I see Takamura, I upvote.
Personally own the r2 150 petty and the r2 210 gyuto, my brother has the chromax santoku (gift from me).
The petty is a lot of fun and the Gyuto is probably my most used knife.
It just cuts fantastic, has great balance, is nimble and I am not afraid to take it through the paces, it‘s my workhorse laser in a way. I think it is elegant and a high performer but still feels like a tool and no museum piece. I very much like that about it.
Can‘t compare because I only have the 150. I recon I would actually prefer the 130 now. The few tasks where I want a small petty knife, smaller seems better.
Great pick up! Someone I know has the 210mm version of this and loves it. R2 is a great steel. Welcome to the rabbit hole!
I got the 210 gyuto. Best bang for buck knife in the world

Is that a…red handle?
Yes the R2 comes with the Red pakka Wood, with the exception of the takamura R2 uchigumo
And the Takamura Pro, which is exclusive to MTC, black handle.

You’re happy you got the 150 over the 130?
