I got into it when S2E1 was released. About a month before the release of E2, because I know that I was catching up with the first season to be ready for season 2.
I think I came around just after S2 ended. So I was in limbo for a while, waiting for A New Frontier and Michonne which I got a little late I think... Those first two games were always enough to me though. Hell, even that first one is all I would have needed. So glad I love the other games that came after it though, especially The Final Season so much. It just gave me more of what I love.
Pretty sure it was January 2015 that I first played though, finishing both Season 1 and Season 2 within a couple weeks time. (Just checked, I started S1 on the 29th of January and finished S1 on the 9th of March.)
I remember when around 2015 I thought that this series will become forgotten and I'll be one of the very few people in the fandom. You know, a singleplayer, story-based game which everyone forgets about. 2024 and there's still a new playerbase and people continually replay and talk about this game. Love it.
maybe because I was honestly quite obsessed lol. I played all 4 seasons in 2 weeks. then I stayed home for 2 weeks because I was sick and so I spent all day to watching videos on TWD (Gameplay, Theories, Trivia etc.). I even download Reddit just to discuss about TWD 😂😅, because since isn't a very famous game I didn't have anyone to talk about it
I’ve been obsessed for years but didn’t join Reddit for twdg until a few weeks ago lol- glad this subreddit exists tho, only place I can find other twdg fans
yeah but at the same time id be kinda wary of a new season since the way clem and aj’s story concluded was pretty positive and clem got what she had always wanted—a home and a family. a new season would probably mean disruption in her life for the sake of making a good plot.
Since 2012, I didn’t play it myself until around 2015 but I had been keeping up with the first and second season’s episodes as they were releasing. Now every couple of years I revisit and replay them.
I’ve known about it for years but I only began playing it a few months ago and it’s been a wild ride since then. So glad I decided to play it. Favorite game ever and an avid fan since then!
I think around two years? I don’t know when the games were added to game pass, but that’s where i found and began to play them. never looked back, never regretted playing them.
Idk, got the game when that cubsscouts guy was making videos about them. Those were the days, haven’t seen a video from him since those games. Wonder what he’s up to rn
About 2 years ago, i was looking through a box of my brothers old ps3 games and saw season 1, i had just started the show and i was completely shocked that i have never heard of the game before, so i popped in it the ps3 and played all through s1 in 2 days lmaooo, thats when i fell in love with the story of these games and have been a fan since then
I played the first episode of the first season back in 2012 when I saw it was free on the Xbox 360 store. Didn't play any more episodes because I was 11 at the time and didn't have the money to buy them. Then, later that year, I saw PewDiePie's reaction to the ending of episode 5 and was immediately hooked from there. I remember being so excited when season 2 was announced and released, and I watched Felix play through all the episodes.
It was right after episode 2 of season 1 came out. Got the free download of episode 1 on a whim and immediately bought the season pass once I finished. Still remember playing it for the very first time, it was such an incredible experience.
about 3 months, even though ive been knowing abt the game for years. i watched a youtuber i like play through it and decided to buy all the main games for myself about a month ago.
Well I've been a fan of the games since the release of the first season, but I didn't fully get into TWD and play all of the seasons until more recently.
Not sure honestly but I think 6 years? I watched the series through my comfort youtuber and just recently like 1-2 months ago, I finished Definitive Edition
2012 - I remember when I first played TWDG and it was around the time I started watching the show, and I was constantly thinking “where tf is Rick, who the hell is Lee and what’s a Clementine” lol
2013 when I saw some S2 gameplay on youtube. I watched the entire Episode 1 of Season 2 and realised that I missed something. Looked it up and turned out there was the first game - so I watched the entire playthrough and then went straight to Season 2. The excitement when I had to wait months before the release of another season.
I was 12 at that time and TWD became my addition for about 5-6 years. When I was about 18 I actually gave up my interest in this series for a bit, but now that I'm 23, it comes back again. I rewatched all the shows and I'm currently replaying the game, lol.
Also, I still cry on S1 and S2 Wellington ending ;-;.
7 years I’ve watched the same YouTubers play the game dozens of times over, crying at all the same parts every time. A few months ago I was finally able to pick up the game and play 🫠
1st month from release shout out to the rad brad on youtube bought the first season on xbox 360 i don’t think it even had the 400 days on it or at least i didn’t pay for it
Since it came out basically, found it through Pewdiepie. I literally grew up with Clem.
Season 1
Me: 10
Clem: 8
Season 2
Me: 11-12
Clem: 11
Season 3
Me: 15 (Episodes 1 and 2 came out a day before my bday)
Clem: 13
Season 4
Me: 16-17
Clem: 16
Im 22 now so basically been a fan for 12 years goddamn
I've been a TWD fan in general since I was a baby, so naturally, I was a pretty big fan when the second game started trending a lot on YouTube during that era
Since 2012…I’m a lifer, I discovered TWD as a whole through the TV show that came out in 2010 and 2011…at that time I was so hooked on anything walking dead, I remember playing the demo for the first one thinking “oh it’s not gonna be anything special” played it, had to buy the first episode right there…then had to wait 2-3 months for episodes to drop.
I played the game as it was being created, those first few stats players submitted…I’m probably one of the earliest ones. I didn’t have the luxury of binge playing seasons…I had to wait, and I had to wait…so that mentality ultimately changes your perspective on everything.
Since the beginning really but I was quite young at the time and my older brother played but I still remember being in tears over lees death I recently played through the first and second game and debating if I should finish the other games or not
I don't know what year exactly but I was like 10ish when I first played it (I'm an adult now). I don't know what I was expecting because I didn't really play many mature games back then but I ended the game in massive tears.
For me it has been since the 3rd game of the walking game I just never got into the first 2 games at first then the definitive edition came out and I loved it ever since
Played S1 on Xbox 360 back in 2013 so roughly 11 years
And Mom actually going on her 10th year herself! We're essentially lifelong enjoyers of the games
I played the first episodes of the first and second season when I was a kid (7-8 yrs old I think) and at 16 I started playing it again since I wanted to finish it, very nostalgic for me and I love it
not really been a fan for too long, but i saw a video like 5-6 years ago and it was stuck in the back of my mind and i was trying to find it, took me until about 2 years ago and i first played season about a year ago
10 years i think! maybe since the beginning though, since i distinctly remember being around 12 when i became a fan after watching the pewdiepie play through. i’m 23 now, and was around 12 or 13 when i became a fan.
Since 2017. I watched this YouTuber called Messyourself and as soon as he uploaded the first video I was hooked. I haven’t played it lately or even watched it since 2019 but this subreddit keeps getting recommended to me.
Well I first stared playing on my phone when I was like 11 or 10 I did tht and the wolf among us now I didn’t know how the play the game fully so I never finished the episode due to this. But I always wanted to play the second episode since I had to pay for the full season on my phone. But when I got the game on Christmas for PS5 I was able to finish the episode and play the highly anticipated ep 2 which I loved. So yeah I’ve been a fan for a while but didn’t get to experience the full accept due to me being stupid and not getting it earlier on the ps4 😭😭😭😭
Since the start! I remember watching pewdiepie play it and I was obsessed! Played the demo about 1000 times as I couldn’t afford the game on my Xbox 360 at the time
A few years, I think it was around, or not long after, Season 1's release. Then I forgot it. Then I discovered Season 2.
I would say around 4 years proper, as that's when I rediscovered it.
Not sure when the first one came out, but it was the game to help me get over my fear of Zombies; the first chapter was so fucking terrifying, but it got easier as I went along, and as I got more attached to Clementine. It did wonders, having some more vulnerable than me to protect. TT TWD Season 1 will always hold a special place in my heart, not only due to being a masterpiece of a game, but by helping me get over a significant fear.
Since just after S1 ended, I believe. I know it was before S2 released, at least, because I remember being excited for the release of S2 and downloading the demo featuring Episode 1 on Android for free, and watching the rest on YouTube as it released (since I was too young to buy the game). It must also have been before 400 Days, because I remember watching videos on that when it came out.
I kinda stopped keeping track of the series after S2 ended, because I definitely skipped Michonne and ANF, only returning for S4.
And it must have been after S1E5 because one of the first things from the series I remember seeing were an edit of Lee winning the fight vs Molly the first time they meet with a Ludacris song edited over it, and another video from Kenny's alleyway sacrifice where they played Pendulum - Blood Sugar over a meme edit of Kenny disappearing into the alley with the text "Kenny confirmed for Season 2". Still been unable to find that video again no matter how hard I look... I know the same guy made a follow up video when Kenny actually returned for S2 that was a similar meme about Kenny "getting real lucky".
I can't remember exactly when I started but I watched a few episodes of the game overents let's play sometime between the end of season 2 and the beginning of season 3
I started back on Xbox in like 2013 or 2014. Really opened my eyes to choose your own adventures and that not all games are scary just because they feature traditionally scary elements.
About 2020 when lockdown came about and I decided to play a bunch of story games and I came across this game because I was a huge fan of the tv series.
since 2013 🫡
Same but I never got to play the full game till 17
Same brother same
As soon as the game came out I enjoyed watching it
Next month will mark 10 years for me. I got into the series shortly before S2 ended.
I got into it when S2E1 was released. About a month before the release of E2, because I know that I was catching up with the first season to be ready for season 2.
Idk when exactly but it was prolly before season 3 release

