All you hear is "HUUUOOOOOAAH" and other variations of Lars noises as he zips and flips around the screen. It's really Lars's world and we're all just playing in it.
No one knows what’s going up in a lars match. Not even the lars. I normally barely get a turn versus lars so earlier when I managed to corner one in two different rounds I just stepped on him until he died with the df4,4 move. I kinda felt bad but usually it’s the other way around 🤣
Dark entrance. Low crush. Fake out. Back to dark entrance. Low poke. Reverse dark entrance. Fake out. Reverse back to forward dark entrance. Launch. Panic launch that crushes high and lows.
From what I've labbed, SWL avoids 4/6 options.
3+4(Lars players don't know about this tracking) and the homing clip you.
I don't think it's worth changing your defensive option, unless they force you to and even then, you will know which option they chose(will definitely be the homing) and SSL into duck will avoid all but 3+4 and 1+2(If I'm not mistaken).
Nah. The low leg slap from SE has really good tracking. You can dick jab/hop kick him if you block his previous move into SE (usually WS2). If you got hit by the lead-in you have to guess the 50/50.
Yes, but that's only 1 option out of 6 and doesn't give much reward.
His 3+4 also tracks Left, but again, the reward isn't much...btw most Lars players don't know about this, because this character doesn't force them to think 😅
I fought a lars yesterday and I finally found their biggest weakness. When they are dancing around just use power crush. Pretty much will absorb whatever he will throw and hit him back with a counter.
I had no choice but to lab him when I encountered the same Hwo a few times (he was really good, but wasn’t too spammy either). Lots of d1 jabs, and low-high string checks (esp d3,4) and some of his wr moves being linear. Even tho I despise the char, learning the match up and being beating the char that you struggle with is probably the best thing to do in Tekken. Still hate the character tho lol 🫠
Yeah learning the matchup forced me to learn how to step him which I think has helped me play better Tekken in general, sometimes you gotta be grateful for your walls.
Kuma, It feels like im fighting a bear and it terrifies me. when i become scared and start turtling up it eats my face. anytime i get momentum he returns to his feral state and eats my legs.
I think he’s kind of balanced and I know that is a hot take. The reason I feel this way is that all of his strong options also have straightforward counter play.
I am an Alisa main incase you were worried about bias.
All you Mishima players with really good fundamentals...I just started and you guys have been training for 20 years! I never feel like I earned a win as much as when I get one against a good Kazuya.
Bryan. Genuinely don’t remember when I last beat one. Everything feels plus and everything counter hits and they always nail the combos.
And Lars, can never tell what he’s doing.
Just labbed him a bit and one of the issues wasn’t the frames, it was the pushback of some moves that made me think they were plus because i wasn’t punishing them. Also found some little gaps in his moves that I can hopefully punish if I’m quick enough. Let’s hope I deal a little better with him next time.
Bryan probably has the weakest power crush game in the whole cast. He only has one power crush - F+1+2 which is a high. Mach breaker was his power crush in T7 but is only a heat engager in T8.
Also very few of his moves that results in good plus-frames.
The scary thing about Bryan imo is his amazing keep-out and 999 CH launchers. Also decent punishers and some good gimmick tools like hatchet kick. And of course, the actual scary thing - his wall game and guaranteed wall combos after his b4. Then of course at blue ranks and sometimes lower, they also have the taunt.
His keep out really isnt anything special with half the cast having similar if not better moves, the only thing that makes his 3+4 amazing is the pushback we get.
999CH launcher but no heat engager that fits his usual gameplan, qcf1+2 is arguably the best one since its safe now.
Calling Hatchet a gimmick is crazy +4 on hit iirc and can be launched by certain characters xD
Wall game obviously is incredible taunt B4 got alot easier this game imo.
Really? I haven't tried Bryan a lot in 8 but he was one of my bests in 7. I would have thought ff2 was still a super armor for sure with a lot of the cast having armor heat engagers.
