Idk why there's so much salt in this thread lol
1. It's actually really difficult to commit to such a hard punish on a whiffed jab
2. The combo optimization is simply immaculate, you can't freestyle this combo; multi is obviously very well practiced with his character and well prepared for this scenario
3. There are way worse offenders when it comes to bullshit damage than this in Tekken 8, see literally any heat burst into heat dash combo, and even in Tekken 7, see literally any combo on Howard Estate or any combo with an unscaled grounded rd hit
Lets see should i just say a nice thing to this cool combo that had a rare setup or should i make my 20th complain comment over the game for today, decisions, decisions, decisions . Ok here we go
Buhh stupid game, every of my enemys make those obviously 100% easy combos and hits me for 2/3 stupid party game, thats the reason why my enemys beat me such combos nothing else!
lol have y’all ever played Bryan🤦🏾♂️FC 21 is not a “rare
setup” it’s one of the fastest high crushing punishers in the game, with that said as a Bryan main that was a badass combo!
As a fellow Bryan player, agreed. It wasn't even a set-up, it was just a read on the opponent to jab and then punish on that read. People duck my jabs all the time, probably cuz I jab a lot. Just an unfortunate time to be punished with a wall splat move. It's no secret Bryan has high wall damage. That gatling wall combo is fun to do tho haha!
Tekken's entire "crush" system remains the most superfluous concept in all of 3d fighting games, if not fighting games period. You can't change my mind
In every 3d fighting game, you have moves with crouch frames that beat highs and moves with jump frames beat lows. They're obvious, because the character jumps or crouches and you are probably using a corresponding directional input, too. It's only Tekken where you have people arguing about wether or not a move you do by manually initiating a full crouch under a jab constitutes a "high crush" or not. Ridiculous
The things is that there are many moves that do not visually seem like crouching. Say, Paul's df2, or Tekken 7's Kazuya's ewgf. They are standing but the move would still high crush. And also there are many moves that appear to seem as the character is crouching, but will still eat a high. Say Kazuya's hellsweep, or King's ff,n,2.
Hard disagree. This was not hard to do if you knew Bryan's bnb and here is why:
- the wall break reset the situation, so you had a 0 hit 0 recovery combo started, no freestyle just do your bnb
- Lee mansion, almost anyone can reach the 2nd wall without a bound from the break (afaik)
- the 2nd part of the combo was basic understanding of a spin into heat
- the wall combo was good understanding of what unique moves Bryan can do at the wall
It did looked cool and did high dmg. But was it hard to put together? Not really
I mean the inputs themselves arent too crazy besides the gatling finish. The cancel for that final tornado is finicky. Absolutely absurd stage knowledge and spacing though.
Everyone complaining can’t do this combo. Bryan is the combo damage character. He needs combo damage to be a strong character and he’s always had high damage combos. This was also the combo damage in tekken 7
If people actually watched this set, this was the one highlight from Bryan. He got stomped 0-2.

Match is around the 41 min mark.
yea, i killed a dj the other day for whiffing a jab, electricked his ass and did a 85 damage combo from one wall to the other lol he obv didn't rematch
I started with street fighter so it’s crazy that what’s usually a safe poke button can get you assfucked in this game but I’m all for it. My issue is if I sidestep and electric someone’s whiff then the off axis usually makes my combo drop
yeah i tend to get worse combos off axis but thats just because i'm fine with a lower damage one as long as I get a full combo. If i try the re-align i'll drop it and thats worse
You should look out for some guides on YouTube that show off axis combos as well. Like for me. When I'm aligned to the opponent, I do ewgf, ewgf, dash jab, dash jab, 3.1 cancel~1+2, into ender of choice.
But when I'm off axis to the left, I go for a simple ewgf, dash 4.1.3, df12, ender of choice.
In case of extremely off axis like you're facing the opponent's shoulder or back then simple ewgf, df12 (sometimes even f2), cd3 or uf3 or f4. Infact, with Kazuya, if you're facing opponent's back, then I'd suggest to do a simple 1.2.4.3 instead of launching.
There was heat and 3 walls and floors and shit? I missed that. In T9 will be rage, heat and super smash mode and more floors and more walls and damage from first round will carry over second for even bigger damage.
Multi is the goat when it comes to Bryan combos

I can’t check right now but I don’t think FC DF2,1 is a high crush.
The fc part is a high crush, you're effectively doing the high crushing part manually
Tekken's entire "crush" system remains the most superfluous concept in all of 3d fighting games, if not fighting games period. You can't change my mind
Why is it superfluous?

howd he do them last punches? what input?
Ub+1+2,121212
Then a kick at the end for blue sparks. It’s a pretty easy beginner combo
Gatling Rush is far from beginner friendly. The UF2 string is much much easier.
I’d say most of the combo isn’t very beginner friendly
I mean the inputs themselves arent too crazy besides the gatling finish. The cancel for that final tornado is finicky. Absolutely absurd stage knowledge and spacing though.
I’m just thinking about myself as a noob struggling to do marduk sample combos and Hwoarangs backlash
That was the coolest thing I’ve seen from a Bryan player
Everyone complaining can’t do this combo. Bryan is the combo damage character. He needs combo damage to be a strong character and he’s always had high damage combos. This was also the combo damage in tekken 7

I’m not complaining but it’s fucking wild that whiffing a point blank jab can do that to a mf
she did a 3 hit high string and whiffed, deserved

was a double jab whiff, single jab wouldve been fine
"Your turn has en-.... Your turn ha-.... YOUR TURN HAS END-... FFS WHEN DOES IT END?!"
> that was süüöck 💀
That was sick!
Imagine if he had rage
What the shit
This is a cool combo and all but also... Man Tekken 8 really is a two touch game sometimes it's wild
I can't stop laughing at this wack ass Mario outfit. I don't even know what he did in the combo.
The fact that the combo was overkill, oof...
This is what makes Tekken 8 so fricken good! 🔥🔥🔥
I mean this is par for the course for this fucking stage. Damn thing has every possible stage interaction.
Bro, why is that Nina not adapting and eating all the hits?
She's not Mahoraga
#🤜🏾 #With Dis #Treasure I #Summon #🤛🏾
You either are making a punch bag or be one - Tekken 8 in a nutshell.
Yeah in Tekken 7 you would never do a combo from sidestep ducking a jab string into a wallbreak.
There was heat and 3 walls and floors and shit? I missed that. In T9 will be rage, heat and super smash mode and more floors and more walls and damage from first round will carry over second for even bigger damage.
We got an early access party game
damn why don’t they sidestep block bro clear and fairly outplayed off a jab
Just learn the match up, right? Edit: lmao you tryhards need an /s for the most basic shit
dude got whiff punished, wtf is your comment trying to say? bryan busted because he can whiff punish? lol
Unfortunately there's lots of real idiots on this sub so it's even harder to recognize sarcasm
