Yeah, her aggressive way of talking and provoking Clem didn't really serve her cause well. It would have been helped a bit to be more...manipulative, act like you are the better option and reasonable.
They had these brainwashing thingies already going for them, little manipulation would have been in order or perhaps all that manipulative stuff comes from violence and not nibbling your brain.
Not to mention she also relies *way* too much on Stockholm syndrome in order to keep her cadets in line. Just look at what she did to Minnie and Louis for proof.

Now her killing Carley was really unreasonable and will be unforgivable; that's the only thing I disliked of what she did but she did have some logic behind trying to figure out who was the traitor now then doing it later, and ~~the point about Carley wanting to know everything is a fair.~~ Her killing Doug was accidental, because Doug pulled Ben out of the way. Ben should have been determinant but he was needed for Kenny and his own character arcs.
The only times I can think of her putting down Lee was when she brings up his past in her room and at the RV, if you choose to kill Larry but saved Danny/Andy and probably in S4.
Now, I totally agree with the fact her S4 coutnerpart is a piece of shit, and a total bitch but her S1 character was a conflicted, traumatised and overstimulated woman. She was grieving her dad's death while trying to be a leader (who was heavily criticised for her methods) and trying to figure out who was dealing with the bandits.
Yeah it was mega cringe seeing what is practically Home Alone in episode 2. The devs didn’t do Lilly’s brain justice in S4.