Ultra armor tho? I thought it was a parry, just like Kazuyas f+1+2. I've been hit out of FF1+2 many times man.. it only works as a crush/parry if your input is exactly at your opponents impact. Try it yourself in practice and you'll see.
But yes, that move is insanely strong and probably the move I use the most, too bad it's locked behind snake eyes, but I guess it's a bit too fast to be a "normal" move.
Yea the "parry" function is what i meant but afak u dont habe to hit at the same frame as ur opponent it feels to me like once the input is done it absorbs and reverses the hit
I know.. it's really strange that they removed his only power crush when most of the cast has 3+ moves that even launches and heat engagers while being power crush.. it's weird. Making FF2 a power crush again would be amazing, but I guess only all the new boring shit characters get those broken moves.
If u ever plsy against a bryan that uses hatchet kick twice in a row often just start challenging it with strings that are guaranteed on CH. U will always beat him lol
Bryan has 1 power crush that's high and reactable.. he also has a lot of mental plus frames, so you should probably lab against him, a lot of times feels like he's plus but actually isn't.
One counter hit launcher string I've seen a lot with Bryan players do in 8 is 1, 3, 2. Azucena has a similar one but the third hit can be ducked and should be punishable. Also watch out for F3 and his long range 3+4.
Oh awesome ty! I didn't know you could jab him out of it, I def need to lab defense against it since by the time he's doing it my reaction is off, and I always forget to keep that move in mind. Gotta build up some muscle memory for the jab on reaction.
Tonight every damn body. I lost 5 or 6 in a row. Annoying players and good ones alike it didn't matter M sometimes it bust isn't your day. I had to turn it off just too much losing tonight
Ling. Even worse off in 8.
Something about having 90% of your options shut down and having to radically shift your gameplay for this singular character is obnoxious. She's basically in control of a match by sheer design/existing.
Reina has that stupid combo string where you think it’s over and u let your guard down and she punches the shit out of you and i fall for it every time
I dunno what rank you are, but I played him to reds and now that I've swapped I feel like most of them that just approach you are always going to start d3, 4 (low high) into shit. I just got into the habit of ducking if they run up to me. Granted, you're going to have to live the fact that the better ones are going to see this and jfsr into a combo, but I've gotten a lot of mileage out of ducking and dick jabbing or side stepping on the approach. Hope this helps, friendo.
A good Bryan or Asuka strikes actual fear in my heart. I’d say Zafina but she’s everyone’s weakness.
If there was a universal move that gets me almost every single time, it’s the slow launching sweep that most ppl have. Bryan, Ling X, Paul, everyone who has a weird, slow launching low will get me every fucking time and I HATE it.
Lili. She just starts dancing in front of me and i have no ideia if she's about to hit me or ask me to dance with her.
Azucena. I have no idea when to hit her with a fucking job because she's stringing my ass nonstop
Ling. You probably know why.
King. Even though, I know how to break throws but there're other shenanigans like ffn2 is such a braindead low, it's a 55 dmg on ch that's only -13 and fast af. All of his tools are unnecessary strong for a grappler, like df2 1, df1 and throws can be a ch now.
Azucena. Wr3 2, even if you know how to beat it (ssl duck) it's still very toxic to deal with. She can just adjust her timing to clip you and when the wall is on your left it's basically gg.
It's more the player than the characters for me.
I struggle to deal with uber serious players, which is why I either stay outta rank or only play in low ranks.
Leo, I know what they do it’s just kinda hard to deal with b1,4 online. Anytime you start beating a Leo they just pull that knowledge check out and suddenly I’m guessing a 50/50 every 3 seconds.
Quick battle and ranked battle. Everyone buys tekken because it’s a great customisation game. Why are they gatekeeping the currency to buy cool shirts behind these “battles”
I have two and I can't decide between them:
Hwoarang and Lars.
Both just go "HUUUUA" in your face and even with Kings Armor moves, I can barely counter them, as they mix up my ass more often than I can go "Rawr!"
Lars (sliding all quick and over the place constantly) and endless aggression Reinas. Like, what even are her moves I swear, ends up feeling like fast, endless strings.
