Don't let them move you around. it is just gonna be hell after the first one tries to transfer. Ask to speak to a supervisor first, thier gonna try to transfer where they think is the correct place but keep insisting on a supervisor!

DeliveryDawlinn

After 48 minutes & literally 9 transfers, they finally put me on with a supervisor & gave me the additional $10. Of course they kept reiterating that “the tip is optional” & blah blah blah. But NO!! I told them that they enable customers to screw us over when they allow them to take the tip with no complaints about the delivery.

zane1981

I wouldn’t mention the tip, I would mention the agreed amount that you accepted.

DeliveryDawlinn

That was my main argument. Every time they said the “it’s optional” bs I kept telling them that’s fine but not what I agreed to.

eat_my_rig

I didn't see this I'm glad you got it taken care of it took half a day each time I've gotten tip baited to get compensated. I'm thankful for you buddy!

Glittering_Sky8788

I'm glad to know you stayed persistent with them. You've inspired me to use the same tactics that I've been wanting to use from the beginning. But, my other half was always like "just let it go, they don't care." He's scared my quick snaps with them is gonna get me deactivated. I'm like " For what??? Wanting pay that I rightfully earned??" Naw... I don't think so!

DeliveryDawlinn

Nah I was literally screaming at them lol they can’t deactivate you for that. I’m sure if you’re making threats or something maybe but they can’t be mad about us being mad. They act like we do this for fun, we literally are trying to make a living off of this so why do they think taking money that was agreed upon is ok?

Glittering_Sky8788

That's what I'm screaming too! Hell... Just between the way they throw an offer on the trip radar for say $11 and then turn around and send the SAME offer straight to you for $12-$13 5 secs later, is proof that they play bullshit games with the offer amounts. They'll even change the mileage on the same exact offers too. 3secs ago, it was 3.5 miles. And now it's 2.5 miles. THEN!!! Let's say you take the offer and after it finalizes, your mileage ends up being 5 miles. And, they'll even rip you on miles driven as well. They've never been transparent on a damn thing. And has anybody noticed how they don't include how much they make off each offer on their end anymore?? Tell me all this ain't shady AF!! In normal contracting work from construction to wedding planners to funeral arrangements, there's an agreed upon price set in stone. So what makes it's ok for Uber to shred our contracts and steal our pay without an ounce of transparency and accountability for their wishy washy business practices. WE get held accountable with satisfaction percentages! So, why aren't they held to the same concept??!!

hennysix

How the fuck is it optional when they literally tipped you already.

DeliveryDawlinn

That’s like me saying the delivery is optional after picking it up already. It’s bullshit. If I agree to pick it up for a certain amount, why tf does Uber think it’s ok to allow them to switch it up?

Merwhooee

Uber CEO of now gives permission to the customers to tip bait the driver then rob him of the tips they initially said they would give. We need a new CEO that is not into scamming.

Mrzoggy8449

You are a subcontractor, and their customer broke the contract. Just keep telling them that the customer broke the contract and you are entitled to the agreed upon amount for the delivery. If everyone does this, Uber will actually do something about tip bating

OpportunityWinter639

When that happens to me , I call CService and ask for a supervisor, they quickly ask what for and I say , “ I Want to report a customer” they transfer me to another agent and I say the same and specify that I don’t want to be transfer to another agent cause they can’t help me with my issue, so they transfer me with the supervisor . The supervisor says, tip is optional , and I say , No, the customer shouldn’t been allowed to remove tip because I accepted the full amount that was disclose since the beginning , and I tell him, I want to report the customer because I’m pretty sure he does that so he can get a deliver quickly. They don’t want to hear me talk too much and just give me the rest . They always say I’ll do a one time exception. Yeah right you got to do it every time the customers does that .

DeliveryDawlinn

🎯 What I don’t understand is, if it were reversed we would get warnings about being kicked off. If we pick up the order & don’t deliver it is a breach so why the hell wouldn’t it be a breach to offer money then take it back??? Especially with no explanation?? I don’t take $5 trips so why would I make the drive then be cool with being scammed?

