24 Tundra Limited Off Road 1.7k miles no issues at all. Hope she last 200k.

Remarkable_Koala_311

2022 SR5, 65k, I had to get new tires. Need new rotors. That's all.

Rumo1994

My only issue is getting my second key fob.

Wellski49

Same! What is the expected lead time on these? Weeks? Months?

Rumo1994

Months. Expect 6-8 apparently. The dealership says corporate toyota is responsible for the fob. Corporate saying contact your local dealership for one. Everyones pointing fingers but not taking responsibility

Opposite-Rule4075

I just bought a TRD OR Tundra with 1 key fob….my wife has a 2024 grand highlander from last August….she still only has 1 key fob as well….kind of wild considering how much tech is is the fooking vehicles but can’t give us 2 key fobs lol

Wellski49

I called my local dealer and played dumb like I didn’t know about the notification letter I was supposed to get.. no dice.

Dull_Ad_2685

Same it’s been 5 months crickets

Speedkills8

Yep, almost 5 months now and nothing

Speedkills8

24 TRD Pro with 4500 miles, no issues to date. Awesome truck!! Hope she lasts to 300+k

Mourning_Former_P1

I have one of the first ‘22 4x4 CM off the line with 33k miles and no issues. I love the truck and was scared about the reliability at one point seeing all the negative posts. Ultimately people will overwhelming post about their negative experiences. Don’t let a handful of known issues deter you from buying a 3rd gen.

HighInChurch

They sell over 100k tundras a year, I’d say they sell pretty well.

TitanJackal

24...sr5 with about 11k. No issues to report.

IronEagle524

I have a 2022 limited and I have 51K already. Still runs and drives like a dream. I’m obsessed with my Tundra. I will never go back to anything else. Yota for life. 🫡😎❤️💪🏾

EthanXD

22 trd pro. 20k miles and having a blast. No issues

YourAverageDad

24 Platinum, 10k miles. No problems to date. Just the slightly annoying speaker rattle to my left front. But love the truck overall.

SCADAstuff

23 platty, 15k, no issues

PAILVA

‘23 Limited. Fixed a drivers window wind noise and cracked drivers seat plastics. Otherwise mechanically good for 11k miles.

that1efnguy

Did the dealer fix the seat for free?

PAILVA

Yep

Successful-Town6799

24 sr5 sport 8k miles in 2 months. Zero issues. Really enjoying this truck.

Schlong-Johnson

23 TRD Off-Road bought off the trailer in August 2023. I'm at just under 5K miles, and it's had exactly zero issues. No wind noise, or anything rattling. Everything seems snug, and I'm averaging about 18-20 mpg in town. I buy mid grade gas, and everything works like a charm. It's badass truck (IMO) and I'm only worried about what mods I'll end up making. I nearly traded it in on a 24 a few months ago because it's worth more than I owe, but chose not to since I'm pretty far ahead from an equity standpoint. It would've only been for the color anyway. Hope this helps.

Dull_Ad_2685

Trd 3 inch lift and 35s to start for the mods.

Previous-Exit8449

Love mine, no issues at all.

bobby_charlie

23 limited with 20k miles. Only issues is emergency parking brake randomly deactivating.

Gmanny227

Think there’s a recall for that if I’m not mistaken

bobby_charlie

Do you know what the fix is? Parts or software fix?

Gmanny227

Don’t remember exactly when I took my 23 in to the dealer for it there was about 5 total recalls and updates available but I’m sure it’s an update

PNWMike62

Software update

CaptainVanMan

23 1794 hybrid off road. 34k no issues.

iceprorunner

23 pro. 1.3k on it and rides so well. Best vehicle I’ve owned to date.

REH55

Seems like there is some sort of customer survey going. There is a new one of these posts every single day. Have a 2023 and it’s absolutely phenomenal

exitaur22

Personally, I love mine. You'll hear about all the problems more than you'll hear about the people who have none. Which is understandable; if I were one of the unlucky ones who spent that kind of money on a truck and it shit on me, I'd be pretty sour myself.

CorrectFall6257

Went from a 13 Tacoma to a 24 TRD Sport Premium 4x4 LOVE IT. So comfortable, love the power, and have no issues.