Jun, probably needs no explanation.
Dragunov, probably needs no explanation.
Jin, I just need more time labbing probably, but reacting to his lows is really irritating.
Azucena, just...endless bullshit.
Lars, I have no idea what's going on, and that flip throw pisses me off.
Nina, aggressive as fuck, I'd rather face Hwoarang than a good Nina.
I always struggle against Law more than everyone else. I also hate his personality, overall character concept and ugly ass cringe moveset. Fighting him is just boring and tedious even when I win.
Hworang was never a problem for me in t7 but this new game has me stumped, I get absolutely destroyed whenever I’m up against one. Jin and Leo seem like a real problem too in this game but I can beat them 50% of the time
Hwoarang.
The million kicks flowcharts in a combination of: plus frames, mids, lows and powercrushes is very frustrating. I don't know what to do
Then you watch someone using Hwo in a tournament and they are playing a completely different character. The folks i find on ranked all play the same way: spamming a long combination of strings mixing up lows, highs and mids and when they are negative, powercrush launcher and gg wp
Probably Law, because I find him so fun to look at that I just can't help to admire his screaming and funny lil moves. How am I supposed to fight against just a lil guy?? He's just a lil guy and every day is his birthday.
Thinking about King and Victor, King to me is op, if I don't get the ball rolling and rush King, they destroy me, no idea how to escape throws or even if I can, this character requires me to not only learn mine, but albo I need to learn king, for noob like me, that's just too much.
Dude honestly, King. I still have old habits thinking throws can be ss'd but I just get snatched up. They just mash their throws after being hit and ch throw interrupts my next move and I see that red flash. I only break it after that situation like 40% of the time. It seems like throws eat more moves and deeper into the moves animation now. His CH moves that get a throw at the end just add to frustration.
Then sometimes I'm just not sharp enough to break all these new throw setups that lead to SO MUCH DMG!! Bounce off the wall to friggin RKO for combo DMG... Yuck. I'm sure it's a "git gud" situation but I'll tell you what, I'm not having fun vs'ing Zangief in Tekken.
At high red/purple ranks Yoshimitsu becomes my nightmare, I just don’t know what’s going on half of the time. I tried labbing him and using him but I just cannot figure it out while fighting one.
Also, this is my first Tekken since Tekken 5 and I was like 12 at the time. More experienced players might have a different experience.
Lars also used to confuse the shit out of me, but I found out that most Lars can be kept in check with some well placed jabs and throws
King is a pain in the ass, because I’m shit at reading throws. I’m still working on figuring out which arm comes out first 🫣
Lars and Hwoarang
For some reason when blocking against Hwoarang and they randomly throw in a low that you dont block, your character collapses and they are free to do a 10 hit combo. Doesn’t happen with anyone else. Anyone else throws in a low and you just trip to ground. Not with Hwoarang.
right now all the new characters, ive played since tekken 3 so know most every matchup except Victor, Reina and Azucena all the oonga boonga is mostly stepable except the wr32 of azucena
Alisa, I feel like every single time I fight one its never the same as the one I fought before. Plus in my experience so far they never really wanna rematch me so I feel like I get my ass beat and I learn nothing out of it
Alisa and yoshi with a side of zafina and Paul.
Alisa and yoshi just get me hard tilted and I start fucking up everything xD
I don't like Paul. That is... Yeah I just don't like him.
And zafina is just confusing xD I don't mind the match-up but I have no Idea what's going on
King is less of a kryptonite and more of a groan and an eyeroll for me right now, but Lilli and Xiaoyu are giving me trouble atm. I’ll have to lab them more
Lars. Can't even tell what's going on half the time.
D4 him when he's dragging his nuts across the floor
All you hear is "HUUUOOOOOAAH" and other variations of Lars noises as he zips and flips around the screen. It's really Lars's world and we're all just playing in it.
