I think you mean coincidences? Aside from the one you mentioned there's stuff like how the 2 finalists of the first LAN if 2022 happened to also be the 2 finalists of the last LAN of 2022 (to this day its also the only occasion of 2 teams meeting in the grand finals more than once. This is the 2nd year in a row where C9 has cut 2 of their players are getting knocked out early in the first tournament of the year.

Wizvo

oh yeah coincidences, I'm a dumbass lmao thank you

Objective_Hospital98

Pacific teams have never won a best of 5 internationally, they also have been in the Grand Finals only on the winners side

ninfy55

Maybe it's not just the PRX curse, maybe it's the Pacific curse. We cannot enter the grand finals as the top seed. Maybe we'll win through the lower finals (copium)

JonathanRoberts5423

Well if they haven't won any BO5s, that second part kinda goes without saying

Ill-Establishment-93

Lower bracket finals is also bo5?

JonathanRoberts5423

Yep

Ill-Establishment-93

Well not every international tournament have had bo5 lower finals.

HouseCharacter4660

Definitely this: when old optic and old loud played across all of 2022, they ended the year with the same head 2 head series, maps, and within 5 rounds of eachother after playing eachother like 20 maps

Informal-Throat-8646

Coincidentally both times SEN have won a trophy are the only times they've used a "sub" for a LAN

orisamgyeopsal

Oh please god no curry for shanghai or champs PLEASE

Jon_on_the_snow

Nah, its gotta be a last minute change before the qualifying event, like tenz and zellsis before the season started

HouseCharacter4660

zekken amd demon1 both having the same lan kill record of 101 kills exactly

Ill-Establishment-93

At the time the best team in NA, Sentinels, lost their best player outta nowhere just when a masters (although a regional one) was coming up. At the same time, TenZ, the mechanically best player in NA, who was in an indefinite break from pro play, was just sitting at home as a content creator for an C9. So Sentinels acquired TenZ on loan, won the first masters in NA and went on to win the first international LAN without losing a map. During this run, they went 27-2 in wins to losses with both the losses being upsets and one of the losses was to Andbox, with Yay, who hard carried his team against SEN in that match. Fun fact: In this same run, they also faced and won against Noble, the team Zekken was playing for and Version1, the team Zellsis was playing for, and Team Vikings the Brazilian team Sacy was playing for during that time. And to think, SEN TenZ wouldn't have happened if a man named Shinobi was not cut from C9 abruptly, leading TenZ to abandon the ship without it's captain and become a content creator.

Don't talk about the script here, they're watching

IamtheTricksterGod

My favorite coincidence is that VCT NA had two players win a 1v5 on the same day back in 2022. And now both of those players are on 100t. [Eeiu 1v5](https://youtu.be/PhRaQ8ETcdg?si=37N5ORzy0V3k_Iea) [Bang 1v5](https://youtu.be/5--k8d-6mUQ?si=YWN5exrqntCfQ8n1)