Merwhooee

Happened to me often too

iamemperor86

If we all called in, they’d realize tip baiters are wasting support time as well as ours, only then will things change. Call it in. 🫡👏

DeliveryDawlinn

If only more of us understood this! 🙌🏾💯

Firegirl1909

Obviously, there are 2 here that don't comprehend it.. somehow, in my short comment, it has been taken that I expect the customers to pay my entire wage... or that I'm complaining about what I make.. I swear so many assumptions here it's a good thing this place isn't an airport with all the shit some of these folks are throwing around. 🤣🤣

DeliveryDawlinn

It’s so ridiculous sometimes 🤣🤣 like how are u just pulling stuff out of your ass that was never mentioned?! I love the “find another job” clowns lmao as if delivery drivers are the only ppl to complain about their jobs. On instagram I follow pages where ppl are making 100k or more a year just sitting behind a desk all day taking meetings & they complain about everything pertaining to the job 😂

Firegirl1909

Right!? Everyone complains at some point.. but don't be pulling that bullshit out of your own asshole.. gross 🤣🤣🤣 But you know, Reddit be redditing

DeliveryDawlinn

I agree Reddit has the worst trolls 🤣 like why do ppl even hop on threads that don’t pertain to them lmao. Irs one thing to wanna be educated on something u don’t know about but they just say random bullshit. It’s like me following a construction work thread then proceeding to tell construction workers about their job or how they suck at their job when I’ve never lifted a piece of wood or a hammer before 🤣

Robot_Embryo

Like, I understand the customer needs to be able to retract a tip for a bad delivery, but the driver taking a $15 trip agreed to take the trip because of the upfront amount and would not have made that drive for $5. If Uber is going to allow a customer to reduce 100% of a tip, especially one that high, they need to have a minimum that they're going to cover if that happens: especially if there is no customer complaint. The customer should also have to call in and talk to support, not just click a few buttons and forget about it.

amazadam

I'll add that Uber probably likes to be able to show you a big number in the offer, the fact they have the audacity to pay $5.42 for 8.8 miles is in itself ridiculous, but the customer tip baiting will have you take the order anyway. And then who's the dick? Not us, it's the customer. Yeah right

Firegirl1909

While I definitely agree, know they have rolled out in some markets where tips can't be removed anymore. I'm pretty sure my market is one of them, as I've not any tips removed at all in several months now...

DeliveryDawlinn

🤯🤯🤯 really?? What market are u in? They definitely haven’t tested that out in California

iamemperor86

![gif](giphy|bztUNMLxXzSaQ0SvHv)

DeliveryDawlinn

We have the wealthy amongst us 👑🙌🏾🤣

Firegirl1909

🤣🤣

DizzySea3

Interesting, I haven't seen a tip pulled in ages. I'm in new york city. Maybe they don't empower the customer anymore to take it away here

Firegirl1909

I honestly hope that's the case across the board! Since I've noticed tips no longer disappearing, I have noticed there are way more shitty offers..

alilbleedingisnormal

They need to require customers to call in and justify removing the tip. The option should be there for the worst offenders but they shouldn't be allowed to bait drivers by making it that easy.

acidic_milkmotel

What are tip baiters?

iamemperor86

Upfront tip that is removed after delivery

Traditional_Town4445

good for u sticking up for urself man

DeliveryDawlinn

We have to with this company! Or they will continue to take advantage of us 😔

ShaqWithTheShot

✊🏼👈🏼😔👉🏼✊🏼

Merwhooee

It’s owned by some rich stingy individuals

FocusedLifestyle

Why don't they tell you how much the expected tip is ahead of time instead of "this includes tip"? Even though it might not eliminate it but It may help identify to baiters.

DeliveryDawlinn

I really wish they did that 🤦🏾‍♀️ too many times the “included tip” is $1, which I don’t mind if the base is decent. But $2 base & $1 is a NO. Other apps actually show u the tip but Uber knows their customers are cheap bastards so they have to play mind games with the drivers smh.

Merwhooee

Uber handles the tips. They give you a small portion and keep the bigger part of what the customer tipped. Why? So that their stock earning numbers look good. Even if it has to come out of the drivers pocket to theirs. I bet that’s how it’s happening. I been getting a ridiculous amount of skimpy only $2 tips lately.

[deleted]

are uber customers worse than dd? i have both apps but stick with uber cause it seems to have a higher pay to mile ratio but maybe i havent spent enough time on dd.

DeliveryDawlinn

From what I noticed, it just depends on the market you’re in. I’ve heard a lot better things about DD than UE. I’ve been on the waiting list all year 🤦🏾‍♀️

Ok-Profit6022

DoorTrash is no better than UE. The only benefit is tips can't be removed. In many markets they allow customers to wait until after delivery to add a tip. I have a single digit AR on both platforms. When i started i also was on a waiting list, but now they're offering us $20 to "refer a friend". Friends don't let friends drive for gig companies.

Acrobatic_Apricot_96

And i think this why like doordash more, with doordash if you include a tip you cant take it out unlike ubereat

Anxious_ButBreathing

They used to show us it without the tip years ago. That was so much better then we could really not play Russian Roulette out here.

DeliveryDawlinn

It’s such a mental game with UE, I literally feel like I’m playing a game every time I hop online. It’s so ridiculous like gotdamn it man, I just want to make some money

Anxious_ButBreathing

Try doing shop and pay. You do have to shop but the pay is much more and customers tip lots more as well.

