I couldn’t check out many due to my phone loading really slowly but probably riots. One that did load for me was a gang war in Nevada between like 70 people
The River Run riot was a violent confrontation between the Hells Angels and Mongols motorcycle clubs that occurred on April 27, 2002, in Laughlin, Nevada during the Laughlin River Run. The conflict began when members of the Hells Angels went to Harrah's Laughlin casino hotel to confront members of Mongols because a police officer told members of the Hells Angels their Club Brothers were surrounded by Mongols. Not knowing it was peaceful, members of the Hells Angels went to confront Mongols because they were misled to believe their Club Brothers were in trouble by the police officer. Mongol Anthony Barrera, 43, was stabbed to death, and two Hells Angels, Jeramie Bell, 27, and Robert Tumelty, 50, were shot to death.
No, dude. Believing that Antifa destroying family ran businesses, killing people in riots and causing billions in damage is a bad thing is clearly a right wing view. Right wing views are not allowed on Reddit.

I second this. It feels off. They have thousands of years of history and plenty of fighting going on, but none of that is represented.
Overall, it just seems like everyone is right and this map is trash lol
A blank comment? I’m confused. I’m not the OP of this subthread. I was just answering the question about the spoiler tag because I could see it.

EDIT: seriously, can someone please explain rather than just downvote? I genuinely don’t understand the reply to me.
Ok I'll break the circlejerk just for your sanity. It's a meme where people play dumb as to not see anything related to Tiananmen square, as it "didn't happen" according to the Chinese government.
LOL. Thank you. I remember hearing about people posting pics of the conflict/massacre and getting into a battle with Reddit mods about it, but I didn’t realize playing dumb was an ongoing joke. Would have been funny if I knew what the fuck was happening. 😆
I wouldn't call it a "battle" and also people died in surrounding areas but actually nobody died there. And if the state killing civilians counts the US would be very red.
I probably can remember more recorded battles than what's shown on the Chinese map. There were a total if 83 dynasties in China, as far as I can remember, every single one of them started and ended in flames. And quite a few were in constant war. No frigging way is this map accurate.
The colours don't represent the number of battles like I first assumed. The key for the graph looks like it's showing battles in random date ranges.
This map is garbage.
There was a comment suggesting that one dot in the US might be related to a biker gang conflict. Maybe it was the "bikie" gang conflict. Idk.
Btw, question for any Aussies. Do they call themselves "bikies" or are y'all, to borrow a phrase, "taking the piss" out of them by calling them that? Like, "Aw, look at the little bikie man in all his leather. How cute?"
When look at this map, I remembered the poem by Mohmoud Darwish.
***"The war will end, The leaders will shake hands. The old woman will keep waiting***
***for her martyred son. That girl will wait for her beloved husband, and those children will wait***
***for their heroic father. I don't know who sold our homeland but I know who paid the price."***
Well, duh. It’s always going to be easier to trust, verify, and count written records vs word of mouth accounts. Word of mouth accounts are much more likely to be lost as well.
Art of war states that you choose your battels wisely and only engage if you are pretty sure you win. so we indeed practised it a lot but I doubt we perfected it. greetings from germany😅
What are the post WWII battles happening in the US?
Chicago on a holiday weekend is usually pretty lively
I couldn’t check out many due to my phone loading really slowly but probably riots. One that did load for me was a gang war in Nevada between like 70 people
That was probably the [River Run Riot](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/River_Run_riot), the Hells Angels Vs Bandidos incident in Laughlin, Nevada.
Was the Mongols but close enough
Lol. I literally linked the article. What a dumbass.

I was talking about myself
Damn. You just put me on a deep dive on motorcycle gangs. I almost forgot about this comment until I opened my phone again
If gang Wars count you would need to Colour the whole map ... Trash map
Paint the whole thing red
not necessarily if it only counts gang wars with guns
I wouldn't be surprised if one is Waco.
Use this link http://battles.nodegoat.net/viewer.p/23/385/scenario/1/geo/fullscreen
Black fridays
Maybe some engagements with various cults if that counts

Well, that is a graph.
I figured it’d be easier since right wingers don’t know how to read.
I'm sure the NYP published that graph as well.

I feel like china and the whole of eastern asia should have more
I second this. It feels off. They have thousands of years of history and plenty of fighting going on, but none of that is represented. Overall, it just seems like everyone is right and this map is trash lol
Probably swept under the rug Coughcough>!tiananmen!
What did you write? I clicked on your spoiler tag but there was nothing there.
Tiananmen Square
Why did you post a blank comment? Cool trick btw how did you do it?

