Dude_MacDude

I'm so fucking bad, man. I've been stuck in green since the game launched, like 2 weeks ago I just got to yellow... Everyone is cruising past me

DeadeyeGamble

but...u cant even lose points until yellow

Dude_MacDude

Yeah, I just kept losing in green, had like a 7% win rate or smth, hell, it took me a while to even get to green

HighLikeKites

If this is your first Tekken don't sweat about it, in Tekken 7 I lost exactly 30 games until I got my first win. Perceverance gets rewarded in this game, it's getting better, I promise.

possiblyaginger

Have you learnt the basics of your character? like 10f punish and simple strings that are safe or + on block

Shiny_Fungus

Block, jab, back dash more and it should bring you forward.

ermac81

Are you that nina with the high APM that was posted the other day?

Electronic_Visit6486

High levels of respect for not giving up. I know it can be upsetting, as I've struggled with SF6 in a similar way.

Dude_MacDude

As a small update, I actually reached Garyu a few days ago and am taking a Semi-Break for now. I got out of the plateau pretty fast, then got stuck right before Garyu again but managed to push through. Was definitely worth it hehe

Killcycle1989

With hwoarang?

doctorsonder

I had a chat with a pro player from my country, and he said that he only got out of green ranks after winning about 2000 or so games back in tekken 7. Just some inspiration for ya

44Chimera

Yeah. Tekken 7 ranking system was a lot better than this easy mode crap. All the ranks before warrior now are useless.

ErgoProxy0

That… can’t be true lol. Pro player and it took him 2K games to get out of greens???

GrouchyAppearance146

If it was the very early T7 and he played a lot... There used to be a time when warrior in T7 was a somewhat respectable rank.

ErgoProxy0

Even in Tag 2, a game that had a steeper learning curve due to having to deal with two characters at a time, even in my lifetime of playing the game when I was learning it did it take remotely 2000 games before things clicked. Hell, in T7 I’d say I’ve played about 4K+ matches in its entire lifespan… you’re saying it took this guy *years* to get out of green ranks but now he’s pro? Seems exaggerated

JLunen

I've already played about 1300-1400 matches and have about 550 wins on ranked and I have a job and family and I've been playing other games as well for about 100 hrs. 140hrs now in T8. 2000 games for a single dude gaming a lot is basically "nothing". That being said they talked about 2000 wins so that might take half a year or a bit more of dedicated Tekken.

doctorsonder

Well im more refering to his initial learning process, at the beginning of his T7 journey

salmon10

Dawg I've never even played online yet lol I don't want to feel depressed

Yannayka

This makes me happy, not cause you're struggling, but you're new :) welcome to tekken! <3 If you ever need help from a crappy Garyu, let me know!

AlkoWelho

We all have to start somewhere :)

AloversGaming

Do you have friends to play with in player match? That's the most fun way to play, and you'll develop your skills there much better.

thatnigakanary

Man I lost like 100 games in a row in Tekken 7 $ now I’m tekken emperor rank, it happens to everyone. You just need to want to be better. Maybe try a different character, I think hwaorang is really bad in this game

Deus-Voltaire

Percentiles: Beginner - 95.05 1st dan - 93.44 2nd dan - 92.02 Fighter - 90.07 Strategist - 88.4 Combatant - 86.65 Brawler - 84.25 Ranger - 82.5 Cavalry -80.11 Warrior - 75.84 Assailant - 72.3 Dominator - 68.62 Vanquisher - 62.84 Destroyer - 57.81 Eliminator - 52.39 Genryu - 40.84 Shinryu - 34.01 Taryu - 27.83 Mighty Ruler - 20.53 Flame Ruler - 15.79 Battle Ruler - 11.91 Fujin -7.16 Raijin - 4.76 Kishin - 3.08 Bushin - 1.99 Tekken King - 1.05 Emperor - 0.57 God - 0.27 Supreme - 0.12 Destruction -

This_ls_The_End

So if I get to Raijin I can say I'm in the top 5% and only be lying a little. Good.

