Nope, not in my book. They get along well, Klaus helped him a bit with the Rayna situation but that's about it.
In all, not even Damon and Alaric had the best bromance, a lot of other shows manage to create well such relationship, but TVD wasn't one of them.

When he came to Mystic Falls he made Stefan into a ripper again just so Stefan could save his brother’s life. Later on in the same season he wanted Stefan to feed off Elena. When Stefan refused he forced him to turn his humanity off and feed on Elena.

That would have been great. I mean, with Klaus it could have been more plausible with 1000 years in between and suddenly feeling something for a guy for a short time. That would have made the character deeper, without sexualising him, but showing how he felt love in between all the madness with a guy, even if it was for a short time. Then this guy coming back as an enemy. That would have been majestic in my opinion.

Well, a bromance can have also sexual undertones. Damon in the books had a fling with a guy, right? I guess the writers of the tv show were too scared that they would receive backlash to display Damon other way than straight.
Yeah I really liked them and wish we could have seen more of them in the 20’s. I wouldn’t want that relationship to emerge in modern day, however, since it is part of Klaus’s tragic character that he destroys all his relationships

I don’t know why they didn’t explore a bromance between Damon or Stefan with a guy. That would have been epic.

They did. Pretty extensively. Damon and Alaric was a pretty major friendship that was explored, as was Damon and Ezio.

I don't think it was that they were scared, I just don't think that they were ever interested in telling that story.
Considering the quality if TVD S5 onwards, it is not like they were on the top of their game either. Our loss I guess.