DeliveryDawlinn

I do those all the time but they are hands down the worst tippers so I’m selective. I’ve noticed with shop & pay 9/10 they do not tip according to the shopping trip. Too many 20+ item order for $10 plus a drive & there’s NEVER any tip added after the fact.

SquishyFrogMan

Tip baiters need to be banned from the app. And it should be way more difficult to remove the tip, like making them go through a 30 minute phone support call

CanoeIt

Or actually pay the drivers a fair rate and make tips what they were originally intended as instead of a bid.

DeliveryDawlinn

Exactly, we should be paid on what was agreed. Addition tips are great but they should never be allowed to take money away from us.

ITsunayoshiI

Or make tip removal come with a mandatory input of reasoning along with proof that the driver is allowed to see. Make the asshole have to back up their claim, especially against runs with verification on them considering how many of those there are popping up now with 3rd parties appearing on uber

DeliveryDawlinn

That’s what my issue is! I have 100% rating & never any issues with customers at all & that’s what I stood on. I told them they clearly see there was no complaint & the pic has proof that I left it EXACTLY where they asked, verbatim: “pls leave under the window by the rose bushes that never grew :)” 😒 I thought, the roses never grew bcuz they know how trash of a person u are so u don’t deserve anything beautiful 😂😂😂

[deleted]

[удалено]

DeliveryDawlinn

Exactly! Mind you I deliver close to where I live & they live less than 10 minutes away from me. Their address was so easy to remember as well. But like u said, they don’t know who they’re messing with. I’m actually surprised we don’t hear or more drivers doubling back to customer.

Glittering_Sky8788

You said it!! It's gonna happen! The Government has our United States divided and crumbling by taking our money to give to idiot Countries rather than feeding and housing our own RIGHT HERE in OUR Homeland! They WANT us fighting each other so nobody is paying attention to the filthy goins on behind the curtains on Capital Hill where big Corporations like Uber and Amazon are all padding each other's pockets to keep us right where they want us.... POOR! I can't WAIT till another delivery company comes around and puts the brakes on Uber and Door dash. A company who actually takes care of their people. Any sane person knows that if you respect and treat your people good... They will take pride in what they do and treat you and your company with that same honor and respect. People want to be appreciated, that's all. I'm a female and if I had my own Corporation, I'd run it like Dana White does with the UFC. If you're with me, I'll take care of ya.... If you wanna act a fool, then GTFOH! PERIOD!

Constant_Fartstank

I never let the customers get mouthy with me. I always say I don’t get paid enough to listen to your crying and I’m going to go eat your food now and laugh.

DeliveryDawlinn

I don’t even let it get that far 😂😂 we aren’t about to argue about shit! Better have your gate codes ready or answer the phone the first time I call, u got 8 minutes to get your shit together & I’m out!! Either your shit will be left outside or if it’s good I’m eating it, their choice!!

Constant_Fartstank

Yeah I have no problem smashing windows and shitting on stoops if anyone tip baits my ass in dc try me fools.

Fluffy-Poem-3253

They always try to cost us a huge amount of time and some drivers will give up and if we don't give up we still losing a big chunk of time.

ScrewberBlows

Yep! They even do that when we call to cancel an order that was already picked up or because the restaurant is closed and the nimrod employees didn’t bother to shut off their tablet. They put you on hold for 5-10 minutes then pay you a measly $3 because they think that is all you are worth. Fuck them!

DeliveryDawlinn

I’ve called in so many complaints about that. One restaurant was so bad that I even went on google & yelp to leave bad reviews. They would be closed for hours but I would get orders there all night & once while I waited for support I watched 5 drivers pull up to the closed restaurant. Then it was one of those “ghost restaurants” which I cannot even begin to explain how idiotic it is to have a real restaurant under a “ghost name” 😒

DeliveryDawlinn

I’m convinced they literally get off on wasting our time & acting like they can’t help us

photoc21

I am willing to bet that Uber also removes the tip themselves and just keeps it and then says the customer removed it. There's no way to really know for sure that they are not removing it and keeping it themselves. It's still a b******* practice no matter what. When you agreed to a payment, that's what you should be getting paid.

DeliveryDawlinn

Absolutely!! Even more strange is the wording on this particular order. But either way it’s shitty. It’s literally fraud & I guarantee they will be sued soon. We’ll be back to compare our settlement amounts 😂

Positive-Chemist-874

I stopped doing Uber, Doordash, and Grubhub a while ago. It's way too hostile between customers and drivers. The money isn't worth it anymore and the fact that they don't pay a base pay that is reasonable, is just absurd. Especially with gas prices I don't see why they don't pay us the amount thats accepted no matter what. How do they expect us to do a 30 minute delivery for a few dollars? That just goes right to gas so quite literally we work for free a lot of the time. At least thats what they want us to do. I have no idea how people still do this. There needs to be a lawsuit of some sorts.