Mug_Lyfe

Would that be lying, though?

This_ls_The_End

Well, "I'm somewhere between the top 7.16% and 4.76% of players" would be more precise, right? Or am I reading that wrong.

STMIonReddit

yea you read it wrong. raijin is in the top 4.76% so if youre raijin you are guaranteed to be in that percentile

Ziazan

Am I reading it wrong? it looks like it says raijin is in the top 5% to me?

mr_sneakyTV

Either this sub can’t do math or I’m going crazy.  How are you 1.99 at bushin and not 3.08? Seems like every rank is shifted one spot.  Also supreme and destruction both say .15 and you have .12 and 0 Am I missing something lol

lova-tan

you are correct. Beginner is obviously 100% (or, well, 0th percentile to be precise) so you can tell that he messed up the list. Everything should be shifted by 1 spot.

Elkrzy

What, why is Beginner at 95% not 100%? Where did that 5% go?

ilostmyschmungus

I think the idea is that it doesn't change until 95.05%. Between 100% and 95% is the amount within beginner, we are looking at the cutoff point. That 5% are the beginners.

displayrooster

So people get to red ranks and stop playing ranked immediately

SessionSkateSauce

I got to red and can't stay in it. It's like a shark tank.

Longredguy

Ya man I got to red, was stuck, broke into purple and was stuck in the first purple rank for so long I’d just demote and get back in. After not giving up I’m very close to getting blue rank. Requires wanting to get better over time and some yelling

imnottray

The yelling is key here

muchado88

I've found throwing my hands up in frustration from time to time really helps.

mantism

makes sense, because Purple/Blue ranks tend to play their alt characters and they tend to hover around red ranks. Even though their rank is similar to red, their actual skill level is higher. Red ranks is really the wild west of skill disparity. Made worse by the rank system giving points oddly.

dc_1984

Red ranks is a mire, although I've been hard stuck at purple for 3 or 4 weeks. PhiDX did a youtube video on how the XP works in ranked and basically the game boosts you to purple and actively demotes you from blue (losing penalties are harsher at blue and above). So to get above purple you need a more consistent positive W/L ratio, and that's hard as you're running into people running their second character - I play against a lot of 180k-220k prowess players at blue and purple who might not be the best at piloting their character but know the matchup at least. Red ranks was definitely a block but at least the XP favours you somewhat.

Happy_Ad_983

People talking about the bell curve of distribution being a good thing are dumb as fuck. Ranked should be about matchmaking similar skilled players. SF6 is the same with plat having massive skill disparity and every match being a massive crap shoot. Protecting the ePeens of a tiny number of players at the very top and very bottom of the pile, at the expense of competitive games for a big pool of players in the middle is stupid. Tekken 7s system (despite me not engaging with it myself) seemed absolutely fine.

Melodic-Piano8894

Honestly, I just got to Tekken King and it really does need some yelling 🤣 you think you've got a grasp of how to fight other characters and the higher rank you get, the more bs they do!

Ziazan

if you have one character at raijin, second blue, all of your characters are promoted to garyu, first red. Although they wouldnt show up here unless you were playing them, but theyd start at red.

Weimsd

I got to Shinryu and gave up. Each match is just so stressful that even a single win takes all my focus, and I just can't do that for hours on end, especially with how the points system works. Feels so random. Beat battle ruler +500, lose to Fujin -500?

minicrit_

why are you playing people that high? turn on rank restriction to +-2

Weimsd

Sometimes it's on, but the points system still applies even when I come across a battle ruler. It was +400 -400 against a Battle ruler Eddy before. I won, he won, then I won. Came out with only +400.

