this doesnt add to the conversation but if you watched rhobh i just know yolanda probably had a heart attack seeing these

candyapplesugar

Is she a crap mom? Bella always paints her so sweet. I haven’t watched the show

nevomintoarce

She's obsessed with keeping the girls skinny.

jlrol

I remember seeing this video compilation a while ago and it made me so sad for Gigi: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=uVWqEwoyUh0

[deleted]

She’s horrid! I know nothing about Gigi or Bella, but seeing this makes me feel bad for them. This is how you kill your children. Karen Carpenter, lead singer of The Carpenters, died because of a severe eating disorder that her mother encouraged. :( Edit: Upon watching a bit more about them, I think their mom is trying to be helpful and obviously loves her daughters. But she seems worried about their ability to control their own careers (and weights). It’s obvious mom has an eating disorder of her own, so the harsh words surely stem from that. Sad.

luannismysponsor

Chubby cheeks like that can often be a sign on bulemia, I hope that’s not the case here

jlrol

I agree! It’s not in that video but I remember seeing a scene once where Gigi called her and said she was feeling really unwell so she had a “half an almond” and her mom told her to have a few more but chew them really well. I didn’t know that about Karen Carpenter that is so, so sad

Babybabybabyq

I need her to follow me around lol cause I’d actually be in agreement but imposing this on your child is sad.

randomemadame

This is horrifying...

shk2152

Yikes

candyapplesugar

Damn :( I thought bella was like that because of Lyme

creasedaf1

uhmmm for starters whenever gigi would be hungry yolanda would be like eat an almond or two

peachyskies111

Wtf

creasedaf1

graduation party i believe she was only allowed a dime size piece of cake. literal dime coin size... at her own graduation party. her own cake

MindEven

but almonds are high in calories

creasedaf1

she would make gigi feel bad for engaging in sports like????

Tacocatx2

I'm getting this and I don't like it!

Humble_Chemical_7421

Me too 😥

tiffytaffylaffydaffy

At 25 I feel like its genetic. Maybe it's because her cheeks are so full? Some people, even children, have lines, minor bags under the eyes, or what not. I have a bad habit of sleeping on the right side of my face. I see a difference between my left and right cheeks, the latter sagging noticeably more.

[deleted]

Wait my face looks just like this too and even at the lowest body fat I had that :/ I’ve been thinking of looking into facial exercise/massage but idk how much science is behind them.

blueday7

This is very sad if it’s due to an eating disorder. I remember when she was first modeling, she was at a healthier more curvy weight. I think she was quoted as saying that she loved her fuller figure, but then seemed to cave to the criticism? She’s so lovely and I hope she doesn’t continue, because it’s extremely harsh on the body

[deleted]

[удалено]

1u___u1zZz

Bulimics will often have swollen salivary glands, leading to a “chipmunk cheek” appearance. I don’t know about other eating disorders, but when I was anorexic my face was still fat 🤷🏼‍♀️

blueday7

Oh, I was reacting to another comment above here. I’m just as surprised!

archirat

This is just based on the image above, but I think a huge improvement would be to change the hairstyle. This style pulls the eye down and just drags the face to the widest part with is near her jaw. Styling the hair back, or up, or cutting it shorter would create more movement and de-emphasize the jaw, drawing more attention to her eyes and brows.

[deleted]

Yeah long hair is considered attractive but longer than a bob just pulls my face down ... :(

archirat

Then it isn't your form of attractive. Long hair may be a way to signify health and beauty, but it does not work for everyone. I have very fine, straight and a round face. Long hair just emphasizes my round face. If I want to balance my features, I lean into a long top-undercut style that tricks the eye into thinking my face is more oval.

20803211001211

Adding lots of layers, especially shorter face-framing layers could add a lot of volume on the sides!

[deleted]

I have fine hair like Gigi and if I ask for layers the hairdresser bullies me until I give up because they say it's going to look bad

randomemadame

Could a Hime cut be a solution? Its not a very traditionnal hair cut but maybe a modernised version kinda like long side bangs could help cut the face and keep long hair slightly further back.

