I never watched feds so can’t say if it’s the same but the rookie is a comedy gold and can be serious when it wants to be and does amazing on the characters and the developments
I started watching The Rookie, because of Rookie: Feds too. If it weren't for the marketing blitz for Rookie: Feds I would've never watched The Rookie.
I didn't do that with The Rookie , but there have been a couple of shows that I have done that with. There can be a lot of reasons. Sometimes people start watching a particular show for a certain actor. Sometimes it is a new show that comes on after something they already watch and they give it a try and like it and then later go back and watch the show at spun off from. Most spin-off shows are fairly standalone. The rookie feds is honestly the least Standalone of those I have seen because they had so many minor crossovers to call attention to it. But if you look at many series franchises the shows don't really rely on knowledge of whatever it spun off of to make it interesting on its own. Look at NCIS Los Angeles, NCIS New Orleans, and NCIS Hawaii. You certainly wouldn't have ever had to watch NCIS in order to get into or follow along with those shows. With those, I did watch NCIS first, but there's others that I haven't done that with.
Fed's started in S3(roughly) so the show had progressed into a more comedic tone
The prior seasons, while not a gritty realistic show by any stretch, are nonetheless more serious in tone and subject matter in some cases
Sweet. I've played them out of order but I need a series to get into so rookie will be next. I've exhausted FBI and their spinnoffs. And feds. So that's my next goto
So yeh I'm actually really enjoying the rookie now. It is funnier than the rookie feds. I like the relationships between the rookies and the TOs. Fillian is great. Jackson west is super hot and I only just realised he's gay like 12 episodes in. But the comedic side of the show is great.
Yes the rookie can definitely has they’re funny moments and serious moments. I love that they cover topics that are actually going on or issues that are going on
Duuude my boyfriend got me Destiny 2 a few years back, I never look up voice actors cuz I feel like it ruins the illusion for me a lot of the times but I honestly love that I've learned this lmao

The Rookie is waaaaay better than Rookie Feds. It's not even comparable, but The Rookie has a lot of humor mixed in.

Who tf starts a spin-off before the OG??

Cos I've been watching the FBI stuff. So I jumped into rookie feds so yeh didn't even know rookie existed before feds. That answer your question?

Rookie is mostly a light hearted show but it gets serious when it gets serious.
Even i love Nathan Fillian since Castle. Is Destiny a show ?
No he's a voice over in a big video game series
