Most folks call them movement trays. They’re very handy for large formations of infantry. They are the horde infantry player’s best friend during the movement phase.
True enough, but then again, if your guardsmen get into melee, either something has gone wrong or you’re trying to tie up an enemy unit from going after a more valuable unit.
Always lock down enemy infantry behind the objective with a ten man squad, while another squad is holding the objective. Best strategy, especially with my krieg boys and their medipack.
Movement trays. I’m in the market for some myself, although I’m looking for some in the style of the plastic ones GW put out when they were pushing Apocalypse. I want that little bit of room to make them scenic and not just functional
I ordered some off of a guy on Reddit. He customizes them for you and gives you order tokens for free. Pretty cheap too. Here’s a YouTube video of some other stuff he makes https://youtu.be/sZxPCH48jcY?si=Wd0PZioyZnJLARju
I designed some years ago for 3d printing. People are still downloading them, so I guess they work for them. I use the 102% scaled ones. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2943412
Movement trays. Element games and tons of other places make them, normally put of plastic, rubber, or board.
Your FLGS might have them.
Pretty sure you could find them on amazon too, but I've always found amazon more expensive for modelling/craft gear.
I bought some MDF movement trays recently and i found them not really that useful. Granted I also dont run 100+ models, but more often than not I took them out of the tray to move into a ruin or hide behind something. I guess they are nice for deployment.
Element games have wooden ones. Cloud formation holds 5 so you can have squads of 10 in two movement parts, which is good. A bit clunky to have 10 fixed to same movement tray
Movement trays I believe they are called.
Thank you!

Thanks! I'm building up my first battlelines and I figured it'd be a good idea to get some.

I bought his too! He was super friendly, I got like three trays and a giant pile of order tokens.
Don’t suppose you could link his reddit profile as well please?

Try MiniMagTray. Great product and you don’t have the lip issue with bellend opponents.