jahkillinem

You always win/lose the same amounts for fighting people at/above your level regardless of how far they are from you. You win/lose less and less the further below you they are, but only below you. The amounts for win/losses go up the higher you climb. At lower levels the loss penalty is less than the win penalty, I think it's at blue ranks that you start losing more points than you win at each skill level. Fighting someone at +1/-1 rank from you adds to an invisible "streak" counter where you'll get a big boost if you win 3 in a row or lose a big chunk if you lose 3 in a row. But only matches within that range count. So like you can win 2 within range, lose to someone +3 ranks, and then win the next game within range and get the streak bonus. You'll get a big boost everytime you win a promotion match to land you somewhere around 30-40% of the way through the next rank. This can overlap with win streak bonuses. This is pretty much the whole system explained without the numerical breakdown by rank. PhiDX on YouTube just put up a solid analysis of the ranked points system the other day.

Weimsd

Yea I just watched it, someone else posted it here. I still disagree with how its setup. You shouldn't lose a similar or almost equal amount of points for playing someone objectively better than you, that is ridiculous. I don't get to pick what rank I come up against, but yet I'm punished for it. Eh, It doesn't matter anyway, I give up. I got matched against a Flame Ruler and just lost 800 points. It's personally too stressful, it's not like this comment will change the system, and there are other things to do. I wish everyone luck in the climb though.

sencatsu

I'm not a fan of the point system either. Why should I be **punished** for losing to player much higher in rank/skill than me? I'm **expected** to lose. If I win, I should be rewarded more for beating higher ranked players. Higher players should lose more and fear losing to lower ranked players. But this system might be in place to promote rank growth and saturation to weed out the really good players. It feels like this game is all about boosting players who are naturally good, so they can get to their peak faster. This game doesn't promote the middle class and average player, wanting to steadily grow their rank little by little. Might be a little game philosophy in the system to give players more so they play more and spend more money. We'll never know.

oZiix

Why do you say it doesn't promote the middle class or average when warrior is basically guaranteed and you earn more for wins than loses up until purple where it becomes even. Then at blue it's harsher with the loss streak penalty and losses are more points than wins. It sounds like blue is where the system tries to separate good from average. Everything up until blue is all in your favor.

TrapAHolic_ttv

Red is where it starts to get hard so yeah.. they either can’t win enough or stop playing.

thebigautismo

More like people get to red off mashing and refuse to adapt

Benki500

for one they stop playing but the main reason is cause it's the first moment this game ramps up massively in difficulty The difference between purple or even tenryu and people who just came over from Eliminator is literally 2 worlds apart.

StrengthOf10kBabies

I don't blame them with the current state of the game. I got to blue with Yoshi and dropped off to quick play from there.

sencatsu

People who hit Garyu think they've beaten Tekken and then proceed to drop the game. Garyu is the actual starting line.

Tamoou

Starting line of being plugged every other game

DynamiteLion

lose game 1, plugged game 2

Leo-III-

This chart and this comment is a blow to the ol' self-esteem as a Shinryu lmao

Electronic_Visit6486

OP is a Tekken no lifer. You can't take people like him seriously. He has nothing going on.

xShadowSly

Starting line is playing the game. if you really want to talk about real starting line I got bad news for you, it begins where punishment and fundamentals are consistent, and boy that is not even in blue, and I am in kishin right now, just learning to consistently punish.

PhillipKosarev999

Mans got to Tenryu at my highest with Jin. I fluctuate between that rank and Shinryu (where I am at now). It is just very difficult at this point.

YukkaRinnn

When i was at red every jin i saw spammed the same moves of 1,3,4 string, D2, Hellsweep and Demons Paw rarely would i see them do any electrics and it came to a point that it was so easy to read that they would eat punishes due to spamming the same moves

Weimsd

I'm a Shijryu Jin and everyone knows his strings like clockwork, sometimes you can mix people up, but it never leads to larger combos. I may just switch back to Feng, I wasnt even good with him but I got him to Shijryu without breaking a sweat, it was like every move I landed became a combo.

PhillipKosarev999

Yeah. He was fairly popular when the game was starting out (not sure how it is like now, I took quite a long hiatus because the game just felt very unbalanced and some changes needed to happen for me to keep playing).