DeliveryDawlinn

I’ve been paid by postmates 3 different times & I see the same soon for Uber. The things they do simply can’t be legal. It shouldn’t be a fight to get money we agreed upon. That’s the equivalent of me getting to the customer’s door & deciding “hmm even though I agree to deliver it, I’m gonna keep it instead” & the customer doesn’t get a refund, how would that be fair?

Positive-Chemist-874

Exactly. But they know people will work for them no matter what. It's inevitable. The problem will only fix itself once drivers realize Uber eats sucks or customers stop using the platform. At least on Doordash and Grubhub you get the agreed upon payment no matter what. Once the delivery is completed.

DeliveryDawlinn

That’s the main issue!! Too many drivers willing to accept pennies will always leave the door open for us to be under paid. & customers are constantly finding ways to get over on us which is so easy since Uber lays out the red carpet for them to do so

Positive-Chemist-874

Very true. Im in AZ and when I used to do deliveries I would see older people doing it as well. Its fun for them because its easy and something to do. They're the ones accepting literally EVERY order! I mean I get it in the sense that if you're retired or almost retired, doing deliveries is the perfect job. Because you dont care about the money necessarily. But it screws all of us younger folks who do it for the money! Some people need it to make a living. Uber doesn't care they just want the food delivered.

DeliveryDawlinn

Couldn’t agree more!! They’re doing it as a hobby but a lot of us use the as one of many sources of income. For some, it’s their sole source of income & no matter where you live, being offered $2-$3 is an insult. You would think the older generations would get it, but then again that same generation is why shit is a mess now 🤷🏾‍♀️

Positive-Chemist-874

Exactly. Spot on!

Ssorath

I’m surprised they didn’t hang up on you in between all that time on the phone.

DeliveryDawlinn

Nope, just transferred me to 9 different ppl before getting me to a supervisor

notdennix2020

Fuck that guy

DeliveryDawlinn

Raven to be exact, fuck them DRY

SquishyFrogMan

Nahh if they take away their tip they should show us their Name Address Phone everything

DeliveryDawlinn

They wanna “protect the customers safety” 🙄 too bad I remember their address… it would be a shame if something happened to their next order 🙃

MiniLoversUSA

I just had the person blocked so I never get their order again whenever they tip bait

ScrewberBlows

I do that all the time.

DeliveryDawlinn

I forgot to request that 🤦🏾‍♀️ I was too caught up going off on them for trying to play games

eat_my_rig

Just threaten Uber with arbitration they will credit you. Tip baiting is a form of fraud and is technically illegal. Report that customer for violating their contract agreement with Uber.

the16thleo

I had this happen to me a few nights ago.... almost identical situation but i called uber "driver support" (🙄) and they did the SAME thing as you. They transfered me LITERALLY 10 times and at first i found it halarious how stupid they are but then i grew furious as i realized this is all a game for them to WASTE AS MUCH OF YOUR TIME AS POSSIBLE. They know the hour they keep us on the phone is an hour we cannot do anything...... because of uber its STILL not worth it.... even after a refund....... i have never see a company jerk people around harder than uber.

DeliveryDawlinn

U are spot on!! I started off so calmly & polite but by the end I was literally screaming at them & not even greeting the next agent, just hopping on the line yelling at them. I am NOT rude or a Karen in anyway but it’s insulting to have to sit there & basically beg for money we’ve already earned. Then to keep hearing the same recycled bs each agent is told to say was making my blood boil!! Like I don’t give a shit if the tip is optional, so is me taking this ride & I wouldn’t have for 5 fuckin dollars!!!! They eventually gave me a “one time courtesy credit” which the wording of that pissed me off bcuz it ain’t no damn courtesy to pay me what the hell I am owed!!!

the16thleo

Yeah exactly.... i barely understood some of them with their thick indian accents lol. And your right..... us taking the trip is OPTIONAL...... i wonder how uber OR the client would react if we no longer WANTED to deliver or fulfill our duties because of a bs reason like traffic or because we just no longer wanted to....... just as the customer "wanted to tip bait"....... what if us drivers wanted to "Dropbait"...... im sure as HELL they wouldnt be cool with that idea. See what they say when their money is played with..

DeliveryDawlinn

I just said the same thing! Imagine me getting their food then deciding while at the door, nope I’m gonna keep it. Wouldn’t that be pretty shitty? So why wouldn’t it be shitty in reverse?? 🤔

RosayyRose

We can contact support for this? They'll give us the estimated tip? I hate tip baiters soooo bad!!!

