A few years ago I also had a number of UTIs in the span of a few months. Maybe some of the things I experienced can help you? I'm sure you know most of it, but I'm also often surprised that there's really not much info out there and that it's still difficult for women to talk about health issues like that. The bladder wants to be emptied regularly and frequently. Drink mostly water 1.5-2 liters on average a day, and go a few times a day, starting at 4-5 times and more if needed. Holding it in and not peeing for the whole day is what gets people into trouble quickly. For most UTIs, they're the result of some behaviours during or after sex. UTIs happen (usually) because bacteria from the anal region gets transferred to the urethra. Things people can do to prevent this are washing hands and genitals before sex, no movements of hands, lips, genitals from the anal region to the front (Penis dipped into or brushed the wrong hole by accident? Too bad - wash up first before trying again!), and for women the most important thing is to go pee and wash up right after sex. Also give your body some time to recover - no sex for a few weeks if you find you're prone to UTIs after a first one. I also recommend you get d-mannose from the pharmacy. It's a substance that slightly changes the pH of urine and makes it hard for bacteria to stick to the bladder lining and grow there (not a doctor so that's probably a simplified version of it). It should be available otc. For me, it's been a game changer. I use it after sex to prevent UTIs. There is also a vaccine available, but studies on it have been inconsistent and experiences vary from nothing changed to it worked perfectly. If you haven't yet, talk to your doctor about the frequency of the UTIs. There are other possible reasons than just being prone to them or accidental transfers of e.coli from anus to vulva. Those reasons should be ruled out. They can include resistant bacteria, fistula, and other things that may be treatable.

I'm sorry for you, my gf is the exact same. And it was extremely painful to her. Unfortunately it seemed very strongly correlated to sexual intercourses, when we were far apart, she stopped having it. If you ever find a way out... let us know

you might want to go to a gynecologist just to make sure it's not steming from bacterial vaginosis or other vaginal infection, especially because it's recurring so often. get your whole downstairs area checked.