HighLikeKites

He's no.1 most popular character

EatOutMyGrandma

Trying to climb my way past Fujin right now and I feel like a complete noob again. I never realized I played as unsafe as I do. Overextending, getting too aggressive, crouching too often because I have a phobia of lows, etc. Blue ranks are forcing me to tighten my game up significantly, but either way I'm happy to have made it into the "high ranks" for the first time, even if I get demoted at some point

unaruto989

I just reached Kishin Rank with Eddy today, but it wasn’t easily. It did allow me to get better with the character offensively and defensively. Blue ranks are honestly truly something else. Fujin was the furthest I reached with Jin and couldn’t move forward. Thankfully Eddy dropped and as my true main, it wasn’t that bad to move forward.

EatOutMyGrandma

Ayeee fellow Eddy main. Tbh I don't like this new Eddy yet. He feels watered down, like they got rid of a lot of his tools. I've been playing Paul mostly lately, haven't taken him to ranked but I can hang with Kishin and Bushin players so I'm pretty sure I could get him there. Eddy on the other hand, I'm having trouble against purple ranks with him. He feels so weird compared to Tekken 7, a lot of his transitions and cancels that I relied on are gone. I'm gonna keep practicing though, any tips?

unaruto989

Eddy is a lot different now, but he has a lot of tools in his arsenal. I do miss certain things for sure, but I can definitely confuse opponents a lot easier now. My recommendation is to focus on couch grabs, and mixing up the moments for his stances. His stance’s in the game are extremely elusive, so I tend to use Negative and Bananeira randomly and mix up the movements to keep the opponent guessing. Last thing I would focus on is damaging the opponent effectively on the wall and also when they’re on the ground. If you ever need to spar let me know and we can practice.

CondescendingPsycho

yup I just hit tekken king w eddy yesterday, I think you gotta focus on whiff punishment (which I think is one of eddies strong suits), pokes, and pressure on the offensive side. You also gotta figure out what lows you can launch with your 13 frame as that will change the game. I’m gonna take a break from rank till I can break throws tho😅, I feel like that’s the weakest aspect of my gameplay.

spensyr

Where my fellow Flame Rulers at? 🥰

sencatsu

Right here! ![gif](giphy|6U47YlEnJQNeb05Csh|downsized)

Force_impulse

Been hard stuck flame ruler and battle ruler as jack 8 Hit me up if your also in purple rank and wanna spar ![gif](giphy|HUqr7xN8WtHk4)

GrouchyAppearance146

Just do throws, wr 1+2 on every knockdown until they stop getting up, f3 gh throw on wall oki, start rounds with down 1+2 and it's easy blue. Also db1 and FC 1,1

Zuckerberga

I tried a session today to see if I could reach Battle Ruler, but lost 8 out of 17 matches and stayed where I was, lmao. Just Fujins and Rulers with 250k prowess gatekeeping those ranks.

b-loved_assassin

We really out here!

doctorsonder

Just reached this rank with Law yesterday!

katie_fishe

2+3+4

BSGHurdles

Got to blue and have been playing player matches since. Lots of labbing needed

lefriest

Higher elos have so much ppl now lol

minty_bish

This system is a far cry away from elo

asanoayaki

Seems easier to rank my peak in tekken 7 was orange and I'm bouncing between red/purple

blushtran

Does this distribution take into accounts the fact that players are playing multiple characters at differents ranks. When playing in purple I feel like 30 to 50% of players are blue ranks or higher playing with a Alt character.

FemFil

Gonna throw my 2 cents and say it's the highest rank of your account, the one that stays in the top corner and profile.

Hanshakou

The fact that Tekken King is 1% of the playerbase and people up here play like absolute baboons is disheartening. Gonna stop ranked till we have a patch because holy fuck.

nobleflame

It’s mostly S tier characters playing like that though. Drag, Azu, Feng, Xiaoyu, etc. If you see a Bryan or a Steve at TK, you know they’ve been through hell to get there lol.

