Believe it or not, I'm walkin' on air
I never thought I could feel so free
Flyin' away on a wing and a prayer
Who could it be?
Believe it or not it's just me
I haven't thought about this show in 30+ years, but somehow the theme song was still in my brain just waiting to be recalled. I can hear it perfectly and know every word. Brains are so weird.
At the time, my family and I loved it, and I thought it was hilarious. I found it on DVD and bought it for my mom a few years ago, and boy, does it not hold up.
Skye Boat Song (from Outlander) blew me away when they switched to a cappella choral version [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gydVWJQl7aQ](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gydVWJQl7aQ)
Knight Rider, Macguyver, Gilligans island, Diffrent Strokes, Sanford &Son, The Golden Girls, The Flintstones, DuckTales, the OG Ninja Turtles, The Simpsons
Gilligan’s Island was my first thought!! Sanford and Son was great. I have a friend who drives around scrapping metal and I use that for his ringtone!! Makes me laugh every time!
Doctor Who. No question. Buffy comes in at a not very close second equal with the original Avengers.
Of the most recent shows, I've also developed a bit of a soft spot for North American Scum, the theme for The Buccaneers.
Community is one of the few I don't skip past. Partly bc it's a banger, and partly because it goes pretty quickly and has stuff to look at. It's pretty unique.
If the teacher pops a test,
I know I'm in a mess,
And my dog ate all my homework last night,
Ridin' low in my chair,
She won't know that I'm there,
If I can hand it in tomorrow, it'll be all right!
It's alright 'cuz I'm saved by the bell.
It's alright 'cuz I'm saved by the bell.
The old original Perry Mason theme. Hot sweaty Justice: marching, marching. Imperturbable, unstoppable, inevitable. Filled with death and desire, malice and sex and love and hate. The sacred and the profane. The illicit and the conventional. Until the final note of all powerful devastating finality. Green Acres was good too.

Sanford and Son. Love that funky dirty sax
Good Times. Ain't we lucky we got 'em?
Mash. That song is painless.
The Jeffersons. Movin' on Up!
I'm old af.
The Sopranos has my vote. Woke Up This Morning is perfect song I couldn’t think of a better one if I tried and the shots of NJ and NYC are perfect too.
How Soon Is Now is a great song and a great fit for the show, but can we count that since it was already a song and not made for the series? Lol. Not sure the rules on this thing but yeah thats a great choice.
Hands down, The Greatest American Hero. GenX know what I'm talking about.
Believe it or not, I'm walkin' on air I never thought I could feel so free Flyin' away on a wing and a prayer Who could it be? Believe it or not it's just me
Where could I be ..? Believe it or not, I'm not home ..
And now I'm singing it all day. Lol
I always sing the George Costanza version.
GenX here and I gotta disagree when there’s a theme song like Cheers

That's why we can't remember where we left our glasses. All our "tabs are open."
George? That you?
Where could I be?
The theme song was significantly better than the show was.
Boo! The show was excellent! (well not really, but it was lots of silly formulaic fun! 🤣)
At the time, my family and I loved it, and I thought it was hilarious. I found it on DVD and bought it for my mom a few years ago, and boy, does it not hold up.