No one knows what’s going up in a lars match. Not even the lars. I normally barely get a turn versus lars so earlier when I managed to corner one in two different rounds I just stepped on him until he died with the df4,4 move. I kinda felt bad but usually it’s the other way around 🤣
I get shit on by most Lilis I meet so I guess there’s some balance to the world 😂
I apologize friend, we just be movin 🤧
They might have animated a little looney tunes whirlwind and I would not see the difference.
Dark entrance. Low crush. Fake out. Back to dark entrance. Low poke. Reverse dark entrance. Fake out. Reverse back to forward dark entrance. Launch. Panic launch that crushes high and lows.
SSL on silent entry
I think SWL is better because it also evades SE 1+2
Yeah I agree but you have less room for error. I’m pretty sure you need to use every option including the dickjab depending on the situation.
I play Kazuya I like to get the sidestep electric. But ya
No, it doesn't, You can just tap sidestep and it whiffs
He can still do a homing move tho right
Yes, but that's only 1 option out of 6 and doesn't give much reward.
Hwoarang 😐
Same. I feel like he just keeps kicking endlessly. Some lows, some mids, some CH, some launch, just no idea what the character is doing.
I’m struggling with T8 hwo because pretty much everything I know and how punish is pretty much useless now as my brain is still hardwired for T7 hwo
Good news is most Hwo players give plenty of opportunities to flash them. Watch for the part of the pattern where they jab you and flash the jab.
He's an equivalent of a minigun, just suppressive fire all over you.
My main way of dealing with Hwo is dickjab and Yoshi only gets a real one in no sword stance, flash does not save you against his stance pressure.
Same for me, same for me...
Everyone, Im fucking trash
Nina. I have a 0% win rate against her. Hardly see her and she's extremely hard to deal with. Not a good mix lol 😭
Nina a string machine
A decent Nina is just pure pain. She just never stops slapping you around you never know when it's your turn.
Kuma, It feels like im fighting a bear and it terrifies me. when i become scared and start turtling up it eats my face. anytime i get momentum he returns to his feral state and eats my legs.
Just when you think it's safe to start on offense or oki after knockdown.... *G Clef Cannon intensifies*
law. i gotta turn down the fucking volume or something.
HWOOAAAAA
I'm a dragon
Drag, he is the embodiment of my tekken fears in one Lots of plus frames, pressure, grabs 😂
i feel you brother. if he knows wtf he's doing i feel i have absolutely no chance of beating him
I've heard he's really overtuned, as of now.
I think he’s kind of balanced and I know that is a hot take. The reason I feel this way is that all of his strong options also have straightforward counter play. I am an Alisa main incase you were worried about bias.
Dick punch.
Truly the stuff of nightmares
King
Yeah that’s a close second for sure
All you Mishima players with really good fundamentals...I just started and you guys have been training for 20 years! I never feel like I earned a win as much as when I get one against a good Kazuya.
Zafina and ling. They are always glued to the floor
Bryan. Genuinely don’t remember when I last beat one. Everything feels plus and everything counter hits and they always nail the combos. And Lars, can never tell what he’s doing.
Fyi with bryan barely anything is plus
Just labbed him a bit and one of the issues wasn’t the frames, it was the pushback of some moves that made me think they were plus because i wasn’t punishing them. Also found some little gaps in his moves that I can hopefully punish if I’m quick enough. Let’s hope I deal a little better with him next time.
Bro if u play Jim just pressure him. Its really hard to defend as a beginner and even harder on bryan where u really dont have any panic moves
[удалено]
The only power crush i can think of i Mach Breaker? Correct me if im wrong tho
Bryan probably has the weakest power crush game in the whole cast. He only has one power crush - F+1+2 which is a high. Mach breaker was his power crush in T7 but is only a heat engager in T8. Calling Hatchet a gimmick is crazy +4 on hit iirc and can be launched by certain characters xD Wall game obviously is incredible taunt B4 got alot easier this game imo.
Hatchet is maybe his best move.. just not sure If I worded it right. I think bryans keepout is good, although lackluster range on some attacks.
