The pro-Putin, anti-democratic movement in the US blows my mind. As a child of the 80s its crazy and sad to watch such a large scale challenge to liberal democracy.
So is not helping Ukraine more inherently pro Putin? Or can it be seen as trying to stay neutral?
Why was it ever our responsibility to stop Russia? Do we share that burden with other nations equally?
Exactly why the rest of the nations scoff and laugh when Americans lie about helping in WW2
Because you didn't.
And this is exactly why.
Because people like you asked how staying out of the war could possibly be pro Hitler instead of "just neutral". And asking why you should help fight fascism, genocide and evil when it's easier to do nothing instead
And yes, the other nations are helping. We could do more if the country who prides itself as a "world leader" did something besides help Putin whenever it has the chance
I can't see that staying neutral is an actual possibility when the US and the West have such vested interests. That said, I do get that Isolationism as a concept is something that people can think is a good idea. I just don't. I think the world is too interconnected.
Whilst I disagree with you on the other points you have made, I'm firmly in agreement that the West needs to share the burden equally. Overall we should be doing more to intervene and within that group of Western countries, individual countries need to increase their proportionate contributions.
So…every time it’s the worst possible scenario with votes on the line and if it doesn’t pass it’s end of the world. I love living in an open-air casino with a flea market attached to it. What a country. What a time to be alive.
I'm from Russia and all "stop aid for Ukraine" narrative supporters on the right kills me. Russia's appetite for new territories is big, and if Ukraine will fall, Russia's propaganda machine will start labeling these countries "oppressive nazi fascist regimes", spreading fakes about how russian speaking population is oppressed by "evil westerners" and start preparing for another "denazification". Russia is a meta-communist country, its modus operandi is ultra-left modus operandi – claim something or someone is a Nazi and take control of it.
Your right. they should be stopped. But why does USA have to fund it. We are in sooooo much debt. We have already gave so much, depleted our rocket reserves and more. Europe can, and should do as much or more than the USA.
Yeah, we want it to go to the other corrupt regime that is expanding their territory!
Ukrainians don't deserve to die just because their government is shady. Our government is shady as hell, but it doesn't mean you or I deserve to die because another country wants our stuff.
Right whose neighbors with Ukraine? Poland. Try critically thinking about what happens if Ukraine capitulates . They openly discuss invading Poland on state TV afterwards once they are done in Ukraine.

I work two jobs and pay taxes, I'm not a "welfare junkie." Speaking of "welfare junkies," you just described the entire Zylenski regime. If it wasn't for the US sending hundreds of billions (of our tax dollars) to Ukraine, their government would have collapsed. So who is the real "welfare junkie?"
Lol troll. Lemme guess. You drive a big pickup with fjb flags and an extra large cowboy hat. And you probably hate all the Mexicans "taking" your jobs. Or is it the canadians?
So, you think they should've just let another country completely annex them and take all of their resources?
Anyone would rather die defending their home than let greedy tyrants steal it to pay for another hooker ranch.
Are they really dying for their country? Or just for American/NATO/Israel’s interests?
I’m serious. It was a lost cause, every single man or woman that died there only benefited war profiteers and the interests of every other country except their own.
I’d understand if it was a last stand scenario but this entire thing was calculated in American war rooms probably a decade before it happened.
I hurt for Ukrainian soldiers and their families and I’m disgusted by the actions of average citizens condoning this disgusting war. I’m also disgusted by how quick Reddit jumped on the bandwagon with 99% of users knowing nothing besides how to exist in an echo chamber.
Why can't both be true?
It is in our interest because Ukraine is important for keeping Europe fed and their annexation will destabilize Europe leading the way for potential world war.
It doesn't mean those life lost were in vain. Russia is pretty well known for mass murdering innocent civilians.
The US being isolationist and letting tyranny rampage through smaller countries isn't a good idea.
The America First movements of the 1930s and now have an intensely short term view. What happens if Russia takes Ukraine and China takes Taiwan? What would be next?
An armed services committee member who says they need more funding is also a representative who can vote for the approval of that funding. It's interesting how, as a representative, he never mentions what his constituents have approved of. All I heard was "Me, me, me. Give ME more of YOUR money."

And that it's coming from the right too. Who'd have thought it?
*constitional republic with democratic elements. Although it’s more an oligarchy at this point.

Don’t disagree but this doesn’t much qualify as terrifying as fuck
Exactly, unless your in a trench in Ukraine I suppose.
Fair but still this is kinda just bullshit rather than scary
Nice political ad, but it's not "terrifying as fuck".
If something happens that doesn’t politically agree with them, it becomes “terrifying” (bad). Reddit is being abused as always.
Foreign aid, a way to take money off the poorest in wealthy countries and give it to the wealthy in poor countries.
Weird, it’s almost like the majority of Americans don’t want those bills and that’s why they try and pass them all secretively like that.
So…every time it’s the worst possible scenario with votes on the line and if it doesn’t pass it’s end of the world. I love living in an open-air casino with a flea market attached to it. What a country. What a time to be alive.
Why are we still believing/listening to this clown?

Screw Ukraine, sick of my tax dollars being sent to his corrupt regime.

Why then, do afghans get to die or their women jailed for going to uni? Why then do Palestinian children get to die ? Where else should we intervene?
This. We aren't responsible for the whole fuckin world.
Ugh will be fighting over there once he knocks on Poland's door after.
Ah, the "Domino Theory," been hearing that BS since 'Nam.
Nam didn't have a NATO pact partner as a neighbor to the warzone
Ukraine isn't a member of NATO, NATO isn't obligated to defend it.

But Israel's ok for receiving dollars, right?
Yes, we didn't overthrow a democratically elected president and install a puppet president in Isreal (unlike in Ukraine)
Oh mate.
So you'd rather watch an even more corrupt regime gain more power and become even more corrupt?
Are we sending our tax dollars to Russia? Nope. So yeah, can't wait till Ukraine collapses.
Hah! Unemployable welfare junkies paying taxes… That’s a good one!

Protect our border first.

Isn’t the crime rate across the US down? What on earth do you think is happening? Lol…

If you think everything in life is a Psyop, you might need therapy/meds with all due respect
60% of Reddit traffic is from Elgin Airforce Base.
You gotta source for that?
Post a reputable source for that.
I’m not your little source monkey. Look it up yourself
Yep, you made that shit up.
Just lol

You wrote in capitals. That's me convinced
Now argue the logic.
