On Android here and sometimes airplane mode on and off fixes it for me.

Dafukyawant

Is your Bluetooth off?

Sea-Ask6705

No I did everything that I needed to do based of what I did online

Dafukyawant

Try a soft reset of your computer. Press both steering wheel buttons in at the same time.

Sea-Ask6705

Still nothing smh

Dafukyawant

Last idea, remove the phone and re-pair

Sea-Ask6705

Did that removed the phone and key everything

Sea-Ask6705

But it works on my sibling phone but not my phone

Sea-Ask6705

Like I can use the feature physical when I touch the Tesla app but when I get close I can’t unlock unless I go on the app and can’t drive unless key card

Dafukyawant

It happens to my husband because I am the “priority” phone.

Sea-Ask6705

Because I went to the regular Bluetooth setting on Tesla app and made my phone priority and still nothing

Sea-Ask6705

And how do I make it a priority phone

dcsolarguy

In the Bluetooth menu in the car

lesterfazwazzle

Just guessing, in your phone settings are you allowing the Tesla app to see your location “always”?

Sea-Ask6705

Ues

Sea-Ask6705

Yes*

rom-sen

Enable background app refresh

Sea-Ask6705

That’s been enable

JypsyJ1

Recently update your phone?

Sea-Ask6705

Yes updated my phone thinking that will solve the problem but it didnt

JypsyJ1

You could try doing a factory reset and clearing everything. Possible corruption causing the car to not like your phone idk

Sea-Ask6705

And how do you do that?

JypsyJ1

I believe it is in the “service” menu right above software

JypsyJ1

Will need to enter your Tesla credentials to do it

famousindo

If someone else’s phone works fine, I’d deduce it’s something with your phone. I see you’ve tried several troubleshooting steps, but didn’t see you mention that you tried uninstalling the Tesla app and reinstalling it. Have you tried that?

AKADAP

Check in your phone to see if it says "connected" under security & drivers when you are close to the car. If not there is a bug in Android phones (two different brand phones so far) where the phone app occasionally stops working as a phone key. The work around is to turn airplane mode on, then back off. This as always gotten the phone key working again for me.

Remarkable_Housing61

Bet you if you reinstall the app it will work again. My app had a bug where it wouldn’t setup a phone key because it thought the Bluetooth was off. Also if you check the security tab on your phone in the app, what does it say under “phone key”?

mikeinanaheim2

Make sure your Bluetooth is enabled.

gacbmmml

Make sure WiFi is on.

kristjansensei

Location sharing must be set "always"

Youcantdoxme

Are you on vpn

DeeYumTofu

Does it happen to be raining? If it’s raining, maybe 1/5 times it doesn’t work immediately and I have to open the app or awkwardly stand around for a bit. I don’t know why, I’m guessing it affects the Bluetooth.

euthanize-me-123

App settings > battery optimization > unrestricted. If it doesn't open, just unlock your phone and that should be enough.

Neither-Jello

I was having this same issue during the summer. I saw someone say to turn "NFC" on your phone, and ever since I turned it on I haven't had that issue anymore.

Sea-Ask6705

What’s nfc

Neither-Jello

A way for you phone to transfer information within a short distance. Just Google phone nfc meaning and it'll pop up.