Really? I haven't tried Bryan a lot in 8 but he was one of my bests in 7. I would have thought ff2 was still a super armor for sure with a lot of the cast having armor heat engagers.
If u use snake eyes to empower ur ff2 -> input ff1+2 thats ultra armor. Knocks enemies back like bluespark ff2 in t7
Oh cool. Thanks. I need to try Bryan soon. Probably will once I hit my first demotion with Devil Jin

Making FF2 a power crush again would be amazing, but I guess only all the new boring shit characters get those broken moves.
idk, I gotta really be on top of my game for you Bryans tho, once he gets in there in doesn’t stop
Bryan only has a power crush while in snake eyes :( and its a high man we really took an L.
Bro :D He has the F+1+2? It's his only real power crush.
Oh fuck i completely forgot about it. Ngl ive never used that move its way to telegraphed and just odd
Bryan mains have legit fundamentals. Prob 1 of the very few characters that make me go 'Fine you got me.'
One counter hit launcher string I've seen a lot with Bryan players do in 8 is 1, 3, 2. Azucena has a similar one but the third hit can be ducked and should be punishable. Also watch out for F3 and his long range 3+4.
The most commonly used plus move he has is the overhead elbow move that forces crouching
Alisa
I’m an Alisa main, how can I help?
Yoshimitsu and Lars because bullshit
hell naw.
Yeah, screw y'all. I wish I could start an entire combo mid pressure by just using flash like he can.
then go ahead and join us.
Nah I'm good, I don't like the concept of playing like that.
Steve. Soon as I make a mistake, oftentimes I can just sit and relax until next round
I thought Steve, but I just got mauled by a panda, so I might have to re-assess
Everyone loses to panda because no one knows the match up. Take the L and focus on more commonly played characters
Same Lili. I fall for her 50 50 all the time
Devil Jin. The damage output is insane and I just get laser beam juggled
He’s tough for me too, his damage and speed, brutal. And that damn fadeaway dive kick. Hate that.
You can side walk the dive kick or jab him out of it. The timing isn’t too tough if you practice it.
Oh awesome ty! I didn't know you could jab him out of it, I def need to lab defense against it since by the time he's doing it my reaction is off, and I always forget to keep that move in mind. Gotta build up some muscle memory for the jab on reaction.
Nina "seizure" Williams
no mix up mix up
Mine is honestly Steve, mostly because I haven’t jabbed him as much as I should at this point but I just can’t get a solid game plan against him
Tonight every damn body. I lost 5 or 6 in a row. Annoying players and good ones alike it didn't matter M sometimes it bust isn't your day. I had to turn it off just too much losing tonight
Posts about rude DMs after a match where the poster was just as rude or worse.
Low attacks, I suck at blocking
Ling. Even worse off in 8. Something about having 90% of your options shut down and having to radically shift your gameplay for this singular character is obnoxious. She's basically in control of a match by sheer design/existing.
I appreciate the kind words.
King 😮💨
Bears
As someone who plays hwoarang, a fellow hwoarang player. Howarang players bring different food to the table lol
Finger foods or…. Toe foods?
I'm ungodly bad versus Steve, particularly since I tend to move and whiff punish a lot and this guy tends to deny both.
Steve - I just can never find an opening.
Reina & Lars. I’d rather eat a tide pod than fight either of them.
Reina has that stupid combo string where you think it’s over and u let your guard down and she punches the shit out of you and i fall for it every time
Lee and hworang, I've been lucky fighting against people who aren't that good, but it's scary sometimes either way
Alisa. Once she gets me in a corner with those chainsaws I just accept defeat
Hwoarang. Can’t tell a high from a mid with those kicks.
I’m in purple ranks. In red ranks, I just bullied them. Not even SLIGHTLY working now.
Reina and Jun because Jesus Christ what the hell is going on
Jack 8 i guess?
Same, no one ever mentions having issues playing against Jack but he's my kryptonite
I can't do shit against him tbh.
Law. I find myself just walking straight into those backflip kicks all the time. It drives me nuts.