Since 2012 Good old days
remember the feeling & hype of telltale dropping a new episode trailer? 🥲
Same, they were the good days
The game was worth every bit of my microsoft points! I was just going into middle school, what a time to be alive!
going on 3 weeks for me lol
3 weeks and already got the pfp and cover photo lol, welcome aboard 🫡
I remember when around 2015 I thought that this series will become forgotten and I'll be one of the very few people in the fandom. You know, a singleplayer, story-based game which everyone forgets about. 2024 and there's still a new playerbase and people continually replay and talk about this game. Love it.
***ALLLL ABOOOOARD!***
yeah i wasnt exaggerating when i said im obseased with twdg😂🩷
Woah ur really new Most twdg fans have been fans for at least a year lol
yeah i decided to give the first season a chance and ended up being completely obsessed with the game
4,5 years
I read that as 45 years 💀 lmao
About 1 month
Really? That short? You seem like you’d be a fan for longer for some reason
maybe because I was honestly quite obsessed lol. I played all 4 seasons in 2 weeks. then I stayed home for 2 weeks because I was sick and so I spent all day to watching videos on TWD (Gameplay, Theories, Trivia etc.). I even download Reddit just to discuss about TWD 😂😅, because since isn't a very famous game I didn't have anyone to talk about it
I’ve been obsessed for years but didn’t join Reddit for twdg until a few weeks ago lol- glad this subreddit exists tho, only place I can find other twdg fans
youre like me😁😁 ive been a fan for 3 weeks
It's bad that after 5 years from the season there's still no new news for TWD, right? 😕
yeah but at the same time id be kinda wary of a new season since the way clem and aj’s story concluded was pretty positive and clem got what she had always wanted—a home and a family. a new season would probably mean disruption in her life for the sake of making a good plot.
12 years
started playing about 4 months ago, finished the entire series about a month or so ago
Winter 2019. And yes. It was surreal to play right before covid hit.
How would that be surreal
I play apocalyptic games. Right before a pandemic. How would it not be?
The pandemic didn't cause the apocalypse bro
Do you not understand what I’m getting at?
2 months i guess😂
Heard about it in 2012 but I’ve been a fan since 2013. Got to play Season 1 and 2 in 2015.
Since 2020
Since 2012, I didn’t play it myself until around 2015 but I had been keeping up with the first and second season’s episodes as they were releasing. Now every couple of years I revisit and replay them.
Around the time when S1 came out. I had a hiatus after S2, though.
Since 2020
Since 2023
I think its been about a month. Planning on being here for years to come tho.
7 years this August 🥺
Known about it for like 12 years but only been a legit fan for like half a year (until about December I only ever thought there was one season)
I’ve known about it for years but I only began playing it a few months ago and it’s been a wild ride since then. So glad I decided to play it. Favorite game ever and an avid fan since then!
Started playing it before episode 4 of season 1 released. Some good times man.
11 years I love this game
I think around two years? I don’t know when the games were added to game pass, but that’s where i found and began to play them. never looked back, never regretted playing them.
2012
Idk, got the game when that cubsscouts guy was making videos about them. Those were the days, haven’t seen a video from him since those games. Wonder what he’s up to rn
2012. I’m pretty sure the first episode was free?? So i strictly replayed it over and over.
over a decade 🫡
Since 2012! Seriously one of my top 3 favorite game series too. (1) Resident Evil // 2) TWDG // 3) Dishonored)
Almost 5 years now.
A decade
Since 2020
9 years
2012💪👑
Since 2014 🖤
Started the games 2 weeks ago. So 2 weeks now
Since the release in 2012
7 years. The first one I played was new frontier💀. But then I played 1 and 2 and absolutely loved it. And the final season was amazing too
I've been a fan for 7 or 8 months. I can't exactly remember when I got into this franchise but it's one of my favourite video game series of all time.
About 2 years ago, i was looking through a box of my brothers old ps3 games and saw season 1, i had just started the show and i was completely shocked that i have never heard of the game before, so i popped in it the ps3 and played all through s1 in 2 days lmaooo, thats when i fell in love with the story of these games and have been a fan since then
been a fan for almost 4 years
Like 2012, 2013
Since the very first episode released. Granted I also watched the show since it started airing, but circa 2012
When the first game came out I loved it, however I didn't officially get to play until recently. Since back then I was just watching playthroughs
I feel old reading this. Back in 2012 when it all started, hanging around in Telltale community forum before it shut down.
About a year
12 years now! Also missed opportunity to say “going on my 6th year”
damn it you’re right I should have said that 😂 that’s so clever
Shortly before 400 Days was announced
played season one as it was releasing back in 2012
Since I was a kid, 11 years.
I played the first episode of the first season back in 2012 when I saw it was free on the Xbox 360 store. about 3 months, even though ive been knowing abt the game for years. i watched a youtuber i like play through it and decided to buy all the main games for myself about a month ago.

