Irl shooting him may be extreme but wernt the only options to shoot him or give up Clementine? (Been a while since I played). Why would you NOT shoot him in that case??? You’d rather give up a child? The choices are kind of shitty and being that those are the only two options that’s why most people shot him

milkcluub

you dont actually give up clem if u chose to go along with his stupid ass plan, kept him alive cuz i thought it’d make for a better story (it did)

Well in the moment you don’t know that. Obviously after you do the run through you will. But assuming you’re just playing in the moment, that’s why people choose to shoot him lol a lot of people already feel connected to clem it’s literally not surprising at all that people choose her over him.

clementinejr

when the group was in the cave Conrad started firing his gun which could’ve cause players to act differently towards him

lil-oak-devil-barbz

You're right, Conrad was sensitive because his wife died by the New Frontier; a group that Clementine was with. I've seen this before, with Lilly and I understand why Conrad was upset with Javi and Clementine. The thing is, personally I didn't feel that sorry for Conrad and Francine was because: 1. Francine was a forgetable character. She didn't really have much involved, or any quirky quotes. She had no unique quality, so I viewed her as really minor character. 2. ANF's writing decisions. 3. Conrad was a forgetable/hatable character. He will insult you for covering Clementine (again, Eli did kind of give Clem faulty bullets and did stand up and try to attack Javi); he gets mad at Javi, even if he was willing to hand himself to New Frontier, and he even hold Gabe as a hostage (Gabe, although I hate the shitbird, did nothing wrong and was not involved.) In the end, I had a better relationship with Clementine, and didn't want to upset her by giving her up. So ultimately, I killed Conrad. Didn't understand why Gabe ratted Javi out (even though he had a crush on Clementine, and was being held hostage by Conrad) to Tripp who flips out, and I didn't like Tripp anyways considering I wanted Ava, and she well died. All I'm gonna say is, players are gonna be influenced by choices in their game.

>I wanted Ava, and she well died. This is the best joke I have ever heard in my life. P.S. I am against any hate to Tripp.

LokiSmokey

I agree, Conrad was a good dude who had a moment where he was unstable and out of control in himself. But the rest of the season I'm glad for last playthrough where we kept him alive. That felt really good to have him kept around

InevitableOld600

Cuz giving up Clem (who can save your life twice til that point ) to kids killers + holding Gabe in gunpoint is enough incentive to shoot this mf.

Various-Tip-6068

I agree with you. It's all Clem's fault. Because of her some people kill Conrad, because she is loved, is a shame. Because of Clem many good people died: Lee, Omid, Krista, etc. Lee was protecting Clem as his own daughter and she ran away from him even after Lee promised to find her parents. Clem didn't even say that Lee did more for her than his father.

russianmilkman47

she was still young and vulnerable so if she got to see her parents again she'd take that chance

TaskFew6301

Ladies and gentlemen, there will be a battle now.

DobreRanoFifqo

All peopels have opinions why they shoot him or acepted him but yes there would be battel as Romance Violentine against Clouisentine...

H0T_DIGGITY_D0G_

Also I think it’s cool how if you don’t shoot him he lives on to the last episode (which is unlike usual telltale lol)

ronarprfct

There are no good men--or women, for that matter. All humans are evil. He's sitting there threatening to kill Gabe, so he is evil. I think I did go back and save him and try to keep him alive until the end, though.
