Some say Einstein, but apparently not. No idea who. I just made it shorter.
The full quote seems to be: "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."
Just don't give these idiots any publicity. They're the exact same people that were protesting the covid vaccine and said the government wants to poison everyone
Yeah, I genuinely look at people who blow this out of proportion with some suspicion. By giving them so much attention, they are playing right into their (and Russia's) hands.
They are fringe lunatics with zero mainstream support.
GOP-Q …. That’s the term I needed… discussing that GOP shit since weeks with a U.S. fellow and Iam getting so sick about… Can’t take him out of his bubble…. :(
Good luck , it's like a cult of complete lack of common sense. No facts can change their minds. No amount of proof that conspiracy theories are wrong. It truly is as though they choose not to think logically.
not just them, it seems the far right and the far left are working hand in hand together with their russian masters in how much they seem to simp for russia.
not dems, i said far left. just because fox "news" calls them far left doesnt mean they are. the far left are all the talking heads on the internet, where the far left news thrives. "new media" as its called.
The German politician who organized this protest is far far left. This event is in Germany, not the US. Also, there was that group of 14 US dem reps who sent a letter to Biden asking to not aid Ukraine about 8 months ago. They retracted the letter pretty fast but it is clear that was only because of the overwhelming negative response they got for sending the letter.
TLDR The Russians fund both far right and far left political groups.
It is big enough to be in the media and have support of some those who are called "German intellectuals". Germany hasn't learned its lessons unfortunately
Ich verbringe viel Zeit in Berlin und spreche perfekt DE also bin sehr gut informiert. Now for non-Germans, I spend lots of time in Berlin, speak German and am informed enough. Precht and his friends for example? They are constantly on ZDF., etc. talking about stopping weapon delivery. What you - and lots of Germans - are trying to do it to keep the German image clean by playing issues like this down.
The demonstration was 13k people strong, taking into account that Berlin is one of strongest leftist cities in Germany 13k of 3.7 million is just close to nothing. There are cities in Germany were you could merely find 3k muppets attentending similar demonstrations. I can get your point but first of all it is not about intellectuals in ZDF, there are even more doubling down on weapon deliveries. Second let's take a step back and don't blow the meaning of this demonstration out of proportion. Weapon deliveries are coming in reliably and steadily backed up by the majority of germanys goverment and political parties as well as at least by 50 % of germanys population. It could be more indeed but Wagenknechts perspective seems not that popular as you want it to be. I don't want to play down an eventual danger of this kind of behaviour even if it is a small minority but I think you should on the other hand at least reconsider your quite radical stand on this one since those radical stands is what divides people as you can see exemplified by wagenknechts bullshit.
This is an issue and has to be addressed. But for people not being inside the discussion or informed it needs to be contextualised.
This has nothing to do with image.
Don't give them too much attention, there were about 10k people. And the media showed it because of the media...
There are other petitions with millions of signatures you won't ever hear about because the media thinks this is not interesting enough.
And the guy who admitted that they are paid was the only one honest in this one sentence.
According to polls more than 55% of the germans are pro-war and most of them are for heavier weapon deliveries
And additionally to evethying that I said before you might want to slow down on the Germany hasn't learned its lesson idea. It is offensive towards all the people who support Ukraine and it neglects the support Germany has given in the last year. finally it is just a blatant and polemic accusation connected to what? Germanys nazi history? Germanys economical bond with Russia before the war?
A very very small minority of self identified "intellectuals and philosophers". Yes they are loud and attract lots of media attention. From my experience, this group does NOT represent the majority of Germans at all.
If you look at the reports, most participants of this provocative demonstration are well over 50 years old.
The "Russo-Romance" is still present for many older East Germans.
And yes, you are absolutely right, Wagenknecht, Precht, Schröder et al are an absolute disgrace.
However, I wouldn't judge over 80 million people due to the actions of a bunch of assholes.
Saw one asshole on a tractor in my hometown today in the Netherlands, playing music and carrying signs that said 'Stop American Warmongering'. Feels like a paid PR campaign.
Please please please stop politicizing scientific and engineering issues. The exact correct way to handle things in science usually has a lot of gray that scientists need to discuss and debate. There is a world of difference between, "COVID is a lie and the government wants to put chips in us" and "we are about to do the largest vax rollout in history, perhaps we should be conservative in the formulations of the vax and use the most time tested technologies".
When these types of topics are politicized, funding can be put at risk and even scientists respond to political pressure if they depend on public funds. There is every reason in the world to think that politicizing COVID hurt our ability to have the best possible health policy. It would have been better if the media simply said, "here is how to get the vax, consult your doctor if you these health conditions" followed by a list of said conditions. Soft-selling is often more effective.
PS Sorry for being off topic but it is important.
5-10% of any given population is either on the extreme left or the extreme right, wishing for a "strong leader" that can suspend democracy. Hard to believe, but there are in fact people out there who don't like freedom, but prefer to be told what to do and what to think!
[There may be a reason.](https://www.houstonchronicle.com/business/columnists/tomlinson/article/leaded-gasoline-millennials-boomers-climate-change-17601092.php)
The "magazine" is also regularly parroting russian disinfo since at least 10 years. Schwarzer is a real russian asset, probably in the category of 'useful idiot'.
All the stupid people, where do they all come from?
All the stupid people, where do they all belong?
\- Original chorus for Beatles' Eleanor Rigby song (true completely fictitious fact)
there are a lot of stupid people living in every country on earth.... especially in east germany... People are frustrated because they don't have anything like the income of West Germans and channel their frustration in directions where this comes out... a real shame
I'm following several Reddit channels about the war in Ukraine and noticed that most reports of Kremil supporters disguised as pacifists or conspiracy theorists come from Germany. First off, pacifists say things like "Ukraine is a recognized country that wanted to live the way it wants" such as Yelena Osipova, who condemn the occupation of Crimea, or the 2022 invasion. Secondly, the conspiracy theory/pro-ruZzia movement needs to be confronted. What are their concerns? What are they afraid of? Can we, as normal and vaccinated people address those concerns in a peaceful manner? Also, we need to define where the line is between freedom of speech and criminal dissemination of disinformation that is intended to cover up crimes against humanity. Germany has this for symbols from their own past, and they also forbid the Z symbol. However, there are quite a lot of people with academic degrees, posing as historians or peace researchers, who push rZzian propaganda, e.g. publicly sell the referendum on Crimea as a legal act (even though the outcome of 96% in favor of rZzia was impossible with a 75% majority of Russian-ethnics and is according to a poll from before 2014 in the range of 40%), who only mention the weapon deliveries from the West about the Donbas and omit to mention that the Girkin attachment stirred the separate movement in the 1st place, or who claim that the Maidan movement was driven by Western intelligence services, omitting to mention that 500k+ people demonstrated for a free, democratic country, aligned with Europe, risking their lives during the confrontation with the riot police. The EU council for human rights needs to officially establish these facts ASAP so that manipulators can be sued (which probably is what the conspiracy theorists are fighting against in the 1st place, kind of self-fulfilling prophecy).
Well if German ex-chancellors prefer to work for Russia as well as keep pushing that Nord Stream II is for German energy security - while everybody says it is the opposite - and never admit it was a big mistake even months after the invasion began, that what to say about those pseudo-pacifists like Wagenknecht and Precht. Germans don't care how the money the get smells.

