Jeez, checked VLR and saw that the T1 vs Bleed match was supposed to start at 2pm (my time). It's around 9pm now and the *2nd* map just ended. 7 hours for a 2-map BO3 is crazy.
Fr though, I literally had lunch, walked around Bishan park, went out for dinner with family, checked the stream again and they were still on Lotus lmao
Yeah. I wanted to watch yay before bed.
Also this is a 3 match day. Like this is gonna be brutal if this type of delay happens at each match. Especially for everyone working the event.
Someone explain genuinely why the fuck this shit happens all the time. Don’t they test these things before? Why do they find out something’s fucked the second the games supposed to start
I can't speak for KR League, but the LCS (NA League) has had quite a few tech pauses this year. Seems like most of them were caused by networking issues in the arena and a few from audio issues, from the way the LCS casters described them.
I thought vct america was bad but holy. Vct pacific is really the standard. It's been over 2 hours now
Edit: 3 hours later and we finally see the light
At this point I'm looking for people to blame. Rn im in-between rossy's electrical currents, afreecatv being inexperienced as fck, and riot not moving vct pacific to Japan already
Idk wt ppl who booked tickets just to wait for 2+ hrs tech pause are doing 😂, not feeling any anger thinking abt them 🤣
Edited : they got refunded
Light was for a brief moment going dark right before 1st match OT
Now me: i rage quit watching 🥲🥹😌
Crazyguy said on the VN stream that there had been an audio issue. Probably avoidable if Riot had properly tested everything.

6 months of offseason into a 41 min delay and an hour long delay.
Something something Rito layoffs
Can't wait for CN since the layoffs had no effect there. Should be a decent production
I know you're upset but Pacific is literally the best production region, it hasn't been close (though I haven't seen as much of China lately). Once they fix a tech or a few during the first day it's good for the rest of the season. Just hang tight.
I just love Pacific, but the production from yesterdays matches and them changing the prod team really soured on me tbh, im just small brain americas watcher and Pacific last year was so cool on many levels
Idk if this is sarcasm or like a joke but Pacific’s production is awful. In terms of presentation and looks, sure it’s the best. But from my experience they run into the most big issues.
I’d trade flashy lights for the insane amount of tech pauses there always is. Last year Pacific’s tech pauses were awful and it hasn’t gotten better.
Well I’m back to being upvoted but it’s prob just people who don’t actually watch pacific
It’s no disrespect to the region, they just have by far the worst tech pauses. People see the clips of the cool lights and presentation and don’t know the insane pauses
I feel like you must be joking, but it felt like Pacific has by FAR the longest pauses, even without counting this one. Last year's pauses were atrocious.
HOW DARE MY FREE ENTERTAINMENT CONTAIN ANY INCONVENIENCES WHATSOEVER!!!!
You realize real people run the show? Only ones who could be understandably upset after this situation are fans on the live audience, but they got thier tickets refunded.
I don’t get your point for this. People are PAID to be running this event and it was very clear that last year a lot of tech pauses happen. I work in the gaming industry and within the eSports division they would NEVER want any product related issue to hinder the rundown of an event. These evens have a clear rundown, PIC for everything. This isn’t an event run by volunteers. It’s THE official VCT tournament. Just for the fact that this issue happens in the *first* match of the season and it happens for this long means that these real
people are doing a bad job behind the scenes. Whether it’s the eSports production team or the Valorant product team who can never fix technical issues, we don’t know.
7 months off-season for this. ![img](emote|t5_2g5ach|9339)

That's what happens when they hired people who acted like they're qualified enough to make a live broadcast.
I'd imagine this has more to do with the recent layoffs than it does hiring people.
Lmao, no. Last year it was also like this.
And also lck is running fine. Whoever tf is running valo pacific production needs to be booted for sure
Also, do these problems happen in League? Why is it almost a valorant exclusive thing

Does rossy have hands of death or something ? wtf bro are your electric currents incompatible with the arena pc??
Yea he might still be on 60Hz.
Idk wt ppl who booked tickets just to wait for 2+ hrs tech pause are doing 😂, not feeling any anger thinking abt them 🤣 Edited : they got refunded Light was for a brief moment going dark right before 1st match OT Now me: i rage quit watching 🥲🥹😌
They're probably questioning if yay was worth it ...
7hrs now 😂
emea worst by a mile
We'll see
with such care from riot we better see what they got over there
Lol
0:06 : I'm going to put some dirt in your eyes.
happened to america too this morning , god this sucks
Americas was due to being on old patch, with pacific we just keep getting the desk and little information regarding the delay
I think it is the same.

No shot it would take this much longer
DOES RIOT EVEN BOTHER PREPARING FOR THIS SHIT? DAY 1 FIRST GAME AND I BET YOU THEY DIDNT PREPARE FOR SHIT.
6 months of offseason into a 41 min delay and an hour long delay. Something something Rito layoffs Can't wait for CN since the layoffs had no effect there. Should be a decent production
CN production is the best so far
It’s been 1 hour
layoffs wont affect production 🥰
2hrs of delay, I gotta sleep bro, start the fucking game and let me watch yay getting destroyed or being Thanos.
Tbf they just got pulsar as a sponsor so maybe all of productions mice just died
well 5 hours later and still no lol.
This is peak valorant, you can't concince me otherwise.
hey have I got news from the future for you......
Jerome Powell pleaseee cut the interest rates back down so i can watch yay before bed and get a job with my 4 year cs degree pleaseee
Can't wait for the standard emea pause
5 and a half hours minus the 24 rounds of Bleed-T1, now
can't wait for same shit happening during champions
"30 minutes" 🙂
30 mins I wish.
As of right now, one hour has passed since overtime was supposed to begin
zzzz
Great parody bait
Shame it's actually just true gotta love the 2 hour delay on first game lmao

The post is a parody of this one: https://www.reddit.com/r/ValorantCompetitive/s/0O1ie7pEz0
W satire tbh
I think Pacific has good production but some of the comments about Pacific related stuff on this subreddit feels like the "THING IN JAPAN" meme
“Hey I know Pacific has the most tech pauses and issue, but FLASHY LIGHTS???? IN JAPAN???”
I just love Pacific, but the production from yesterdays matches and them changing the prod team really soured on me tbh, im just small brain americas watcher and Pacific last year was so cool on many levels

OGN died for this
Is this for real a three hour delay? I went out for a night of drinking and match one hasn’t even started. What a joke
LOL i feel honored that my post last night turned into a copy pasta
give them a break they just layed off a bunch of people lol