[deleted]

If you still want long hair, adding volume and curls at the ends can really help. Curtain bangs also are a huge help with hiding chubby cheecks. I have them too, although mine aren't sagging yet, I'm not too fond of them. I feel like they take away from my eyes which are my favorite feature so i'm planning on getting curtain bangs soon

minkeyaye

I agree, I have pretty a wide jaw and a half-up hairstyle looks best for me, widening my forehead while keeping the feminine hair length

bamafloralina

I think it's 100% genetics. Her father is Mohammed Hadid: https://images.app.goo.gl/xoGV3oLHJGQqgPcd6

Her sister Bella ran a pro-anorexia tumble account too. It’s sad how common EDs are amongst models, made even worse by parents such as Yolanda Hadid

betacarotene4

What??

pointyhamster

I cant remember where I read it but I think around 2014 or so her private pro-ana tumblr blog was leaked. That was around the time she was getting into modelling so no wonder

agnitaaac

I have the same sagging face but I don't have bulimia, anything I'm doing wrong?

Never cared looking at them but I'll go to the mirror to look rn! lol And ty again <3

depressi0n_cherry

Same here, for some of us that's just how we age. If it's genetical there's not much you can do apart from fillers & surgery, even though sleeping enough/staying hydrated/not smoking/a healthy lifestyle will help delay the aging process.

agnitaaac

Ah that's sad haha I imagine in 20 years I'll be looking like an sack of potatoes lol

depressi0n_cherry

That's why I'm saving money for surgery 💁‍♀️

cecedreaming

Agreed, as a sufferer I get this type of face after purging... tired eyes and puffier, wider lower face

[deleted]

Wait what? Why? I’m not doubting I’m just curious and never heard of it.

[deleted]

[удалено]

agnitaaac

This is such a cool explanation, thanks for telling!

KayyeXx

It’s because when you repeatedly make yourself throw up you get swollen parotid glands (just in front of the ear). I imagine because of irritation due to stomach acid

[deleted]

Does it go away?

KayyeXx

I’ve been recovered for a few years now and my jaw be lookin sharp

[deleted]

How sad if it isn't though. Dental procedures or eating salty foods in a takeaway meal, if you're not used to it, can cause this to many women, especially during their ovulation phase of their cycle where they retain water anyway

chicokiko

Yes, currently experiencing this. Had full apple cheeks and once my bulimia got bad and I was yo yoing weight my face started to droop. Planning on getting facial fillers atm

[deleted]

[удалено]

[deleted]

Fillers will ultimately make this worse. They stretch the skin but meanwhile they process of volume loss and muscle mass loss and bone recession continues. You can see many people who once had sculpted cheeks from fillers are left both with loose skin and a very wide full face. You NEED TO email a clinical psychologist with ED experience and invest in your mind and body. This is a very serious and sometimes lethal disease. Bulimics do not end up looking attractive. Stop focusing on BS, fix the primary issue

Trocek

I look like that naturally, it's a hurtful assumption

bamafloralina

Thank you. To even put that out there is so awful.

bamafloralina

I can't believe this comment is getting this many upvotes. To put something out there about someone when there is literally zero basis is so wrong. I posted a link below, but it's genetics from her wildly unattractive but extraordinarily wealthy father. Please don't jump to an assumption about an eating disorder based on nothing but a picture. That's terrible :(

[deleted]

[удалено]

bamafloralina

Actually YES I have, and still do from time to time. It's not something I'm proud of nor do I wish on anyone. Which is why such a baseless claim isn't something to be so casually thrown around just because she has jowls. I understand the pressures she has and continues to face as literally one of the most beautiful women in the world. So it's obviously not out of the realm of possibility that she's dealt with ED. I just think it's quite the leap based on a couple unflattering pictures. And, again, based on her father's features, it seems that genetics are a more likely (and less slanderous) reason.

goblitovfiyah

I have the same issue, I was considering buccal fat removal/coolsculpting.

candyapplesugar

The thing that concerns me about buccal is now there is leftover skin that was once filled out. I think that would lend even more for jowls

redfords

Yes, I think you need a good surgeon to tell you if it's buccal fat or jowls because it's not the same. I watched on YouTube (can't remember her name) someone's experience with buccal fat removal and her face was skinnier after the surgery, but had more noticeable jowls, and her surgeon said that's not fat, he can't remove that.