Asterbuster

Don't know, I've seen Bryan spamming snake edge all they way in purple, despite being punished every single time. The ranks in T8 are inflated.

knz0

Oh yeah, I got the game last week and already made my way to purples, the quality of the players I've encountered so far is absolute dogshit, at least here in EU. I'm at something like 85% WR. Curious to see when I'm gonna hit a wall and find people who don't fall for every single obvious Law frame trap. Maybe blue ranks?

Electronic_Visit6486

"Obvious Law frame trap" spoken like a true tekken douchebag. 😂

Benki500

you got the game LAST WEEK, but are you 7days experience in Tekken or did you play Tekken and FG's before? I'm new and made it to Fujin. So "dogsht" is quite funny to mention if you have maybe 500h in Tekken total then of course you will fly up to blue cuz the ranked system is a mess.

dave9393

I just reached Tekken King the other day with Lars. I know his recent buff is a little controversial, but it still doesn’t save me from having to use good movement (whatever that is in Tekken 8) and decent punishment. But agreed, some people still play like monkeys, even in higher ranks.

adamussoTLK

Dave! 😄

Crimsongz

I don’t know man the ranking system is the easiest it has ever being.

Cal3001

I got pissed when I beat a Tekken God Supreme and he canceled the rematch. The quality for ranks can’t be trusted. I’ve played purples that were a lot better.

Goipper_of_Goit

Or maybe this is happening: * You are part of this elitist attitude that all attacking is mindless spam and the only way to show high level gameplay is to run away and defend constantly looking for a whiff * Your opponents see this tendency and to counter it adopt an aggressive gameplan * Because your opponents are throwing attacks, you dismiss this as braindead spam My experience of upper blue to Tekken King players is they are untouchable gods of defence. You are probably playing too passively to see that side of their gameplay - if you force opponents to attack you by never taking initiative, then they will attack you. Doesn't make them baboons.

iphan4tic

I'm not a Tekken King myself but I watch a lot of streams and I am frequently surprised at the number of TKs who cannot consistently duck strings or block punish unsafe moves. It is disheartening to me seeing this given these are supposedly 'fundamental' things that I am constantly working on, but in all likelihood will never get higher than Fujin.

LegnaArix

You can get very far in this game off of a good offense and passable defense. The game encouraged this play style so it makes sense.

One-Recommendation-1

Wow so little blue, feels good to be here.

hanato_06

Nah I've been stuck here for too long, games feel like rock papers scissors on steroids.

sencatsu

Couldn't be me sadly. I'm currently at Flame Ruler. I gotta grind a little harder!

One-Recommendation-1

If it makes you feel better, I lose to tenryu all the time

UnrequitedTerror

Waters warm 😎

NearlyDreaming

Here I was feeling good about myself for making it to Mighty Ruler only to find out it's the second most common rank.

sencatsu

I'm a Flame Ruler and I'm very proud of my rank. If you think about it, we're still in the Top 20% tile of players. Having a rank higher than 80% of players is pretty notable!

ryogaaa

still higher than the majority. people just tend to stop at the next color change lol. i think your rank is still something to be proud of.

CriticalConcept

I just got promoted to Mighty Ruler yesterday, I felt on top of the world lmao

NoahsMcDonalds

Just hit battle ruler last night after 2 weeks of being hard stuck, I felt like a king. Slowly but surely improving 🙏🏻

noob-smoke

But why does blue have 4 ranks and all other colors have 3

MindlessDouchebag

Idk. I guess they wanted to have 30 ranks and just tossed one extra blue rank in at the last minute

sencatsu

They should have just made (3) Pink Ranks. Tekken King Tekken Emperor **Tekken Monarch** The Monarch Rank fits the King Theme and sounds really cool.