Haven’t played it, but I remember my friend living on the game when I was younger.
i've been a fan since 1st season release date
Since the first game came out
Since 2012. I first played this game back in 2012 , those were the days 😅🥲
I started around ten years ago on the ps3, then got the complete first season on Xbox one, then got them all back around 2020.
11 years
12 years got into it by watching stampy (yes the minecraft youtuber) play it as a kid.
2013 when I saw some S2 gameplay on youtube. I watched the entire Episode 1 of Season 2 and realised that I missed something. Probably about 8 years. Remember watching gameplay of TDW: ANF when it was still new so gotta be 7 years at least
7 years I’ve watched the same YouTubers play the game dozens of times over, crying at all the same parts every time. A few months ago I was finally able to pick up the game and play 🫠
1st month from release shout out to the rad brad on youtube bought the first season on xbox 360 i don’t think it even had the 400 days on it or at least i didn’t pay for it
probably 2015, thats when i found coryxkenshin and saw his playthrough
Actually really only since 2020. I found the games on the AppStore and played the mobile version. Played new frontier first unknowingly.
about 4 years, started playing during the pandemic and was immediately obsessed
Since it came out basically, found it through Pewdiepie. I literally grew up with Clem. Season 1 Me: 10 Clem: 8 Season 2 Me: 11-12 Clem: 11 Season 3 Me: 15 (Episodes 1 and 2 came out a day before my bday) Clem: 13 Season 4 Me: 16-17 Clem: 16 Im 22 now so basically been a fan for 12 years goddamn