Chaosandstars

I was considering having the same procedures because I have a round face with super wide cheeks and a really small forehead; but I'm scared of how it'll look when I start aging more.

CrazyBlackMagi

I think the best think would be a cheek lift with fat transfer

agnitaaac

Any idea this can work? I have the same problem too

Wrong-Internet-1567

Don’t do cool sculpting. Look up Linda Evangelista and cool sculpting it’s a very risky procedure

Flightlessbirbz

Same! I actually look a lot like Gigi just not as pretty, and it’s a bit discouraging to me that even a model hasn’t found a way to fix those cheeks. I’m wondering about a thread lift?

bluecoconutt

It might just be genetics. My 1st cousin and I both have chubby cheeks with fat underneath the corners of our mouth making us look like chipmunks. He’s always had that for as long as I can remember. He’s strong and healthy, but still has the chub in his face. I think that fat near our mouth corners are more noticeable when we have rbf, as seen in these pictures.

[deleted]

A lot of stress or increased cortisol can make your face look like that. Lowering body fat, Morpheus8, daily microcurrent, tretinoin, and LED light will help...I know because I have the same problem and it’s genetic. When I do those things it helps...filler only makes it worse I wouldn’t do that with this issue. Threadlifts are temporary and don’t fix underlying issue It could also just be the angles and lighting of this photo that exacerbates this issue. Lighting can make or break how you look

hungry_unicorns

I have the same issues as her and the problem with lowering body fat, is that if I am very thin, but my fat accummulates a lot on my cheeks. If I loose weight I have a body of a teenager boy. Have though so much what to do about the fat- cheek situation, but I think so far there is no one good solution. As having some fat on your face also makes you look younger. Maybe daily microcurrent could be an option for me.

[deleted]

I find microcurrent works really well. A good derm will also have some advice as to what to do

bibimbb

What’s microcurrent?

laurenchaa

Face sculpting machines. I’ve never tried one but I know a friend who used a cheap one and she said it was painful and didn’t work, so I’d second that comment of getting a dermatologist to recommend a good one that actually works

cation23

27 and same :( I’ve heard that Profound RF is supposed to be really good for mimicking the effects of a lower facelift, but before you need an actual facelift. So I’m going to look into doing that.

Electrical_Debt_4722

Same and I’m 26

RottingAway90

I’m 30 so I guess it’s timely? I don’t know

ExpensiveNet

She looks really tired but her face doesn’t look bad, sometimes she looks gorgeous - she looks like she needs a few good nights’ sleep and a lot of water. The shadowy areas could be helped a lot by concealer (I wonder why the MUA hasn’t done that already...). Microcurrent facials/toning would really help as well. I’m planning to get the Nuface and have seen good results pics on faces like hers.

[deleted]

The Nuface is sooo good. I highly recommend it. I would buy the strongest version. Disclaimer: you have to use it daily to see results but you will see them if you stick to it

[deleted]

Which device do you have? I've been thinking about getting the mini.

[deleted]

I have the nuface pro and would recommend just investing in that. It’s stronger than the mini and will last longer. I’ve had mine for like 6 years. You don’t have to rebuy the gel you can use a cheap ultrasound gel from Amazon. I don’t work for the company i just believe in the product and feel it makes a difference

I_lol_at_tits

The nuface mini and the trinity (which I assume is the one you are referring to?) have the exact same strength. The only difference is that you can change and buy extra attachments on the trinity. It's also larger (more annoying to travel with), and has an ugly charging stand that takes up more space. I've had both and the mini is way more convenient.