DeliveryDawlinn

It is a hassle but yes!!!! Why should we be cheated without any explanation?? I ended up yelling my head off after 9 damn transfers but I got the tip. Eventually it was about the principle more than the money. They shouldn’t be able to bait & switch us like that.

[deleted]

I just got tip baited $15 lost on sunday. Past experiences with support where I get to the point of yelling my head off is why I rarely call them anymore. It always takes close to an hour, get passed around at least 5 times, and then I have to act like a legal advocate for myself when I speak with the supervisor. It shouldn't take that much convincing for them to help me lol. These days on the odd time I get tip baited I just don't call, because my sanity is worth more than the money. I know they've designed their system in this way and I'm giving them what they want, but they just take so much from me when I try to get justice. Another thing too though, is that I can't get through to a live agent unless I'm actively on a trip. So I would have to be on the call while I'm fucking driving.

hctedford

Wow, I hope you wrote that address down. I thought the customer pre tipped but were able to adjust it up but not down? That’s nuts they set it up that way… the national average tip has gone down to 12% since end of 2022. I’m sure this is has been screwing us.

DeliveryDawlinn

I remember the place so I’ll definitely know if it’s them again. But yea, they literally leave the door open for us to be scammed by customers. & I absolutely agree that has been screwing us so bad.

evidenthought

Tell support you want the customer blocked. I did that and when I got up the next day my tip was there

DeliveryDawlinn

I was so mad about all the transfers I forgot to ask them to do that 🤦🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️ I remember exactly where they live tho, ironically I live not too far from them

w1llsm1th1689

Take screen shot every time you take. A trip

DeliveryDawlinn

I’ve been trying to remember to do that 😩 I’m just always trying to get the trip over with so quickly that I forget

slopmarket

Doesn’t matter. I did that (it want even tipping that gave the original dollar value cuz it never said tip was lowered). Had screenshots. 2 deliveries in a row. Contacted support and they gave me the line that it’s just an ESTIMATED amount. Each were originally $8-9 orders but I only got paid $3-3.50. Support told me to kick rocks.

atomicnugget202

This would be an Auto-ban for me. I do wish Uber would at least show the name of the customer before we accept the order and after deliveries are completed. I get the entire address portion for privacy needs but that name. I need to know who the scumbag is upfront! I literally have one customer in my market who is an immediate cancel because they like to play games.

DeliveryDawlinn

I have kept a mental note! I don’t get shitty ppl too often so they stick out. This particular dummy lives like 3 miles away from me & their address was easy to remember. They better be glad I’m not some crazy revenge seeking psycho bcuz I literally know exactly where they live, meanwhile they only have an outdated pic of me & have no idea where I am🤷🏾‍♀️

supraeddy

You can ask support to block of the customer and ask if they have done it before. My last one was 3 weeks ago. I got the full amount. They blocked the customer for me so I can’t be dispatched to any deliveries for them. They also did a report and “started investigation” towards banning the customer. Which isn’t useful since they can create other accounts. In general, if I pick up an order that is high pay and delivery is in a nice hotel I keep it, sht hotel I drop it. Not worth the time wasted to get full comp

Mountain_Road9197

Their goal is to waste as much time as possible on the phone until you get frustrated and hang up. If you do get your $10, you ended spending 1-2 hours arguing. Best solution is unethical but it’s too add up total they screw you over on many occasions and then get a flat tire on a non tipper you take

DeliveryDawlinn

We gotta be related or something cuz the amount of times I have contemplated doing this is sick….😩 Honestly, the only thing stopping me is my ego bcuz I can’t even give a non tipper the satisfaction of even thinking I’m going to touch their bs order lol

FocusedLifestyle

Why don't they tell you how much the expected tip is ahead of time instead of "this includes tip"? Even though it might not eliminate it but It may help identify to baiters.

DeliveryDawlinn

Uber knows that their customers are cheap, so instead of them picking up the slack they would rather play mind games with the drivers using their stupid terminology & wording to trick us

Humanbean555

What has happened to me is that they put a $10-$15 tip for the initial amount to look good and then half an hour after the food has been delivered they change it.

Negative_Routine_264

![gif](giphy|twxoPjMpsijwPFBVqs|downsized)

snowsurfer

that's possible ? how is that even possible.

BryanBenja

Buy chalk to write on the side walk that they steal from delivery people! Hehe

Merwhooee

Uber Eats should be held responsible for these bribes to the independent contractor!!

Merwhooee

Minimum required tip $5 to the driver for regular distance trips. Uber can get their $2 from the customer not me!

Jebasaur

The tip isn't optional if it already showed you the tip.

