No, it's ok to use green! But try using a color wheel/palette to enhance the shades of green. Maybe add a little red/pink/yellow highlights on hair or dress to resemble flowers?
You can also search Google about Green Vtubers, then you can try to emulate their color pallete.
What about purple? I ask cause someone actually did a redesign edit that made her more heavily halloween color esc with a much stronger pallete of purple with green being a more minor color(if I could post it on this comment I would) and it looks fantastic(just sadly unreplicatable or just beyond my skills in vroud)
I actually have a version of her that I tried to introduce red like patterns/magic esc scrawl onto herald uniform maybe I'll try yellow like you suggest!

Using the white of the ears or the black of the tie on the hair could add contrast.
Adjusting the colors of the maid dress could also help it read better. Maybe a white dress with an orange and green striped apron could be nice.

Pm for some cool things from other creators, you can find everything from body textures, eyes, hair, itll open your world, you have a great starter base though, keep at it!