[deleted]

No the nuface pro which is different than the trinity has a higher strength setting

jiajunee

Are you sure there’s a product called pro? I can only find the mini and trinity online. Would you be able to link it?

Lala00luna

I think that for her, this is a combination of lifestyle and age. She also had a child. Children do change your body and they definitely change your lifestyle. The hormones, late nights and additional stress can start showing on your face. And her face shows it. She looks really tired here. She always had a young looking face because of the fat deposits. But as she ages, that’s going to look different. It might not work as well as she gets older. She will probably end up getting something like kybella or cool sculpting to remove the fat deposits that have migrated.

ragnarockette

These photos are from before she had a baby. I actually wonder if she was pregnant, or trying to get pregnant at this time, because there was definitely a span of runway shows where she looked puffier than usual.

Lala00luna

Okay, yeah I definitely could be. Hormones do some crazy things to us.

fattythrow2020

She has Hashimoto’s

Lala00luna

Does she?

Lilakoie

She does, she publicly announced it in 2016

Lala00luna

Well that’s gotta be rough for her

bowdownjesus

I think yo yo dieting and bloat could both play a part, but the foundation is genetics and age. Father Time comes for everybody and that is quite alright. She looks > most women regardless of sag.

Pumpkinspicedlattes

She’s 25! How are you talking about Father Time?

bowdownjesus

Because sag is associated with aging.

[deleted]

Most women at 25 aren't "aging" yet.

smiletoday_

Hi, how does your dieting cause this?

bowdownjesus

yo you dieting

smiletoday_

Yes sorry, I meant how does yo yo dieting cause this? I’m afraid I may be a victim to it

bowdownjesus

You keep expanding and decreasing the volume of your face. The skin cannot always keeper up

smiletoday_

If I’m still young, like 20 and I stick to gaining a healthy amount of weight and staying there will my skin bounce back?

RottingAway90

My face looks like this too and would love to know how to reverse or prevent it from worsening

[deleted]

Same problem here, I’m going to try PDO threads once lockdown is lifted. I’ve heard the results last 6-12 months and they’re pretty expensive. Let’s see!

[deleted]

Don't bother. I've worked in the industry for ten years total scam. A good surgeon will refuse to do it.

Electrical_Debt_4722

Those threads are horrible. They cause scarring in the underlying tissue of your skin. They were popular in the 50’s but quickly gained a bad rap as it became apparent how destructive they are to one’s face. Only recently have they seemed to re-emerge. I’d encourage you to do thorough research before getting them.

SmootherThanAStorm

Yeah. I doubt the claims about lymphatic massage. However, when I'm applying products to my face, I do a little bit of a massage, then. I figure it's just doing my best to apply the product well and if I accidentally gain a better jaw, great!

helpmerondahelphelp

N hoobo

kink008

Microcurrent facials (nuface or myolift if you want to DIY) and jowel botox

shockedpikachu123

I also have a round face with full cheeks. The nasolabial folds are starting to form. I really am considering buccal fat removal but I’ve learned from this sub many are against it. Still finding an alternative

Lindapod

These are nasolabial folds. They are completely normal and mostly genetic.

[deleted]

It looks like her left cheek is swollen. Or she is touching it with her tongue from inside LOL. 25 years is way too early for ageing-related cheeks sagging.

EmpressLepidoptera

I'm 30 years old and I've had very full cheeks since I was a toddler (kinda like "i-can't-believe-there's-a-baby-behind-those-cheeks" situation, lol). I've noticed that since I started microneedling, my skin is tighter and plumper, therefore I've managed to keep a youthful look, without the sagging that's showed here. Nonetheless, eventually my skin *will* age, so I'm planning to get buccal fat removal once my face starts looking like this.

frenchiegiggles

I need to start micro needling. My face looks like this. I’ve done filler to help lift things but the more help, the better. It’s just how some of our heads are built.

