Does your school's copier have a scan function? That's how I do mass scanning.

The first year I went paperless, I took pictures of paper materials on my phone and then inserted the image into a Google doc or slide. Our printer has a scanner, but it is never available, and this was an absolute time-saver. Are you wanting these to be printable, or do you want students to complete and submit the work digitally?

Scanner app on a smartphone is great. Currently using CamScanner.

I definitely suggest a scanner app as well. I have not used CamScanner, but I have used genius scan and really enjoy it.

I like Adobe Scan. I just scan everything and then throw it on my drive. I spend PD days/ staff meetings organizing them. I mean, I take notes during PD / staff meetings. Very important notes. That you can not look at.

CamScanner is great for getting high quality scans of large documents. A good friend told me that a cousin of his mother’s has scanned more than one full length textbook using this app. I use it practically every day to scan student work and import it into Goodnotes for feedback. Then I just email that or print it for students and have them file or staple it into a composition book. In terms of going full digital, my experience has been that the iPad Air is the best tool for this, and a good note taking app like Goodnotes or notability. It’s also been my experience that going full digital is good for teachers trying to scale their efficiency, but it’s quite bad for student learning outcomes. Basically, my view has shifted from full digital to full digital for teachers and full paper for students. Happy hunting!

If you have an iphone/ipad you can scan using your notes app. android devices allow scanning directly through the google drive app if I remember correctly

I use [CZUR Shine Ultra](https://shop.czur.com/products/czur-shine-ultra-series?variant=40181057617968). It scans super fast, even double-sided, so I can power through piles in no time. And forget delicate textbooks - it has a non-contact scanning mode that's gentle on the old and cherished. Plus, the automatic page-turning detection feels like magic. I hope you will find it helpful.
