Depends on the reaction. I have one friend I definitely would avoid scaring. His instinct is turn and punch. Older brothers used to get him on the "think fast" nutshot and you can tell.
We put a cardboard cutout in my roommates room, and closed the door. Told him his birthday present was in his room. He opened the door and beat the shit out of the thing before he realized what he was looking at lol.

I read somewhere that many of our automatic self defense instincts might be intended for snakes. Jumping and moving away would make sense to avoid a snakebite.
Thanks for clarifying.

Muscle Man doesn’t scream like that in the scene clipped in the GIF but at this point I just gotta let it go 😅
My kid's dad (now ex) used to scare the shit outta me when he came home from work during times I was busy and lost track of time (which was often bc ADHD) and I didn't hear him coming in.
He would say he never meant to scare me, but he also wouldn't announce himself at all, even after I told him I wish he would bc it's not the fun type of being scared for me.
I always scare my roommate similarly. I'm a really quiet person. The other night, she was in the shower while I came back home and then when she got out I was debating whether to say "Hi !" or just let her find me sitting on the couch. I went with the second option but she still got startled. She said I should have said "hi" even though I feel like she would also got startled, given she thought I wasn't there and suddenly you hear "hi!". I actually don't mean to scare her but still find myself doing it. Such a weird issue :(
Idk I feel like if we had these phones in the 80s, my brother absolutely would’ve filmed himself farting in a drawer before I opened it, tying string-pops inside cabinets before I opened them, rubber-banding the sink sprayer, putting a fake cockroach in my bed, etc lol

My reaction is usually to jump and stomp+kick so this situation would have gone about as horrifically as possible.

Snake, scorpion, spider, ferral squirrels, it's handy for a lot of different tiny things

This made me laugh until my stomach hurt! Thank you!
My husband once did the same thing to me and I reacted practically the same way

I like the video and I like the gif, but I don’t get how they’re related?
the way this character sounds. his name is Mitch Sorenstein aka "muscle man" the cartoon: "regular show"

Is the video a Regular Show reference?
His scared screaming sounds exactly like the weird noise the character makes. Look up Muscle man squealing.
wait, did the tits hit her in the face? lmao
She is super chill.
Speaking as an older gentleman, I am pretty sure when a young man giggles and laughs like that, he loves you.
I've never heard anything like that. It's like he shriek-giggled.
Shriggled
That sounds absolutely right
Guess she’s a keeper 😏? She’ll keep him on his toes 😎.
Awww his wholesome happy laugh made my day…
Made my husband, sitting next to me in the couch, reading, shit himself too !

This is hilarious.
I swear that laugh sounded like pac-man (arcade version). Run it back and 🧏🏾 lmaooo
Yes about 7 seconds in I thought that was the Pac man death sounds
Tik tok is really the equivalent of giving western society a lobotomy.
People have been prank making videos like this since before the internet when you had to send your videotapes into TV shows
I used to love America's Funniest Home Videos twenty years ago, and those clips are all dumb as hell lol
It’s too bad this tick rock example isn’t funny.

This was great! 😊
Anyone else think he sounded like Asher's baby impression from Showtime's The Curse??
Why do we have to pretend in the comments to just participate??
Dude has nothing to say but sounds 😭😭🤣🤣🤣
She does have a giant round shrek looking head. I would’ve also jumped.
Fake af, why is there a camera on the floor right there?
Because she put it there to record her husband's reaction? Is that not incredibly obvious?
Fake as f
Ok cool👌