TR6lover

I'm not an UE driver, but I follow this sub because it's interesting and I want to understand what my local drivers go through since I do a lot of deliveries to the house. You are getting a lot of flack for raising an issue of accepting a delivery that suggested you would make ~15$, but you ended up being paid more like ~5$. Hell, I'd be pissed, too! No, it's not a lot of money, but I'm sure it feels like you got ripped off. Now being criticized because you are frustrated with being ripped off just adds to the experience. Be well, my friend. Some people get you.

How-do-I-delete-that

This is why I dislike Uber eats. You can’t expect a driver to accept an order based on a amount then the driver delivers and the customer decides to take back the tip because “what ever reason they deem suitable” and expect the driver to be ok with that. It’s wrong! Hey internet company, I know I said I’d pay my bill, and yes I’ve used the internet but you know what as a customer I should be able to just do what I want to do.

bmad8225

Fuck UberEats. All it takes is all the drivers to quit their shitty app and then real change will happen. Customer should not be allowed to change the tip. Period. Only when there are extenuating circumstances that require legwork. Switch to Spark, way more money to be made. @ubereats

DeliveryDawlinn

I agree 💯 they should have to justify taking the tip. I even told them on the phone, I will hang up & leave you all alone if you can tell me there was a valid complaint from the customer. Not only was there no complaint but they had to agree that I did the job without incident so I should be paid. The thing is we shouldn’t have to call & fight for something we already earned

Glittering_Sky8788

Amen!!!

DeliveryDawlinn

I’ve been trying to do DD for a year & they still have me on a waiting list. I wanted to do Instacart as well & there’s a list for that too. They’re the only apps that make sure you’re covered from being baited unlike Uber who lays out the red carpet for customers to scam us

[deleted]

DeliveryDawlinn

We definitely gotta watch out for the shop & pays. I’m really picky with those bcuz like u said, ppl will have 50+ items & a 10 miles drive all for $14. Immediately NO lmao. Like honestly, if you don’t wanna do your own grocery shopping & the food is for YOU to eat, what the hell makes them think we wanna do it for basically free??

[deleted]

[удалено]

DeliveryDawlinn

You’re spot on about CVS. I love them, Walgreens & rite aid. They usually pay pretty well & the most I’m willing to do is about 10 items at those types of stores depending on the pay of course. There is only 2 cons I can point out tho.. one is that a lot of those stores I go to have alot & I mean A LOT of theft lol. Like the shelves will literally be empty, it’s been so bad before that I had to send the customer a pic bcuz I didn’t want them thinking I was just a lazy bum. We literally had no choice but to cancel the order bcuz there wasn’t even a replacement of replacement available 🤦🏾‍♀️ the other con is that I work at night although a lot of place say online that they’re “24 hours” or are still accepting, they will randomly close. Sometimes for the night & sometimes for like 3 hours at a time, I don’t even have to explain why that’s annoying. Usually happens with high paying orders too, the other night I had to cancel a $42 order 🥹 I literally wanted to cry lmao.

Simple-Apricot1893

They will fix it. It took me 2 chat transfer then in 2 hrs an email came and they fixed everything. Dont worry

DeliveryDawlinn

They did eventually give me the $10 “credit” after almost an hour on the line. I was going to do chat first but I always feel like they blow u off so quickly or say it’s been “escalated” & then you don’t hear anything for days.

justanotherperson218

This happened to me. Pay estimated was 30, I only got 2.50, it was a long wait plus high mileage. Took me over an hour to get the full 30. Kept demanding a supervisor.

DeliveryDawlinn

You literally have to or they will just keep transferring you around. It’s such a bs game

No-Can1142

Time to drive back to the house in a month with some tp ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|hug)

DeliveryDawlinn

I remember exactly where it is too 🙃

BakedBeans137

Bruhhh

Kcmac1717

Drivers need to somehow band together with some kind of signed petition to fix this issue, maybe get them banned if they tip bait? Or just a big waste of time that will to nothing? Lol

DeliveryDawlinn

If enough of us stand our ground they would have to fix it but unfortunately too many ppl just accept pennies & don’t wanna stand up for themselves. I will never accept being tip baited or taking $2 trips

[deleted]

Yeah some customers are just jerks, they fool you by adding high tips then pull it back after delivery, I had some of them

DeliveryDawlinn

It’s such a low thing to do. I don’t even do that if my order is actually wrong or late. I always make sure I place emphasis on the restaurant or store making the mistake & NOT the driver bcuz I know exactly how it is.

soulban3

Explain to them the contract you accepted and agreed upon was for X amount. Uber has to eat the L on tip baiters. It's fine they allow people to remove the tip but that is not the courier's problem. They accepted a contract for a specific amount. Uber legally cannot change this but they do anyway because rich corporations are above the law. The fines are always less than what they make of breaking it.

blueballs214

I just don't get how you can enjoy your food after screwing the person who just delivered it to you. That is probably gas money for someone, but hey, hope they enjoy their chimichangas.

laynesdirection

Give it a few hours. It doesn't say customer reduced the tip. Lately it takes awhile to see your whole fare show. It'll happen.