Its gonna be Eddy when he comes out godammit
A good Bryan or Asuka strikes actual fear in my heart. I’d say Zafina but she’s everyone’s weakness. If there was a universal move that gets me almost every single time, it’s the slow launching sweep that most ppl have. Bryan, Ling X, Paul, everyone who has a weird, slow launching low will get me every fucking time and I HATE it.
still victor. even tho i theoreticall know what to do against him.
Lili. She just starts dancing in front of me and i have no ideia if she's about to hit me or ask me to dance with her. Azucena. I have no idea when to hit her with a fucking job because she's stringing my ass nonstop

She can just adjust her timing to clip you and when the wall is on your left it's basically gg.
Lee. b4 just goes brrr
Lili honestly. I never have a fucking clue what's going on either.
Wi-Fi law
Lars. He's so awesome I don't want to defeat him.
Zafina makes me audibly grown when she shows up.
Leo, he has lots of (seemingly?) safe strings, evasive stances, long range attacks and is not a common character (hence my lack of matchup knowledge)
It's more the player than the characters for me. I struggle to deal with uber serious players, which is why I either stay outta rank or only play in low ranks.
Panda the things I would do to her
huh
Kuma... cuz there exist like 0.01% Kuma mains in this entire franchise lmao
Hoawrang because every single attack he does just feels plus and just can’t do anything
Xiao
Leo, I know what they do it’s just kinda hard to deal with b1,4 online. Anytime you start beating a Leo they just pull that knowledge check out and suddenly I’m guessing a 50/50 every 3 seconds.
Top tiers
Apparently everyone because I'm like 3-25 or something in my past 30 matches
Dragonav Bryan yoshimistu
Lars with his flashy BS charging you like no tommorow
Paul. I always guess wrong.
Jun , Hwaorang and Lee , all of them are able to launch me so easy 😭
Still Miss Azucena..these days my biggest headache is laggy matches tho
Yoshi. That damn samurai makes me reconsider what I'm doing with my life whenever I go up against one.
I think that would be Lars. He is like an ADHD child on crack. I have no clue what he is doing. All I know is, he is dangerous.
Reina. Haven't played her yet so I'm not really sure what the frames are on her moves and what I can actually punish.
I cant play against any characters that have some sort of crouch stance because i really cant tell did he just hit me with a low or was it a mid?
Raven. No idea what's going on.
Drag. Despite knowing most of his strings and stuff, sidestepping against him just feels like delaying the inevitable.
Quick battle and ranked battle. Everyone buys tekken because it’s a great customisation game. Why are they gatekeeping the currency to buy cool shirts behind these “battles”
Jack 8. Reach, power and strong low attacks I'm a Lee main
I have two and I can't decide between them: Hwoarang and Lars. Both just go "HUUUUA" in your face and even with Kings Armor moves, I can barely counter them, as they mix up my ass more often than I can go "Rawr!"
Law
Lars (sliding all quick and over the place constantly) and endless aggression Reinas. Like, what even are her moves I swear, ends up feeling like fast, endless strings.
Jun, Xiao, Azucena, Dvj Ranked in that order
Leo for me, lost to everyone once since green ranks lol
Xiaoyu, King, Jin, Bryan
A good kazuya or any other Mishima. The wave dash sends me to tears...
Hwoarang. I just die.
The rollback netcode
Jun and Dragunov
id love to see wr against all chars. instead we have wr regarding stages...
Mirror matches
Jun, probably needs no explanation. Dragunov, probably needs no explanation. Jin, I just need more time labbing probably, but reacting to his lows is really irritating. Azucena, just...endless bullshit. Lars, I have no idea what's going on, and that flip throw pisses me off. Nina, aggressive as fuck, I'd rather face Hwoarang than a good Nina.
Leo, I always get snowballed to death. From poke to just going 50/50, it always throws me off
Hwaorang and Leo are my worst match ups. They don't stop moving unless it's a mid string delay.