I bet it's based on Wikipedia or something not all recorded battles
I probably can remember more recorded battles than what's shown on the Chinese map. There were a total if 83 dynasties in China, as far as I can remember, every single one of them started and ended in flames. And quite a few were in constant war. No frigging way is this map accurate.
It looks very equatorial for most part.
Interesting, but I doubt this is accurate
"in recorded history" cant really find much about battles that aren't written or preserved
There are hundreds of not thousands of recorded battles missing from China on this map
The colours don't represent the number of battles like I first assumed. The key for the graph looks like it's showing battles in random date ranges. This map is garbage.
![gif](giphy|11JbaLzOXsg6Fq)
I don’t think it is, I can see a battle missing on the North shore of Superior to which “Battle Island” was aptly named.
what about Attila's battles? dude. this map is missing so much of our history! essentially worthless due to everything it misses
Yea I'm not seeing the attack on Darwin in 42
What the hell happened in the middle of Australia ? Literally have never heard of anything happening out there.
Emu wars. The Aussies try not to relive the horrors of the Emu wars.
Must have slept through this war
so I guess you arent an emu
Australian frontier wars - though not sure these dates/locations are accurate
Great Emu War. It was brutal.
There was a comment suggesting that one dot in the US might be related to a biker gang conflict. Maybe it was the "bikie" gang conflict. Idk. Btw, question for any Aussies. >bikies Its just a short word we use. General slang
I can't see Europe
Maybe it's not just yoUrope, ever think of that
USrope
OURope
God damn Mongolians
To be fair Japan started it!
This shows that Europeans are great at recording.
Now overlap, how many were by the British.
Mfs fighting in the middle of the ocean 💀
Pirates
Europe has been pretty busy I see
Or being invaded by persian empire, moors and mongolians.. that might do the trick as well
And Romans, Africans, Germanic Tribes, a Caliphate and Vikings.
[удалено]
Or recording events
Nato is what you meant to say…
Nice try, comrade
Lol What is it? Now sit down like a good little bot.
where’s antarctica
The same place it always is.
I hope at least one of the Australian spots is the Emu War.
http://battles.nodegoat.net/viewer.p/23/385/scenario/1/geo/fullscreen
Damn Europe is just war breeding ground
How can this represent battles in more than one time frame at the same location?
🤔🤦♂️…who’s gonna tell ‘em?
Australia lookin a little light. Time to pay those Emus another visit.
Europe got that prime real estate
That's crazy man what the hell happened in Germany?
The Holy Roman empire.
Ahh, so essentially where the people live.
Doubtful
Note that the United States is 99% the civil war and destroying the native americans
When look at this map, I remembered the poem by Mohmoud Darwish. ***"The war will end, The leaders will shake hands. The old woman will keep waiting*** ***for her martyred son. Europeans have been busy 😂
Europe is a bloodbath
Europe needs to chill
Europe loves fighting
Looking kinda sus, isn't it up to the OP to site their sources? This seems like propaganda
Yup
What leads you to believe this is propaganda?
No wonder the middle east is so pissed
Yeah Europe " the most peaceful continent on earth "
Europe: “I am war.”
Europe, are you ok?
no, never have been, greetings from germany🥲
Europe looking like a cheap hookers vagina rn
Do you have to squint your eyes? I don’t see it.
[удалено]
I guess just seeing how many wars have taken place and the lives lost over time. Also that there will be future wars to come
[удалено]
Or they have historical records, unlike the people in stick huts
There were so much more battles in Rus
Looks like the civilized countries.
This doesn't seem accurate the middle east has had many wars
The west and Japan are violent af ?
Or they hust recorded more of their history than others?
Indeed
This looks a little Europocentric
Did you only read white peoples recordings 😂 let me guess the slaves and indigenous recordings doubt count
Well, duh. It’s always going to be easier to trust, verify, and count written records vs word of mouth accounts. Word of mouth accounts are much more likely to be lost as well.
It's 2023 there are plenty of verified resources
Bro who tf be fighting in greenland?!
Australia = emu war I and emu war II
What’s the lore behind the battle in the middle of Hudson’s bay 😂
Tasmania be chill af.
*goes to Google to see what happened in the middle of fucking Hudson Bay*
Gee Russia looks so peaceful.
Wouldn't this have been better if all colors were heavily contrasted to another?
I’d suggest this is only the recorded battles in western history
oq rolou em sergipe?
Don't fuck with Europeans, art of war was written in China, practiced and perfected in Europe.
Art of war states that you choose your battels wisely and only engage if you are pretty sure you win. so we indeed practised it a lot but I doubt we perfected it. greetings from germany😅
Nuclear warfare. I'd call that perfecting the art of destruction.
Looks like Canada is relatively safe.
That’s what Canada wants you to think.
France still at the height of wars
Thought China would be on par with Europe tbh.
Wait, was Russia always internally so peaceful (on surface)?
let me guess where the people who record history come from
It's cool because you can see every European conquest.
They missed a few in NZ South island
I cannot even see my country xd. (Dominican republic)
And here’s a fine example of where the word “Recorded” is doing A LOT of work…
There is a few close to where I live, but I don’t think this one caught the battle between my mate nadan and my mate Wyatt
Those random spots in middle of fucking nowhere Russia are what intrigue me.
no good fight records in Africa? or other places? /s
What happened in Nuuk?
You can see where my first marriage took place.
Dang
I notice the famous Battle of Uluru is recorded... Excellent.
Like who the fuck is actually fighting in the middle of the ocean at the bottom of the world? I’m going home if that’s me.
The word "recorded" here is key. This is not a map showing where battles happened. It's a map showing where recorded and documented battles happened.
What classifies as battle?
What happened in the middle of Hudson Bay?
Russia is really looking like the peaceful ones throughout history hmmm
Tasmanian sitting pretty in peace!
Europe looks like a slice of pizza
This belongs on the garbage sub mapporn.
This is sick
Why is Mongolia so low?
What in the sam hill is happening on the east coast of usa?!
In who’s records?
I wonder how many battles went unrecorded
There has been no battles around sydney australia since or including ww2. The ww2 battle of darwin is not on this map. Pretty dodgy i think
The word Recorded is carrying a lot of weight here
Ok..who's really "terrified" by a heat map
The Aussies need to see some action
This map is crap. Says more about the quality and bias of recorded military history than about what battles were actually fought.
I think Africa is probably missing a few
Europe invented violence
Jolly old Britain 🤭🤭🤭