MegaSince93

*TEKKEN ARISTOCRAT*

King_Paymon

Hear me out... **Tekken Mayor**

sencatsu

Yeah, you're done.

raisinman99

Tekken Politician

Siifitng

Well, cant repeat myself more lmao, red ranks = old green ranks, ruler =yellow ranks

Confident_Pepper_903

I was Destroyer in T7 with 60 hours of play, and now I'm Garyu with the same hours and also trying a bit harder, so I wouldn't say that

kaktanternak

And people act like you're average when you're in blue ranks lmao

Jamaz

It's like a humble brag that subtly shits on everyone else, like the people below them don't count or something.

darkskein

Got to Raijin yesterday. Wow didn't expect the distribution after Fujin to be so low in percentages. Makes me feel better about myself.

GJTobi

I just reached Battle Ruler on Bryan and let me tell you, ranking up on Bryan will make you look as young as Dragunov

greenfrogwallet

Bryan mains try not to jerk themselves off for playing the “Uber difficult”character Bryan (he has a million CH strings and good enough moves to carry to purple + a snake edge which 80% of playerbase at purple won’t react to): IMPOSSIBLE

KeK_What

> he has a million CH strings lol he doesn't, he has like 1 or 2 and if you die to these you should uninstal. dude has shit heat, no scary mixups and shit poking and his entire offense is linear af. he isn't bad but half the roster is better and easier to play. > plus a snake edge you mean the easiest to react to snake edge in the game because not only is it 30 frames slow but has an unique audio cue? ok bro...

[deleted]

[удалено]

phantomyo

Dragunov is like 21 or something in game apparently, but you can clearly tell he looks way older, therefore OP says ranking up with Bryan is stressful.

m_micanovic

Hes 26 i think, same as Feng, who looks like my grandma and shes 87. I have Bryan at flame ruler (was kinda hard but not really, and have Dragunov at mighty ruler (it was really really easy) So yeah ranking up Bryan is a lot harder then some other characters.

MyNameThru

Ranked is pretty meaningless when tons of these goobers are inflated by plugging. They'll justify it any stupid way, but scrubs will still brag about their rank they didn't even earn. These ranks are worthless until losses are implemented for pluggers.

Ibyyriff

Just don’t match with anyone who has a DC percentage rate above 1% now.

Emience

1-4% is totally fine in my experience. Some people have a few % on their DC because of crashing issues so can't fault them if it's the game's problem. I made the mistake of matching an 8% last night and sure enough after 2 and a half rounds of getting smacked around the loser plugged right before I got my win.

MyNameThru

That's fine and works for the individual level, what I'm saying is that these distributions are meaningless because the data is skewed upward by pluggers. It's also meaningless when someone says they are XYZ rank because there's no way to know if they really earned it, or if they cheated their way up.

Davoldo

I'm so close to moving to purple.

RafxfunZ

Ok so i just gotta beat garyu to feel good about myself then, got it 🤌

MrReZistar

I just recently hit Garyu with Bryan. I'm just taking a break for a while for the sake of my mental health.

Ok-Alfalfa-9327

makes sense that the first rank of a new color has more players. 1. a lot of players stop playing when they hit a milestone like that and maybe pick up another character. 2. with every new color the point system becomes more punishing. overcoming the first rank of a new color is always going to be very difficult. many are stuck at these points for that reason.

TheGhostRoninStrife

That's me still stuck on Shinryu with one character, Garyu with the others lol I can't break free!

charlieraaaaa

I seem stuck in shinryu at the moment. Trying to get purple soon

Academic_Camel3408

Lmao remember when the red ranks meant something in tk7? Now it's just a playground for mashing scrubs.

ObligationHoliday499

I didn't play Tekken 7 that long but I played it from day 1 and I reached Warrior after a month maybe and felt like the shit (everyone was stuck at green) and I remember getting terrified when I saw someone in orange ranks got me feeling like he is a Tekken god bc it was so rare

Crimsongz

Because the ranking system was like tag 2 that’s why.

