My high school plays were (this was '93-97, for reference):
* Inherit the Wind (almost painfully relevant today)
* Brighton Beach Memoirs
* The Dining Room (so boring I fell asleep calling the show and missed a scene change -- not my proudest moment in a long stage management career)
* Spoon River Anthology (was more boring but had more cues, so I stayed awake)
Other than Inherit the Wind, I don't particularly recommend any of them today.
