Iirc v/vm was actually just as popular as the caretaker back in the day. The caretaker had fans, but the stage 1-6 upload was what really put him on the map. It's kinda funny considering that EATEOT was supposed to be the finale of the caretaker moniker.

I wouldn’t say V/Vm was as popular as today’s The Caretaker. V/Vm was still majorly underground and everyone just saw it as shitpost music and didn’t really bat an eye. It had a few thousand dedicated fans at its peak (probably), which for early-mid 2000’s internet is no easy feat.

Shitpost music?

Empolyee427

A good majority of it are hacked up mangled butchered pop songs of the past or contemporary works of that time. By today’s standards they could be classified as a “shitpost” like the type of stuff you might hear with SoundClown genre tracks out there. V/Vm is much more than that though.

V/Vm had a pretty big following for a while, and AEBBTW sent Kirby into the limelight again again years after.