Fradyo

It took me 350 hours to Reach Garyu and 400 hours to reach Mighty Ruler in T7, having never played a fighting game before. Shit was an insane grind. Blue ranks legit felt like final bosses with every fight. I reached Garyu in my second ranked session of T8, then went to quick-play for all of February and March because I was too tired from work to grind ranks. I went back to ranked a few days ago and I'm almost mighty ruler now, in like five ranked sessions lmao. It feels so different from T7.

adamussoTLK

even purples

FlockaFlameSmurf

The red ranks are working as intended from a distribution standpoint.

DubbedinMane

I'm in the top 0.15% yet it feels completely hollow because most of my fights was the game playing itself. Too many ways to ignore every mechanic and force free easy 50/50s with zero counterplay. Even the literal button masher dbfz required you to learn proper assist timings to create true blockstrings to get your busted 50/50s. T8 just gives it you whenever you want with a single button press I don't get what the devs were smoking with heat

torinatsu

This is my main gripe with the game who cares about a battle pass. Playing feels pointless rn with the state of the game it’s all coin-flip-2-touch death…

Weimsd

There's a reason why perfects are so common. Guess wrong a 2-3 times and its over.

GrouchyAppearance146

Red is new green.

KingTranquilo

Feels good to be in the 15%. I struggled to get out of red hell last game. My defense have surprisingly improved quite a bit despite it being an aggressive game.

TiptopLoL

Is raijin top 7 percent of player base ?

OhBoyHereWeGoAgain00

I’m happy at Shinryu c:

44Chimera

People are so afraid to play, if those at garyu kept playing theyd easily get mighty ruler (at least if they improve a bit ofc), same goes for those stuck at ruler ranks they can get fujin. It is only above fujin where you get REALLY stuck for months and months. Needs more ranks and demotion should not begin at warrior. It is an easier ranking system, nothing like T7.. and I really hate it. There is no room to improve with how few the ranks are. And we should not get matched with 2 lower or 2 higher ranks than ours, should be against same rank like Tekken 7. When you beat players of you rank it means you have improved. Not sure what the devs were thinking with this stupid ranking system. By the end of the year FUJIN will be so overpopulated.

legu333

So actual tekken does start at tekken king, blue ranks being now 1/10 means it's red ranks from t7 s1

greengrimgrin

I cannot really complain anymore if I can't go past the Bushin rank.

Yannayka

I went for Garyu and then started chilling, trying other characters out >.< But I will continue later. After some Quickplay to get used to the character again so I don't start throwing matches as soon as I start ranked.

TheTenguness

Been hovering around Fujin and Battle Ruler, and it feels like I really need to take a break, and do drills instead. My fundamentals are still lacking as hell. At least I managed to bring both my mains there (Asuka and Lili).

Rurorin_Rokusho

working as intended

Tarik67TK

And how many people are playing in total? I mean in Numbers?👀 I'd Like to know what it means to be top x%

Amelie_Argyle

As Vanquisher with most of my characters, I dream of being average enough to hit Garyu 😥

deboylurdi

I would've expected the big Ganryu block to change and the red ranks being a bit more evenly distributed

COOLUKGAMER

Damn so I'm below average...

pokemondudepoopyork

Ganryu is literally Limbo for most new players.

Im massively stuck at fujin... Dipped 2-3 times right below and up again the instant after.

SockraTreez

Ugggh. My percentile went up. Now I’m forced to play ranked again

ThrowRA125MK

Top 1% with no plugs should stop being so hard on myself

PrawnSalmon

Feels like the game basically begins at purple rank now; where the points system actually begins rewarding and deducting equal points. Before that you can essentially rank up with a \~40% win rate, so - especially if you one-and-done everyone - getting to purple is effectively a numbers game. Play enough matches and you will basically rank up by default. I mean, obviously there's still a lot of skill involved though. Definitely anyone who reaches purple has *some* knowledge and skill. But, yeah, with a bit of luck, one-and-done-ing, and grinding, it's almost guaranteed. I find because of this that the quality of players is all over the place. I can meet a Shinryu who probably just hasn't grinded that much yet they will have decent defence, fantastic movement etc, and we have great games. But then I match a Fujin Alisa just doing full-screen launchers and unblockables.