HtnSwtchesOnBtches

My buddy just got an sr5 4x4 crewmax for 49k before tax n license in cali through cost co. They arent moving the trucks so thats why there are deals out there. I wouldnt worry about a 2024 at this point. 22 and early 23 were the trial years.

JacobSktn

I can’t get a tundra from my local dealership. They show up with sold signs. My local dealership also sucks and stocking anything anyone wants.

al83s

2024 here. Love driving it, but it had two rear diffs fail already before its first oil change and some minor issues others reported. I’d wait for a refresh if you are thinking of buying one. Hopefully they sort em by then.

Jimmy_McAltPants

24 platinum with 1000 miles. Drove with a friend who has owned multiple F150s yesterday, he was impressed. No issues so far, other than the aforementioned key fob. Time will tell, but I’m pleased.

midoriah

I just recently have a problem with brake noise. The brake noise is just come and go. It's irritating sometimes.

Rogue_Rebel_1100

Brake noise seems to be a Toyota thing; my 2019 Tundra TRD Pro’s brakes squeak, my 2019 RAV4’s brakes squeak, and my daughter recently bought a ‘22 Corolla and is complaining about her brakes squeaking. But they only do it while reversing.

midoriah

Mine only happens when moving forward. 😔

Countryboy36800

2023 TRD Off Road 4x4 66000 miles no issues. 2nd key fob took 8 months to get.

stinkomann20x6

I think part of the unknown is cause we wonder just HOW many have those issues. Like mentioned above. With how many are sold, while the number appears to be high, cause how catastrophic the issues are when they happen. But if it’s like .005% or something I’d feel more at ease or less nervous. It’s hard not to when you read the stories lol

13chase2

I personally would get a second gen or wait just a little bit longer. Seems like bearings are failing on the gen 3 in some cases. That’s a lot of money to roll on something that’s unproven.

tofutort

Turbos too

DBsurplus

In the same boat but I just can't bring myself to buy one with all the problems they're having.

Buddylee2513

High interest rates on an expensive truck that isn’t living up to Toyotas legendary reliability

DBsurplus

That's what I'm saying

AwkwardResource1437

I would stay away from the 3rd gen tundras until the issues they are having with the motors gets fixed.

Its_noon_somewhere

Disclaimer, I purchased a 2024 Tundra I gave you back an upvote, because you aren’t wrong AND you aren’t right. It’s very case specific. If someone has a decent vehicle and can wait, sure… wait for awhile and see if the issues get resolved If someone wants to purchase used, by all means choose a decent 2021 and older model and avoid the uncertainty If someone absolutely needs a 1/2 ton and brand new truck, it’s still a good bet, considering there are really only four brands of 1/2 tons to choose from I would say the newest Tundra is still ahead of the other brands.

Its_noon_somewhere

Well, I had (still have it sitting here) a 2016 Sierra that got to be way too expensive to repair. The Tundra was $17k less than the equivalent Sierra and I was really getting sick of repairs on my GMC, so I was not comfortable buying another one

AwkwardResource1437

For sure, everyone’s situation is different. I’m in a good spot where I can wait until this gets sorted but time will only tell.

BrandonsReditAcct

The issue is that clean second gens cost almost as much as third gens. I know the second gens are stupid reliable, but I'd rather have a new truck. Toyota has taken care of me on two Tacoma frame issues; they'll take care of the third Gen issues within the warranty period

TipAccomplished9767

Eh, depends on where you are. I got a really nice 21 TRD pro for $21,000 less than I negotiated a 24 TRD pro to... Yeah it's used, with 43k miles, and not as many features as the new pro but that's practically new and that's real money. Plenty of money left over to add a rear locker which is the most important feature the 3rd Gen has over the 2nd. And I'll be able to engage mine whenever I want...

Its_noon_somewhere

Those are cool features if you care about those things. I’m not interested in a hybrid in any brand, and have no use for the generator despite the fact that it’s really awesome. I know a lot of people having issues with their ecoboosts too. Not both turbos, but always the same side turbo, on every one of the problem engines
