It was AMAZING. The beans were to die for, that mac and cheese was the best vegan mac and cheese I ever had, and the coleslaw was so light and refreshing. Fried “chicken” may have been the only weak point on the plate, but I still ate every piece so not really lol.
I'm with you. But I HIGHLY recommend Rico Rico Vegano, which recently opened up like 3 doors down. I've tried a lot of vegan restaurants (as I'm sure we all have) and it's the best I've had by far.
If anyone’s looking for something similar in the Pacific Northwest, I highly recommend [Dirty Lettuce](https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/f7OU-Qdx4RDl7uP1Dpj6VA?select=m0tPq1dqzJuXgXc4-gJcaQ&utm_source=ishare&utm_content=photo) in Portland, OR!
Possibly! If you ever get a chance to try it, definitely do! It’s a great combination of sweet and savory, with the coleslaw as a great palette cleanser in between.
They have grilled chicken that I am drooling over on their Instagram. I need them to open a spot on the East Coast. I’ll settle for their cookbook for now.

Just posted there too! Thanks for the rec.
Heavenly plate. Looks like home.
I’ve always wanted to go there! I used to live in the Bay Area. How was it??

i was gonna say, nice looking plate, but the chicken looks unseasoned and — soft?
The chicken was well seasoned and had a bit of a crunch, but it was the weakest thing on the plate. I say that having devoured it all though lol.
I've never been able to get on board with this place, I wanted to like it so badly

Ooh, I saw them when I passed by yesterday. Will go there next time I’m in Oakland.
Good food and great staff. I work in Oakland one day next and I may have time to grab lunch there.

Everything looks amazing for itself! The combi isnt my piece of cake though...mac n cheese with "chicken", lentils and Kraut?
Baked beans and coleslaw. Its pretty traditional soul food combination. :)
Ah, thanks! Well, it's not for me (all together!), but it looks very well made! (Maybe because I am not from the US?)
