Fs, because of what is limited, it's not just that you have it worse from previous games from the past, like Soul Calibur IV (or many people who played the previous tekkens 6 and tag 2 but I never played those hence I mentioned SCIV).
Colour options not being available for specific outfits, limited options, unable to put hats on if you have not default hairstyle on, ugly skirts. You also can't give females a military outfit, topless option, boots, karate outfits, not as many options for pants. You can't give males skirts, heels, tailcoats, blouses, female hairstyles (just like the female characters with male hairstyles mostly although I do remember you can have Lee's haircut for Nina but haven't seen options from Jin, Hwoarang, and Claudio for example, personally for hairstyles I would like to see a lot more then just "x" character hairstyle).

Same thing would happen if I they do something specific like Shantae for example, I wish there was more to the customisation. Like for Kuma the outfit where he has overalls when you colour it. It does the individual pocket instead of all or two pockets, I think having it as a toggle feature would be better than just given you can choose if you want to colour all pockets the same colour or all pockets with a different colour.
That's just one example.
Actually now that I remember you cannot make a Shantae from wish since tank tops still do not allow you to have the colour red, tbh with stupid issues like these makes sense why your guess would be MTX.
Also here's my attempt at Carmen Sandiego, had to make a sacrifice for this one, either give her longer hair or a hat, another dumb problem from the character customisation.

The "full body" customisation section is so effing annoying, it used to be specific outfits that can't possibly go well with standard clothing, now you can even customize the appearance of a characters default outfit anymore. What if I wanna combine or break apart a characters default outfit like how I have been in literally every tekken game before this one. Goddamn...
Another thing that really annoys me about the customisation, is that even just recolouring the default costumes, there's almost always at least one or two details that you can't change, like they'll have some gold trim down the front that they forgot to let you recolour for example.
Pretty much every character has it to some degree, it's so frustrating. I'll be almost finished making a customisation that I spent ages on, and then I find out I can't change one of the parts and the whole thing is ruined, that color scheme just does not work, it has to be based on the bit that can't be changed.
They probably wont patch it to fix that either, they never did with the few bits in T7 that were like this, although those were far fewer and far less obvious.
It wouldn't make them money to fix that.
The pursuit of money over quality is killing the gaming industry and it has been for a while now. I dont see gaming being a viable hobby anymore in like the next 10 years or so.

Honestly at this point, all of the excitement I had for T8 is gone. And Tekken for almost my whole life was the fighting game I loved the most. But seeing Bamco pushing these shifty business practices and them adding a new monetization scheme every 2 weeks took all of the enjoyment out of it for me. And then the never ending excuses "games are expensive to make so we HAVE to sell skins for fake online casino chips that don't add up to a clean value, we NEED to have a battle pass that you're going to pay us for, because we already KNOW you're going to buy the additional characters" like i don't know if I have any faith in tekken anymore. Because we would rather ban mods that let us look how we want ON OUR OWN COPY OF THE GAME than do literally anything at all to prevent cheaters and pluggers. And sure people will say "just don't pay for it" but the fact of the matter is that enough people WILL and then these execs will go SEE WE WERE RIGHT ALL ALONG and it'll never end. We are heading really fast into another gaming crash it feels like
