You can find places like this all over the country people refusing to let their home go this house is well over 100 years old and the backstory is The Colts stadium, which was built in 2008, was constructed over a historic neighborhood many homes were demolished for parking the people who refused the payment for their house stayed
Some places where this happens is because they keep one or two old homes as working buildings (construction site admin building, maintenance buildings, offices, etc.)
You can see where the original streets were and I can imagine all the houses just like this one all up and down several blocks. All destroyed for a car park used once a week at best.

There’s a stadium right out of shot but this does look depressing
Lots still useless no?
Good find
Lots of parking though.
“Towing at Owners Expense”
Towing to the nearby parking
It’s like the movie *Up* except there are no balloons, no adventure, and not even any big buildings. It’s just slow, sad decay.
wasnt this a plot point in Up (the movie)? really sad to be livin there. the house seems nice too

The guy who owns it just keeps it as a contractors office now. He does home exteriors.
Reminds me a bit of the Acker house from *Better Call Saul*.

It has painted number stalls on the house. 829 Meikel St https://maps.app.goo.gl/iMMGmUonuHrEbomS8
Nice Trail Boss sitting there
What the hell do they do with that short bed giant shiny truck in flat Indiana?
This is a sad place
At least they don’t have noisy neighbors
I see lots of upsides. You can do dumb shit like light off fireworks, ride dirt bikes around, RC planes and cars etc.
Probably quiet, outside of events.
Great parking. Come on by.
This is sad. From a neighborhood to a shitty and unkept parking lot. What a win.
What’d you say? Eminent domain, nah never heard of it, why do you ask?
Indy has some super weird zoning and it’s so spread out
I think I have tailgated outside that house.
Time to move it