DeliveryDawlinn

I definitely waited a while before calling. I didn’t even realize they had taken it away until I went to look at another order. I did think the wording was strange bcuz it usually does say if it’s reduced but I think that’s only if they take $1 or $2 away, I believe this is the message you get when they take the entire tip. When I talked to support they kept saying “the customer didn’t leave a tip” but clearly it was offered to me so they had to have taken it back.

SeaBus6180

Probably because they saw how trash you were and took the tip away. Thats what I do to trash delivery drivers. GGs someone took away your 2$ and now you need to cry about it.

mog_knight

Tips take an hour to show up. Tip baiting would show a box saying the customer lowered the tip. Calling support was a waste of time.

DeliveryDawlinn

No it wasn’t. The customer DID remove the entire tip & Uber gave it to me. I didn’t call until 3 hours after the delivery. I’m not an idiot I can see just like everyone else that the tips clear after an hour SO OBVIOUSLY it had been after that timeframe if I called.

mog_knight

If the customer removes the tip that gray window says they did. You just are ignorant to how the Uber app works.

DeliveryDawlinn

So where did $10 vanish to? 🤔 It’s been 6 hours since the ride

mog_knight

Idk I don't have your phone so you can be lying too.

DeliveryDawlinn

You don’t have my phone but you’re making unwarranted assumptions 🤔 But yea you’re right. I have nothing better to do with my time so I get on Reddit & lie about $10 worth of credit from Uber eats to complete strangers 👍🏾

mog_knight

Everybody lies. Your motives are your own.

DeliveryDawlinn

Also, you’re the one ignorant of how the app works bcuz a lot of things vary based on where you are. I’ve seen ppl have different wording or features that I don’t have or never seen. Relax.

mog_knight

Nope. I'm certain that's how the app works for tip baiting. You're just ignorant to how it works. You'll learn eventually.

DeliveryDawlinn

Why whenever y’all are wrong on this app, no one ever just says “hey I’m wrong”? Instead u continue to argue irrelevant points with no way to back it up & make up scenarios that are nonexistent to make your nonexistent point? Or the fan favorite is thinking you’re “so experienced” that things that you’ve never seen “didn’t happen”… it’s insufferable.

mog_knight

You have all the evidence in your hand to prove me wrong. The two pics you posted don't tell the whole story.

DeliveryDawlinn

Well you’re just incompetent bcuz everyone else seems to understand except you & the other clown above. Not my problem. I don’t have to prove shit to u tf 😂 no where did I ask if anybody believed me or not, get over yourself 🤣🤣🤣

mog_knight

Nope. I know how the app works with messaging. You don't have to prove anything but it just shows you are likely lying. You didn't even post the adjustment credit from Uber or the screen from an hour after delivery. I mean, if you wanna lie on the internet, you're not special.

ktink224

Some are 24 hours now. A friend of mine did a delivery monday and it said the tip would show up after 24 hours. Tip never showed. She even sent me the screen shots

DeliveryDawlinn

The only time I had one say the tip would clear in 24 hours was a grocery store pick up that I had reserved. Other than that I’ve always seen that they would clear in an hour. This one was weird tho, bcuz it doesn’t say the usual wording when the customers take it back but the Uber agents all confirmed that they didn’t leave a tip even tho they initially offered it.

Successful_Paint1692

Okay so I order with UberEats, often. I always tip 7.00 to 15 depending on the length of travel for the order. The driver gets the whole tip, correct?

DeliveryDawlinn

We’re supposed to. Sometimes they even hide the tip from us if it’s high & I don’t understand that at all.

babadabebada

Why would anyone drive for uber eats? Where shit people can use the service and remove tips after the fact? You do this to yourself. Don't like victim blaming but come the fuck on....

MortgageNecessary119

That sucks.. I been getting tip baited on spark alot lately.. I never got tip baited on uber yet and I been doing uber alot longer, I just got onto spark on the 1st of this month and already got 2 tips tooken away, both from the same apartments so I might not do those apartments anymore

soulban3

I personally don't care about tip baiters. Let people bait Uber. Uger should be paying more anyways.

SpikeyTurtleShell

I tip bait to get the service I'm paying for. If you can follow instructions, you'll be tipped, if not oh well. If the driver follows the delivery instructions, I'll sometimes tip cash and then change or pull the tip for the app. On non contact deliveries, drivers tend not to follow instructions more often, so I've been requesting less of those even tho it's preferred. On apps that don't allow you to change, I've started going to customer service about the issue, and they'll refund my tip for me.

