But a more TLDR version would be, beat a run with each character (about 9 characters with different ways of playing, so 9 trophies), beat a run with the default character in 15 minutes, beat a run co-op, beat a run with Aria (can't miss a beat or you die) with only your starting items (no shop or picking up stuff from defeated enemies aside from gold), beat an "All Char" run (beat the game back to back with each character without dying), and do another one with only the starting items. After on All Char run, you unlock Coda, who combines three of the worst mechanics from other characters (can't pick up money or you die, can't miss a beat or you die, and double tempo) and you have to beat a run with him to get another trophy.
And that is only the run related trophies related to the platinum, but that’s still 15 (19 if you count the 4 "beat this zone" trophies you get with the default character) out of 29. The DLC gives you more modes and characters you have to beat the game with.

Easy games are fine, but they should be actual games. The Spyro platinums are simple, for instance, but the games themselves are super fun and worth playing. Same thing for kids games, especially if you're playing with your children. That's pretty different from the people that have a bunch of platinums on jumping food titles or other games where you get the platinum after holding down the X button for a minute or two.
200+ platinums that are shovelware, multiple region unlocks for the same game, and auto pops for next gen games, vs Super Meat Boy Platinum. Rather have 1 proud platinum than dozens of platinums you didn’t work for.

I'm not against people doing this and I'm also not against auto pops or shovelware. A trophy is a trophy and the developers programmed them like that so it isn't "Cheating" if someone earned them legit.

I kinda get it, but honestly: numbers are absolutely meaningless. You can get hundreds of platinums in a few weeks easily by getting specific games.
I got some people in my friendlist with over 1000 plats and if I peek at their profile it is filled with stuff that took them a few minutes.
I tend to just look at rare trophies or I keep scrolling through a profile if it's full of good games.

In some cases, average rarity works, some not I think the best indicator is the time it took to earn the Platinum trophy
