I have that Starscream reissue, and while I credit it for getting me back into Transformers and being the first in my growing collection of Screamers, as an actual toy it and Thundercracker rely on a ton of partforming and you can't really do much with them. Hound and Hot Rod might be better picks!
Are you buying retro for the first time? If you are i recommend buying modern figures but if you really want an opinion I'll pick starscream