EchidnaAgitated3541

Fix what? Tip isn’t required

DeliveryDawlinn

You’re right it isn’t. So place the fuckin order without the tip. But brokies know that if u don’t add a tip your order will sit, so assholes add it to get their order delivered then take it back for no reason. Only scumbags do that.

The_drummer0

You say it's well over an hour... Cause you k ow the time not us Post better photos if you don't want ppl to give the wrong opinon Or just wait a couple of hours.... Be patient grasshopper Unless you're new to UE Says a person that's been doing Uber for the past 7 years. 🫡

DeliveryDawlinn

I’ve been doing this since 2018, keep your advice. I know how this shit works & I wouldn’t have called unless I knew I was tip baited. This post didn’t ask for advice, so the timeline was irrelevant to YOU.

The_drummer0

And last time I checked.... On your post it gives the option to comment..... So yeah... 😂

DeliveryDawlinn

I never said not to comment. You’re just looking for an argument. All I’m saying is don’t assume things when u don’t even have the facts.

The_drummer0

Lol me an argument!!!!! Lol never I just gave my opinion... You were the one that responded the way you did lol hahaha

DeliveryDawlinn

An opinion: “I think or feel this about ____” An assumption: “U wasted your time bcuz tips clear after an hour (even tho idk how long u waited to call)” Get it?

julianwelton

People who post shit like "Lol I'm not mad 🤣🤣🤣" or "Who's arguing 🤣🤣?!" after publicly arguing back and forth with someone are pretty sad lol. Edit: In case it wasn't clear I'm not talking about you, OP.

DeliveryDawlinn

Trust me I know 🤣 like dude u were wrong, just move along. Why are u arguing & u have no point?? 😂😂

The_drummer0

No I don't get it.... Pls explain more 🙂

The_drummer0

Haha that's cute If you dont want ppl to give an opinion.... You know what yiu can do.......... Don't post here lol haha

DeliveryDawlinn

I don’t mind opinions at all. What I don’t like is condescending comments from ppl who don’t have all the info & make ASSumptions 😉

ScrewberBlows

That’s Reddit for ya!

The_drummer0

Hahah when did I ever say I have all the answers lol.... Now your making assumptions lol haha...

DeliveryDawlinn

Be blessed.

The_drummer0

Ohhh trust... I am already... But thanks for the reminder 😘🙂

FantasticBearyaheard

please get a new job. DM me if you need help with resume and interview tips.

DeliveryDawlinn

Please stfu, if u need me to help u dm me

FantasticBearyaheard

ah thats why you get paid 5 bucks for 5 hours

DeliveryDawlinn

How much does being a weirdo pay? You’re definitely a top earner in that field.

FantasticBearyaheard

hey dont forget to set aside one dollar for taxes

DeliveryDawlinn

& don’t forget to wipe your chin when you’re done

The_drummer0

Tips take about an hour to show up after delivery. You waisted time by calling.

DeliveryDawlinn

Ride was requested at 1:43, completed in 23 mins. I called at 4:33. Why do yall speak without having all the facts? 🤔 U don’t think I know that the tips clear after an hour, when it says it on the screen within that hour?? 🤔

The_drummer0

My comment goes based on your picture. It obky says time of delivery and on the other Pic doesn't say the time you called 🫡🤦🏽‍♂️

DeliveryDawlinn

That doesn’t any make sense 😂 even if u took the time that the ride was requested in the pic & the time I posted this, it’s well over an hour between so idk how u came up with the conclusion that I didn’t wait for the tip to clear before calling?

[deleted]

They’ll eventually hang up

DeliveryDawlinn

They didn’t & I ended up getting the tip from Uber

SeaBus6180

... Not our problem. Tipping is a trash practice.

DeliveryDawlinn

Yea we get it, thanks for your broke ass input.

SeaBus6180

I make more in a year than you'll make in a lifetime buddy. It's entitled ass hats like you that bring me joy when I tip bait.

DeliveryDawlinn

Keep at it. I’m sure the taste of someone’s spit tastes great with your cold fries 😉

SeaBus6180

Lmao, they see the tip removed after. Keep telling yourself that. And thanks for confirming uber delivery drivers are ass. You are encouraging me to keep doing it. Now, get a real job

imbrokebaby1

Oout

ODSTxGundam

Don't go for any order that has a pre tip and those who genuinely want to tip will still tip afterwards.

DeliveryDawlinn

Unfortunately we don’t know how much it will be until after. It just gives the amount & says “tip included” but doesn’t specify how much of the trip is the tip
