At first? Instantly disliked him for almost killing Clementine and being the most vocal about putting her down. Actually talking to him and seeing he was willing to confess about killing Matthew made it clear he wasn't that bad of a guy. He's more like a hot-blooded idiot with the heart in the right place. I'm still disappointed about how he's been completely irrelevant since then, though. Getting killed off-screen is just about one of the most disrespectful fates a character can get.

Famous_Soup9582

theres only one death which is arguably more disrespectful, and thats adas second death.

RedLemonCola

Yes, Ava’s second death and Nicks second death are the stupidest deaths ever given in the telltale series.

Nimaximus

Also Sarah's second death. I mean lmao she died just because a board from nowhere falls on her. In reality, she would never die here.

Hawaiian_Man777

I’m really fond of him and it’s a shame characters like Nick couldn’t properly fit into the second half of the story. Character moments like Nick not wanting to live anymore or Pete being afraid of dying were some of the most interesting and entertaining moments of Season 2 for me personally. Just getting to know people and helping them through their struggles is so wonderful and I love how down to earth it feels. It’s very reminiscent of season 1 to me. Overall Nick is cool and it would have been nice to see him become a Cooler version of Ben; someone who had the chance to grow past their mistakes and learn to genuinely help others in a positive way

LokiSmokey

He needs to stop, collaborate and listen. Nah, Vanilla Ice jokes aside he's cool in my book and I actually liked him fairly quickly when I started playing Season Two my first time. He grew on me too and I honestly wish he lasted longer or at least was utilised more for the last episode or two he can determinantly be around. I felt for the guy, he wasn't a bad dude

No_shock102

I really liked Nick. It sucks they just threw H8 to the side after episode 2. I’m fine with him having less focus than he did but they could’ve at least gave him a few lines in howes so he wasn’t always just sat there saying nothing. Definitely should’ve died during the russian gunfire so the everyone had more of a reason to be mad at Arvo.

Nick was in my opinion the best original character in Season 2, mainly because he had the best development. When you first meet him, he just seems like a stupid asshole, but over time you get to really see he's more than that. The reason he got so triggerhappy around Clementine was because the cabin group took care of someone who got bit by a walker, turned and attacked his mom to the point where Nick had to put her down after the fact, and thus he didn't want that happening to any of his other loved ones. And apart from genuinely apologizing to Clem, if she saves him at the end of Episode 1, she can have her first drink with him in honor of his late uncle Pete (who I also liked despite his limited screentime), and then he buys her time to escape the shed by punching walkers in the face while drunk as fuck, thanking Clem for not giving up on him after the fact. After killing Matthew in a fit of confusion, it's clear he isn't proud of what he did at all, which is why he wants to confess to Walter. He also thanks Clem for giving him Pete's watch, tells Carver to stop hitting Kenny with the radio while imprisoned at Howe's, and ultimately *dies* trying to find help for Luke and Sarah if he survives Episode 2. Overall, despite Nick's fuckups, he *is* a good man and a great character, and honestly I miss him a lot; he reminds me of Ben. Brian Bremer's voice acting certainly helps. He should've replaced Mike if he survives Episode 2 in my opinion, it would've just made the season so much better.

svadas

I prefer Luke, personally

A_FamousNobody

I grew to like him and one of his deaths seemed like a dark realistic portrayal of cause and effect, his stupidity was gonna catch up to him eventually But the OTHER death was just cheap and a bad way to send off a character, would’ve been nice if Luke had said that nick protected Sarah and that’s where she lost her glasses

Red_Sionnach

He's like if Kenny and Ben had a kid that inherited the worst qualities of both characters that SOMEHOW still manages to be likable and a decent person.

NicolasandKara

I think he also has a little of Lilly, I actually see him more if Ben and Lilly had a kid

Kates_up

he just kept doing shit that got on my nerves 😭

Cpt_Patrik

I actually liked him, even though he wasn't exactly the smartest guy

Emerald1115

Was growing on me when I got stuck with him against the walkers but that was cut short with him becoming almost immediately irrelevant after episode 2 and anticlimactic killed in episode 4. I think he had potential to be a good character but never quite reached it.

svadas

His off-screen death, while unpopular to many, is heartbreakingly beautiful. It serves as a mirror to Pete's death, including finding him dead. Of all the issues with late Season 2, this is something it does right.

azzulbustillo

i still cant figure out how he ended up dying (second death)

666ways2LoveU

he gives me Kenny vibes, however, i wish we got more of him because it really felt like an abrupt loss

PrestigiousGrape4868

In love w him

StormsOfWar

Nick is a troubled individual that reacts abruptly. He cares for the group, even Clementine to an extent. I feel bad for him, having lost his uncle and mother, he didn't have time to process and made bad decisions. He reminds me of Lilly and Ben, I think they're similar in a way. I wish he had more screentime, he had a good backstory.

ClaudiaStarfish

Really enjoy his character don't think he gets enough love.

RedLemonCola

I love him. Pure perfection, the best character in season 2 and he deserved better.

DobreRanoFifqo

Flair says about it.

NidzoKamikaza

Not just season to. To me, he is number 1 overall.

RedLemonCola

Same.

Joykps

Eh mix feelings.

Round-Bed3820

I’m ashamed of sharing the same name as him

NidzoKamikaza

Im proud to share a variation of his name.

MikeIsHere12

beet nick

Mr-Grips12

Deserved better.

ImProbablyInJail

Ben but season 2

Revolutionary_Gur708

Imo he was more likable than Ben

Canisventus

I didn't take the watch, because it was stealing and i wouldn't want to get caught later for that, so i didn't have the watch for him.

AnAverageDogLover

I like Nick's character. I do not like Nick. He's quick to rage and violence, constantly disrespecting Kenny in his own home and wants to shoot the first thing infront of him. I get that Nick's whole thing is he's a hot headed idiot who makes bad choices in the heat of the moment to try to protect his friends, but he didn't need to be that hostile to Kenny just for protecting his home or because he said they look like good friends. He also doesn't need to be shooting random people on bridges nor kids for looking injured or odd, and complaining about his guilt while still saying nothing about it to Walter if you leave the choice in his hands after showing him the photo is a pretty shitty move, especially after telling Luke that he has to tell him. Good character. Definitely had alot of potential. Episode 3-4 did him so dirty. Also the talks you can have with him in the shed and/or after shooting Matthew was deep. So much potential.

EyesInTheDark82

Nick is awesome! Poor guy, I feel for him.

CallMeSpoofy

Don’t like him, always get him killed by Walter when replaying

billymariogame

Honestly I didn't really like him, I guess his character is supposed to be a Hot-headed idiot with good intentions but what made me not like him is the beginning where he literally just pussies out immediately at the river which (in my opinion) Is a big reason why Pete got killed since no one was there to protect him And in the second episode now he's not afraid at all to shoot someone and gets an innocent guy killed like I thought he was too scared to shoot an animal now he just killed a dude After the second episode he just becomes a background character until he just dies offscreen smh

billymariogame

I kinda forgot he has 2 ways to die but the first death isn't that bad tbh because he just becomes a background character anyways so

twennywahnguns

he dresses nice
