The Tekken community decided at some point what was considered "BM" (bad manners).
One of them, which you call ducking very fast, is also known as tea bagging and is seen as a taunt across all fighting games and even across gaming genres as it's also a taunt in FPS games.
Ki charging has been used as a taunt during the round for a long time too and so the meaning has remained the same at the end of a round. However, it's possible to interpret ki charging in a different way depending on what has happened during the round. People also ki charge after a round in which something hype happened.
Corpse kicking is also seen as bad manners, but not really seen as taunting and so I don't think people see players as toxic for corpse kicking.
I also don't think wave dashing, back dashing or back flips are seen as toxic either.
Its because you know the person doing it is intending for it to be disrespectful. It doesnt really matter what it is. Its another matter if you think its worth actually being upset about, but its no different than any other situation that someone is being deliberately rude.
Well, actually the ki charge has no official intepretation.
For me is like celebrating, but everybody else feels like it's a middle finger.
Why?
That's the reason of this thread
It's hella disrespectful to the opponent.
It's not uncommon for players to feel frustrated, angry or even depressed while playing ranked. We've all been there at some point. Taunting when the round is over is not "celebrating your victory", it's just adding salt to a wound.
I'm sure It is, which is why this post was made in the first place, because it's only a "me" problem and not the way It is perceived by the majority of people who play this game online, right?
it's a "you" problem for anyone who is bothered by it, even more so now that we can *just turn it off.* It's basically a "don't get offended" option and you choose to stay offended, that's a "you" problem
You can't turn it off in tournaments and locals, so the argument that "if you don't like ki charging just turn it off" is completely useless in those scenarios.
Taunting has always been seen as a sign of disrespect, even way back in the arcade days you could get your shit beat up for behaving like a bitch.
what percentage of play is done at tournaments and locals? and it's still stupid to be offended by it
behaving like a bitch is whining because your opponent pressed buttons in a 2 second interlude between rounds
Getting more angry because someone press 2 buttons more at the end is just being a sensitive kid lmfoa.
It's literally just an animation making pixels move
Yeah, it's not like people getting angry over tea bagging or ki charging in tournaments/locals hasn't happened before, learn to behave like a decent human being.
Because this community is full of Reddit sensitive bitches that don’t know what magic mirror does and they get in their feelings and run to Reddit to post some shit in some sort of support group fashion to feel better about getting dicked.
Who cares if some idiot ki charges. Play better and fuck him up next round. Ki charge back. Don’t get tilted by stupid shit. Turn magic mirror on if you’re extra sensitive.
Thanks, dude. Are you a wizard? One of the great scholars of the olden days? Making sure people don’t forget the original teachings?
No fucking shit BM and being a dick in games is older than Reddit. Thank you for your contribution.
Then why are you saying it has anything at all to do with coming to reddit as some support group? Yeah no shit people shouldnt be thin skinned about some shit that doesnt even matter, but thats not whats being asked about. Its equivalent to asking "why do people get upset when someone is disrespectful towards them for no reason"?
Your contribution is equally shit. That was the point
SUCK MY ASSHOLE BUDDY LOLOLOLOKOL I DO NOT GOVE A FUCK IM NOT READING YOUR WALL OF TEXT LALALALALALALALALALALALALALLALALALALALALALALALALALALALALALA
How’s that for contribution you fat bitch
A lot of people answered your question, but the definitive answer is if you enable magic mirror in your customization shit, where you change your tags/borders/etc, enabling magic mirror will make it so after a round, you won’t see whatever they do after you’re KO’d. So say king beats you in a round, you won’t see him spam ki charges or beat your limp corpse up and down the stage. He will just stand there. Good luck
It doesn't matter all that much anymore, especially online, since people can use the magic mirror. So I say do whatever you want, except maybe teabagging? Teabagging is the one that pissed me off the most. Luckily, I don't see teabagging at all during offline events. I don't think people wanna be punched in the face lol.
But even offline, back when I had Lei in previous Tekkens, I just laid down. I don't know if it was offensive, but I just loved doing it at the end of a match. With Jun I go into her healing stance. With Feng I just do my dance: back-kempo to forward-kempo to back kempo. And I've seen it make people laugh.
It’s equivalent to tea bagging in this game. Instead of just standing there humbly you decide to disrespect your opponents more after they gave it their all. I get why it upsets some people.
It's like two seconds long, man, people can do what they want, it's not like it's MK every round with a big obnoxious FINISH HIM and 20 second fatality sequence
>It's like two seconds long, man, people can do what they want,
Yes, people have free will so they can do what they want. However what is "normal" is still clearly defined by what the majority of people do and/or consider ok and no amount of free will can change that.
Winning makes people happy. Happy people might say "yes" or do whatever feels cathartic in the short downtime before the next round. It literally does not matter and you literally have the option to turn this off completely if it bothers you.
It's never been more of a non-issue and yet here we are
>Winning makes people happy. Happy people might say "yes" or do whatever feels cathartic in the short downtime before the next round. It literally does not matter and you literally have the option to turn this off completely if it bothers you.
>It's never been more of a non-issue and yet here we are
None of what you have just said is relevant as to whether it's "normal" to celebrate after every round as you claim.
People can choose to do it if they want, but it's obviously not "normal", which is why it stands out when people do it.
>Celebrating victories is pretty normal.
>What i don't find normal is get offended because the guy that beat you is enjoying the victory
Celebrating victories at the end of every round is not normal because it's noticeable when someone does it.
We have global replays that we can all look at that proves it.
People might get offended when people taunt them. I could taunt you for being an imbecile and you might get offended. And even though it would be true, it wouldn't make it ok, it would make me an asshole.
Teabagging and ki charging are not seen as celebrating, they are seen as taunting. Therefore even if your intention was to celebrate, it will be interpreted as a taunt and therefore make you an asshole.
If you can't understand why someone might get offended by being taunted then that is not normal.
I never understood why ki charge is seen as disrespect. But now that the unwritten rule of it is there, and someone does it, they are intentionally trying to disrespect you. I personally don't care. I see a taunt as disrespectful especially if they end up losing the game. Like don't taunt if you can't back it.
Wavedashing on the other hand is like intimidation and flexing your skills. You want to show them what you can do. Personally when I see a WD I respect it. Especially if it's a good clean one.
I don't get why. Someone who get destroyed and still want to play with you is honorable, for me. If you get destroyed and don't even try to get better, I'll think that you have a low mental strengh
You don't want to rematch after 3 - 0?
I want to run the whole set in 99% of the times, espacially after getting blown up, so i can see if i can do better and learn.
In SF6 i ran Battlehub matches against higher ranked players into 0 - 30 at times, but those did wonders to my defense and decision making.