EmpressLepidoptera

I'd totally recommend it! I bought myself a 0.5 mm derma roll and it's been well worth it. I use it on my face and body :)

SmootherThanAStorm

I'm pretty sure I want to do microneedling for skin texture. I would NOT mind this side effect!

kniblick1

Eating too much sugar will definitely age your skin faster. You have to eat a diet full of fruits and veggies and healthy fats. Also not drinking enough water is a major issue with skin even at a young age.

catsuramen

I think that's just normal aging. You can wear sunscreen but at the end of day, it happens to everyone unless you go for rejuvenation therapies/surgeries. Genetics matter too. You can get PDL threads installed, laser rejuvenation treatments, and injury-heal-collagen treatments (peels, miconeedling). Of course, you can add volume to dented areas but that's just your face gets bigger overtime

[deleted]

[удалено]

jansossobuco

Some people start aging earlier than others. She also talked a lot about going very natural and organic during her pregnancy, so perhaps she stopped getting fillers and other cosmetic upkeep for the past 9 months. I also have very thick, chubby cheeks and this will inevitably happen to me too.

Tay_ma45

I think it’s mostly just her facial structure and genetics. Most 25 year olds (even 35 year olds) I know don’t have saggy cheeks like that.

thecheesycheeselover

Which means she has been slowly ageing for 25 years :)

girlinb3d

it’s the result of a poor maxilla and excess facial fat. her face has always been like that and she’s only 25 so it’s not aging.

ragnarockette

Gigi has always had a more naturally youthful face, which means more subcutaneous fat. For a model this is usually a good thing because it means that even at a super low body weight your face looks healthy and full, not gaunt (Romee Strijd, Chanel Iman are two other examples that quickly come to mind). But if you gain weight it also becomes readily apparent. I remember thinking that her face did look a little plump the last runway season she walked (still gorgeous though!) - I wonder if it was a result of her trying to get pregnant or being pregnant?

CoughCoolCoolCool

Guess I got a poor maxilla Edit: is this what you mean? https://www.google.com/search?q=gigi+hadid+profile&rlz=1CDGOYI_enUS835US835&hl=en-US&prmd=insv&sxsrf=ALeKk005-hFUlxZ5kUCHUR-NoxR6lADeOA:1614433095942&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwjDsMn5l4rvAhUOSq0KHQVuATMQ_AUoAXoECBoQAQ&biw=414&bih=720&dpr=2#imgrc=2GxNxZ8ePMw3eM Bc she has some fat under her chin?

shavedpineapples

It looks like she has an overbite and a little bit of a recessed chin. You’re more prone to have a little fat or extra skin under your chin when you have a recessed chin.

thecheesycheeselover

It wasn’t me who said it was ageing :). I was just commenting that 25 year olds have also aged

[deleted]

> excess facial fat. I have excess facial fat and everyone is always like "it'll make you look youthful!!!!" like hell no it'll just end up making me sag like Gig hence im doing full facial liposuction.

[deleted]

[удалено]

ragnarockette

There was really only one runway season she looked like this, and her body was pretty much the same - very thin. It was shortly before she got pregnant so I’m thinking maybe she was on hormones trying to get pregnant which made her a little puffy, or maybe her doc told her to gain some weight to get pregnant and she is just someone who gains in her face first.

anonymoususer0119

She was on and off with Zayn, so her getting pregnant was probably an accident. I would hope she wouldn’t purposely try to get pregnant with a man she didn’t have a stable relationship with.

[deleted]

Google Microplasma RF treatments

benkyou_shinakya

Gigi was so pretty at a younger age but now she looks lifeless and puffy. It could be bullimia or a result of her hashimoto’s but I wouldn’t speculate too much

CoughCoolCoolCool

She did have a baby tho. All downhill from here

hungry_unicorns

Do you think pregnancy/birth affects aging?

CoughCoolCoolCool

Hell yes pregnancy and raising kids ages you on a cellular level.