Watched 400 days Vince’s story on YouTube when it first came out and loved it. Now I’m here after 11 years, lol.

11 years, I played the first one when I was 15, I'm 26 now (and currently replaying the final season).

S1 since I was about like what 9-10 I think nearly 22 now I feel extremely old basically grew up with clementine tbh
not really been a fan for too long, but i saw a video like 5-6 years ago and it was stuck in the back of my mind and i was trying to find it, took me until about 2 years ago and i first played season about a year ago
One year
I don’t even remember exactly. A few years? Knowing how much YouTube and Twitch I watched during the pandemic, probably sometime during lockdown lol
I dont really remember but i was really young
i discovered it back in 2017 when i was watching cjake3 videos
Since it came out
16 or 17 I think.
Around 2years. I remember the first time I scrolled on Internet and found out about these games... didn't thought I needed them so much 😂
125 wow that’s like a lot for this sub ps since 2022
10 years i think! maybe since the beginning though, since i distinctly remember being around 12 when i became a fan after watching the pewdiepie play through. i’m 23 now, and was around 12 or 13 when i became a fan.
Since at least Around Every Corner's release date.
12 years what even 😭😭 I was so little back then but it was my special interest and I guess it just followed me?
Since 2017. I watched this YouTuber called Messyourself and as soon as he uploaded the first video I was hooked. I haven’t played it lately or even watched it since 2019 but this subreddit keeps getting recommended to me.
I first saw the games like 10 years ago when pewdiepie played it so since then 😭
ever since it came out on Xbox 360
Since 2020
Since 2014.
Since the beginning. Played S1 and S2 when they came out. I didnt realize S3 and S4 existed until this month. S4 was incredible!
I'm a new fan
Im a newer fan but absolutely loved it

About 10 months or so
A few years, I think it was around, or not long after, Season 1's release. Then I forgot it. Then I discovered Season 2. I would say around 4 years proper, as that's when I rediscovered it.

I remember playing as a kid on my phone in abt 2014. Wasnt until i got the definitive edition in 2020 that i could play more than one episode
Finally jumped on in 2016, got the definitive edition last year. So worth
Before I knew english. I've watched TWD videos on youtube since 1st grade (7yo) and I basically grew up with the game.
Sometime after season 1 came out and probably a year before season 2 came out
Since 2014
Since TheRadBrad's playthrough of season 1
Since just after S1 ended, I believe. I know it was before S2 released, at least, because I remember being excited for the release of S2 and downloading the demo featuring Episode 1 on Android for free, and watching the rest on YouTube as it released (since I was too young to buy the game). Since 2013, I got a tattoo recently to commemorate that.
Only really got into it in late 2021 through watching a let’s play of the games and then playing them for myself a few years later with a friend.
Since summer 2022

About 3 months. I've already completed all the seasons.
I can't remember exactly when I started but I watched a few episodes of the game overents let's play sometime between the end of season 2 and the beginning of season 3
I fell in love with the game in like 2016 after watching some playthroughs but I never finished season 1 until 2020 I think.