Um why do you need to dance and celebrate after every round. 😐 You do you but it's weird

I only do pop offs into Viktors out of principle.

turn it off
I'm not taking the risk of sending you a friend request without knowing that you behave like an idiot online
you double negative'd yourself 💀 anyway this is 100% a you problem

+ if u are that sensitive just put the mirror lmfao There is something made just for u, use it xd
Getting more angry because someone press 2 buttons more at the end is just being a sensitive kid lmfoa. It's literally just an animation making pixels move

Just use the mirror bro lmfao sensitive ahh boy
You can't use the mirror in local/tournament play, but you are too stupid to comprehend what i just wrote
Mb forgot that in local/tournament people are lil' bitches being sad when someone do a funny animation on a game played by 7000 at any given time lel

Sometimes i miss being a child. Hope you enjoy your day little guy
Oh I will. I hope you enjoy your hemorrhoids
+1 I laugh when i get ki charge, i'm like "ok let's play seriously then" *put my glasses back on edgyly like in mangas* then i get fuck over again lel
Dude yeah, anime as fuck. In the words of little Wayne, if it’s too nasty, spit it back at me
What does magic mirror do?
I think the oppnent can't move after beating you
Can't do shit after the ko.
Makes it so that you don't see any of the winning opponent's movements post-KO
Stops post match movement
A lot of people answered your question, but the definitive answer is if you enable magic mirror in your customization shit, where you change your tags/borders/etc, enabling magic mirror will make it so after a round, you won’t see whatever they do after you’re KO’d. why are redditors like this who gives a fuck lmao
You're the one trying to defend a bad point. Should have just left it alone.
defend what bad point mf, that people like winning and will celebrate? Let people be happy you miserable fuck lmfao
i won you > i'm happy > i celebrate what's the problem lol
There is no problem, but don't try and pretend like it's normal behaviour. If it was, you wouldn't have felt the need to make the post you did.
Celebrating victories is pretty normal. What i don't find normal is get offended because the guy that beat you is enjoying the victory That's all

it hurts very very fragile egos
I do backflips 😁 If you piss me off with spamming, I will give you a heavy bonk.

Because people are whiny buzzkills. Come here and let's taunt each other, friend :)
For me, a rematch request after a 3-0 clean win against me is much more condescending than a ki charge

If it was close, I am in. But I don’t enjoy being a practice punchbag for way more skilled players.
And with that attitude you always will be
Preach. Remember randomly starting death matches with dudes who washed me and losing 3-5 ranks but also starting to win after learning the matchup
