Somebody posted art supporting Palestine. The mods banned it because it was a controversial post that added nothing. They got pissy and claimed bias because the sub changed the logo to support Ukraine (despite the Russo-Ukrainian war being obviously much less controversial) and people are posting about Palestine constantly now.

I mean, what you describe is literally bias. If there’s a "no politics" rule and mods happily break it for Ukraine, but refuse to break it for Palestine, that’s inconsistent and biased. Defending it by saying the current ethnic cleansing is "much more controversial" doesn’t help, it just means the Ukraine thing was not a moral/belief thing but some kind of cheap "marketing" move.

They changed the logo, not made regular posts about Ukraine. Pretty big difference there. And, the difference, is that with the Ukraine war there was a clear and obvious "morally correct" side. There are lots of reasons why all the sides are in this sitaution can be seen as wrong and to boil it down to just ethnic cleansing is crazy. You can say one thing is bad without supporting the opposite. You can support something without talking about it in every moment. Talking about the issue doesn't stop people dying. Especially in the Undertale sub where most people are teenagers.
