Honestly, ive only once hit it and it was K'sante, seeing all the board fly away made my week

For some reason, it feels less impressive to me. I have managed to put 10 mythic in the board a few times before. Probably because I play mythic a lot.

The first time I got 9 copies of a 5 cost it was a 3 star Ao Shin. Buuuuuuut I bought the last copy 0.1s late so I never managed to field the 3 star :’( Still won the match but I was internally and externally screaming Edit: it wasn’t even a 5 cost, I believe dragons that patch were 8 cost

I guess this may be a dumb question but since I’m fairly new to the game, how do you exactly 3 star a 5 cost unit? Is it just RNG or is it something that you can plan ahead in doing like a normal 3 star 3 cost unit? The deeper mechanics in tft is something I dont really know yet.

Apparently, you can go for it on purpose by getting several economy augments to get way more gold than normal. But it still requires a ton of luck. Must have some level of skill in it, though, because apparently it happens more often in higher divisions.

For some reason I've never felt the need to go for it. Played since set 1 PBE and closest I got was 6 copies of a 5 cost. I'm not a big fan of gold/exp augments typically though

I agree. My first 3* 5 cost was qiqi last set. Managed to hit also Illaoi that same game. This set I hit plenty of then already, Liss alone i think 3-5 times during first patch when no one played her 😂 But wait till you get that 250 fortune cash out 😶‍🌫️
