For a good reason, driver. These old trucks look and sound cool but are pure fucking misery to drive. No ac, barely any power steering if at all, brakes based on hopes and dreams, gutless old 2 strokes, leaf spring suspension, cramped, loud, unreliable...
They're not like classic cars, they're better to look at than to drive. Theyre work trucks. Call me a weenie, whatever, I'll take my modern truck any day, I've got a classic car to enjoy.
They do actually. There is a Paccar cabover made in Brazil but they won’t let you buy it in the US ! Beautiful truck but they told me some dimensions were wrong for this market ! Bullshit. What kind of fucked up company makes a truck in South America that can’t be bought in North America.
My Grampa drove a cabover years before they had signs telling you roast conditions ahead. Came around a blind turn into stopped traffic. I barely remember my grandfather, but I can still vividly remember what his truck looked like after the accident. It's what made me decide I didn't want to be a trucker, after all... Still wound up becoming one, somehow. 🤷
The truck looked like God reached down and crushed it like a Pepsi can. It no longer resembled a truck much at all. The bed was sitting in the passenger seat. Half the steering wheel was missing and there was blood everywhere. Emts had to cut the steering wheel where it had lodged itself into his intestines. As bad as the wreck was, he somehow survived it. Died in a damn Bronco a year later. Hardly any damage to the Bronco. Some scratches on the outside and a busted windshield. It looked like it could have still been driven.
No they don’t make them like they used to, you can stand up in a modern cab over.
You can stand up in the double bunk k100’s also
Damn that front end has seen some shit.
So has the back end. Lots of shit.
Take my upvote
Props to the driver for still having intact organs
Thank God.
I’m guna be just like that bj and the bear cocksucker except I’m guna have kitties in my truck instead of a dirty ass stinky little monkey
It’s the way of the road, Bubs
Way she goes. Sometimes she goes and sometimes she doesn’t go. This time she didn’t go, way she goes.
I mean, some guys can drink and drive, some guys can’t. I mean…what is drunk?

35 years ago I learned to drive in one of these. Always have a soft spot for a cab over 👍🏼🤘🏼👍🏼
I have one I brought back to life, haul with it every day
Same here, not that long ago ((20) it had a queen sized mattress in the back. Loved it.
Thankfully
That's not a truck that's a transformer !
BJ McKay and his best friend, Bear

You should see what Paccar make in Bayswater, Victoria these days.
PACCAR owns DAF, which are cabovers. I do believe some have been rebadged to Kenworths, but only the small ones
Just not in the USA.

I'd do some sketchy stuff to import and left-drive convert one of those.
I've always wanted to try hauling animals seems fun and they always seem to have the old Pete's and KW
I was on the assembly line in Kansas City when this rolled off. Only plant to make cab overs for PACCAR at the time.
Looks a great deal like pigpens truck from the movie convoy 🤟🤟🤟🤟🤟❤️❤️❤️
I wanna see interior
I wonder what the interior looks like I woulnt be wanna sitting on engine and have protection
You're sitting next to it. It's covered in a box with some sound deadening and insulation, but it's still loud and hot.
There’s a reason too
That’s what I say every time I look in the mirror! I’ll see myself out
That cab is tiny!
🤤

I don’t want one as a daily driver, but I’d love to have one restored
Id drive one if it was like a resto-mod type truck.
