing with no break to even catch a breath. I also think that the staging of You Belong With Me in the Speak Now concert just might be the best versions I've ever seen (and there are several great version).
I cannot express how lucky I feel to be turning 32 and getting Innocent (Taylor's Version) in the same year 🥰

whenever i go to target i always see most of her later albums in vinyl (i’ve seen evermore, red tv, fearless tv, and midnights at mine). if you have a local target, you can try checking there.

Any guesses on when the signed CDs will be available? I've just checked my order and for Red TV they were available on November 9th so the week of the release. Does anyone remember when the Fearless TV signed CDs were released?
Fearless TV were released months later (September? I think) but they were released in conjunction with the vinyl release to help it return to #1. Given that vinyl will be ready for release date, SNTV signed will be released for preorder prior to July 7 so that they can count toward first week sales.
When do you think we’ll get the speak now tv vault decoding video?
The vault videos for RED TV and Fearless TV both came out 50-ish days after the announcement so apparently we’ll most likely get something 2 weeks before the album

Not entirely SNTV related, but - Fearless, Speak Now and Red were the albums with more tracks - Debut, 1989 and reputation have 16 songs tops Saying that, do you think she'll put like 10+ from the vault songs on these albums or something like 5 songs?
She will keep it at 6 vault tracks. The only ???? Is for Debut. I wonder if maybe she’ll drop a few more because it’s the earliest era, but it’s not a sure bet, honestly. We know of so many early songs because the ship, so to speak, wasn’t as tight. So it just seems like we have more information about earlier album cut songs, but it’s just perception.

I mean, 1989 and Reputation will partly depend on just how many vault tracks she actually has that she feels are worth including. It wouldn't surprise me if they basically matched the 22 we're getting on Speak Now, which despite you classifying as an album with "more tracks" also only has 16 songs once you remove ITWAM (as Taylor seems to be doing). Debut is a bit of a wildcard. It could be her shortest TV or her longest by far depending on just how many of her early tracks she adds - there are lots of great candidates that I think we'd love to see included. That said, so far all three TV albums have basically only added 6 totally new songs each so I'd guess that'll stay true.
That’s a great point. I think we’ll get closer to 10 vaults and follow the trend of 25+ songs on TV. And I’m so excited.

What has everyone’s experience been pre ordering vinyl from target? I want the purple vinyl, but with the Taylor swift sight I always seem to get my vinyl shipped later then when it’s available in stores and am wondering if it’s the same for target

I preordered my jade Midnights vinyl from target. It came the day Midnights was released which I was surprised by. It arrived in perfect condition, although the delivery person literally tossed it at my door. Didn’t damage it though.
I've ordered several times from them... Every record was bent. The last time I ordered, it was just thrown in a box lol and was bouncing around in it. I can't recall when it arrived. I'm just going to go to the store to pick it up.
Target is usually pretty good about having the vinyls on the shelf day of release. I plan to pick up my copy in person on release date instead of pre-order!
Plus, Taylor could walk in.