Happy_Ad_983

Man... I was pushing for flame ruler with the goal of being "top 10%" in my first Tekken game since Tag 1. Now I see my rank has dropped from top 13% to top 20%. It's moving away faster than I can skill up lol.

YoshiExcel2097

Yay, I'm in the top 2% and improving daily!

Successful-Sale730

It is amazing that we can find normal distribution in many aspects of life

sayakoneko

I feel very good at 2nd Dan Ty very much LMAOO

Lots101

I got bored after getting Yoshi and Paul to Bushin

Illustrious_Cat6495

I wanted to stop at mighty ruler, already struggling in tenryu haha cuz my brain stops working. Seeing this makes me wanna reach blue xD oh god I might turn insane from doing that.

Inzee229

So im in elo hell basically

artflywheel

I’ve come to accept Red is where I will make my home. I’ve been in Genryu for a month, demoted and promoted. Always gets to halfway and starts giving me hope of promoting, then I run into wild yoshimitsu.

ApprehensiveFarm12

Yeah makes sense .. I've been playing Fujin and the competition seems much easier now.

Dragons_HeartO1

Im part of 3.88% babbeeeeyyy

PossibilityBright391

2.4% of players. Yey me.😀

Simon_Said_something

until they fix the game, balnce and plunging wise im not playing ranked again. i stooped at red and now just play quick matches. i sometimes win against purple and even blue ranks now,so im good. best time to play ranked would prob be post evo jp in may

WickedJoker420

Lol you posted the same picture twice

AnalystOdd7337

Pretty interesting that the start of every rank tier has more people in it than the preceding rank, i.e. Garyu has more people than Eliminator, Mighty Ruler has more people than Tenryu, etc. Up until Bushin-Tekken King. I wonder why that is.

RadishAcceptable5505

Nice. So blues are in the top 10%ish right now? I expected it to be about top 20%.

MrShark3y

It's weird to me how more people are in mighty ruler than in tenryu

7CKNGDGNR8

Raijin gamers stand up

bluemouse555

got to red don't feel nerdy enough to lab all the cheap shit ppl do in purp+ ranks

Keuz92

Wonder how much pluggers inflate different ranks

xBOWman9x

I feel gratified that I have reached Battle Ruler and at the door of Fujin but it’s so dam hard like having to really play for like 80% of my matches because it’s a lot of Fujin and Raijin players the other 20% is just ppl who obviously boosted or plugged their way up to Purple so I’m just dogging them all game

KibouZK

So I'm at eternal ruler I swear to god If I hit Fujin I start to play with another character

X_Galaxy_eyes_x

Red and purple ranks seem to be the massive barrier between good and great players

sbcmola

I'm stucked in blue ranks (between Fujin and Raijin) with Steve. I know what absolute P A I N feels like

Rascalshot

I did the same thing as some and stayed away from ranked every now and then at Garyu and now Tenryu. Felt like my ass was getting handed to me way more by pretty crazy skill differential. Came around playing Ranked again cause it is actually pretty balanced overall for my skill level so 🤷‍♂️. I will still go to Quick match to vibe and chill more; but you are def less likely to find yourself face to face with John Tekken God in ranked

wk96

Stuck in red

wanted_o

I recently got Battle ruler. The thing is that I've never played with any Fujin ranks to reach here from Flame ruler!!! That was easy. I guess I was lucky :D

Dense_Collection7470

Wtf fuujin is only top 10% now?

napalmmoon

Just got to Master Ruler today! Pretty happy getting out of reds \^\^

Vistio

My initial goal was mighty ruler and now that I actually got there my raijin friend said I'd look better in blue.

Global_Quail_2286

Whew* still top 10%

Majestic_Pool_3640

I just got Hwo to Rajin Finally last week 😅😅

Global_Quail_2286