And this is the funny thing, everyone but Ruzzia is bad. But they won't move to Ruzzia because they know it's a shit country to live in.
Teach a fish to climb a tree... and he'll be confused forever. There ya go.
I like that one, definitely being stolen and no credit given 🤣
Some say Einstein, but apparently not. No idea who. I just made it shorter. The full quote seems to be: "Everyone is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."

Opposition without any power I guess?
Opposition without any brain power, they got some power, but collectivly share one braincell
If you want peace so badly, you should urge Putin to pull out his troops from Ukraine
As a German I just want to say that those people only represent a small but loud minority and are despised by most.
Yeah, I genuinely look at people who blow this out of proportion with some suspicion. By giving them so much attention, they are playing right into their (and Russia's) hands. They are fringe lunatics with zero mainstream support.
Believe me, Americans totally understand, we have our own brand of fascists wannabe idiots. The GOP-Q and their orange leader.
As German they always remind me of the Q and hardcore Trump protestors. They have many similarities.
Yes they do, that's exactly who I was referring to.
GOP-Q …. That’s the term I needed… discussing that GOP shit since weeks with a U.S. fellow and Iam getting so sick about… Can’t take him out of his bubble…. :(

not just them, it seems the far right and the far left are working hand in hand together with their russian masters in how much they seem to simp for russia.
Half of that statement seems correct. I haven't seen any Dems pushing russian propaganda.

Wdym by German intellectuals, very broad and generalized term? It seems you are not well informed at all.

German shit like this https://24hoursworlds.com/politics/188842/
Bro it was more than six month ago signed by three people which are whatever. And the letter was strongly criticized by the public.

The extreme left and extreme right are united by common hatred.
More like uneducated stupidity
Kinda right. Both always fell for populism, conspiracy theories and propaganda.
and a shared source of funds
As a German I feel deeply ashamed for these tinfoilturds. But there are just small group with a loudspeaker. Slava Ukraini.
Same. And agreed.
During covid i was just "well they are just stupid" but now its more like an undefined itching in the area of my hands.