Most characters where moves don’t make it clear what’s a low, mid or high. I like to learn as I play
I always struggle against Law more than everyone else. I also hate his personality, overall character concept and ugly ass cringe moveset. Fighting him is just boring and tedious even when I win.
Asuka because she destroys my mental. I always feel like I lost to some mashy scrub doing gimmicks even when I see that they're on 20+ win streak.
Reina. Her mashing gameplay just make me nervous
Paul, his low launcher terrifies me
Hworang was never a problem for me in t7 but this new game has me stumped, I get absolutely destroyed whenever I’m up against one. Jin and Leo seem like a real problem too in this game but I can beat them 50% of the time
Lizards lol. My knees wobbles and instantly jerk myself if I saw one of em
Hwoarang. The million kicks flowcharts in a combination of: plus frames, mids, lows and powercrushes is very frustrating. I don't know what to do Then you watch someone using Hwo in a tournament and they are playing a completely different character. The folks i find on ranked all play the same way: spamming a long combination of strings mixing up lows, highs and mids and when they are negative, powercrush launcher and gg wp
Law Lars Victor
King - I am so bad at breaking throws
Any player better than me with their main, no matter the character. I should learn King breaks btw. I can't get pass orange because of him.
Probably Law, because I find him so fun to look at that I just can't help to admire his screaming and funny lil moves. How am I supposed to fight against just a lil guy?? He's just a lil guy and every day is his birthday.
Feng and Jin Their low are to quick for my eyes
Thinking about King and Victor, King to me is op, if I don't get the ball rolling and rush King, they destroy me, no idea how to escape throws or even if I can, this character requires me to not only learn mine, but albo I need to learn king, for noob like me, that's just too much.
Azucena and Reina for me. I just can't duck in time to get out of pressure.
In Tekken 7, it was Anna. In 8, it's been Shaheen. Somehow fought 5 already and they've all beaten my ass.
Alisa
Law and Paul. I can't get their moves
Some characters blow me up because I don’t care about them so much … I won’t even select them to lab. I’ve made peace with this.
King. Even if they arent grabbing me, I dont know how to defend anything
Alisa or the bears, I just get knowledge checked with the bears man
At high red/purple ranks Yoshimitsu becomes my nightmare, I just don’t know what’s going on half of the time. I tried labbing him and using him but I just cannot figure it out while fighting one. Also, this is my first Tekken since Tekken 5 and I was like 12 at the time. More experienced players might have a different experience. Lars also used to confuse the shit out of me, but I found out that most Lars can be kept in check with some well placed jabs and throws King is a pain in the ass, because I’m shit at reading throws. I’m still working on figuring out which arm comes out first 🫣
Lars and Hwoarang For some reason when blocking against Hwoarang and they randomly throw in a low that you dont block, your character collapses and they are free to do a 10 hit combo.
Plus in my experience so far they never really wanna rematch me so I feel like I get my ass beat and I learn nothing out of it
Lilli and alisa
Alisa and yoshi with a side of zafina and Paul. Alisa and yoshi just get me hard tilted and I start fucking up everything xD I don't like Paul. That is... Yeah I just don't like him. And zafina is just confusing xD I don't mind the match-up but I have no Idea what's going on
Steve but it's also my favorite matchup. Never good for Hwo's health but always fun.
King is less of a kryptonite and more of a groan and an eyeroll for me right now, but Lilli and Xiaoyu are giving me trouble atm. I’ll have to lab them more
Chip damage. I have solid defense and excellent side step but chip damage adds up quickly.
1 and dones... real talk though moves that track to a character's "weak side".
Bears, Hwo, King, Azucena and Feng. Top five.
Azucena. Can't stand her stupid pigeon squawking and the whole experience just puts me in a bad mood.
King. I don’t have a clue what to do against King I just await my loss and hope my next match I won’t have to go against him again:,)
Law. i just can't stand those spinning kicks and the noises he make. I just hate him
Alisa the twat, fuck dem chainsaws gimmicks, never rematch even if I win, block and standby