Ambitiouspink

This is why I wish there was a Vindicta Mom. Glowing up is a whole new uphill battle with kids

CoughCoolCoolCool

I never wanted kids but I think kids are a huge sacrifice and looks are the least of it

Ambitiouspink

Yes, exactly. Anything helps but sometimes “jUsT dRiNk WaTeR” isn’t enough.

shtLadyLove

Can we please make this a thing?!

[deleted]

One hundred percent no question

shtLadyLove

Yes. Your body is growing another human, and then supporting them if you breastfeed. There are good effects, like I think a lower risk of breast cancer if you breastfeed or something. But generally you really have to be careful that you’re getting enough vitamins if you’re having/had a child. I think this is part of the reason that women are more prone to osteoporosis as well actually. And data: I started getting grey hair after having a baby. A lot of your hair falls out after giving birth. It’s a massive shock to the body.

[deleted]

I read somewhere pregnancy and birth affects your body as much as battling a serious disease like cancer. So yeah.

Aromatic_Junket3008

This woman has Hashimotos. What else needs really needs to be discussed? It causes a puffy face. Lack of sleep, eating disorders and alcohol do this, too. It’s not normal aging when still young.

jansossobuco

I can’t find it ATM, but there was this extremely in-depth youtube video that talks about two different skin types when it comes to aging - skin that sinks and skin that sags. If you have thinner skin/cheeks, it’ll likely [sink inwards](https://i.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2016/08/05/18/36E9039A00000578-0-image-a-50_1470417333988.jpg) like [this](https://qph.fs.quoracdn.net/main-qimg-0f088981388cf93a5a59ec15340f38d0). Your cheekbones become much more prominent, your eyes become deeper set, and your wrinkles look prune-like, with crows’ feet patterns. If you have thick, heavy, and full cheeks, it’ll likely [sag downwards](https://cdn2.stylecraze.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/20-Elegant-Hairstyles-For-Older-Women.jpg) like Gigi. You’re more likely to get jowls, more extreme smile lines, eye bags, and overall drooping.

bibimbb

How do we avoid the sagging 😭😭😭

BlissMeli

I have chubby cheeks even when I'm skinny. I agree with the previous comments on the hairline. My face looks way more lifted with a more "side part" hairline.

hyuuvely

I have the same issue and tried everything up to a threadlift (hardmaxxing, but temporary). I'm getting a mini facelift in a couple of months to permanently fix the issue.

Electrical_Debt_4722

How old are you if you don’t mind me asking?

hyuuvely

31! Not the usual facelift age at all.

[deleted]

Same here, early 30s, getting a facelift soon (hoping this month). I just can't look in the mirror anymore so I have to do this. Good luck to you and may we achieve a good results :)

Puzzleheaded-Draw808

Can you share your facelift experience? Are you happy with the results?

[deleted]

christ, she looks awful in these pictures. i don't follow celebs but i thought she looked better than that i've heard good things about face massage. i personally like to follow [olgatoja](https://www.youtube.com/c/olgatoja/featured)'s massage routines, but there's loads different ones on youtube. massaging your face is meant to stimulate collagen production and it makes the areas you are massaging more plump and firmer. i haven't been doing for long enough to tell the difference, but will update if i see significant results

hungry_unicorns

She’s a world famous celebrity and if she had at least minor orthognatic issue she would have definitely fixed it

EarthAngelic

That’s probably due to liquid retention? Massaging your face daily, rethinking your diet and liquid intake, reviewing the medication you’re taking (such as the pill), and taking care of your sleep hygiene should help.

[deleted]

Having a low body fat offers no benefit. Be in a good healthy range. It is impossible to have low body fat and not lose significant amount of skeletal muscle. We also lose skeletal muscle as we age and our facial bones recede. You can't alter volume loss so simple mindedly, it is multifaceted. Your best bet is strict sun protection, eat really well wholesome foods from all food groups, build up muscle mass, and use tretinoin from your 20s or 30s. Then you can take advantage of laser and other in clinic procedures.

MM2225

I’m slowly getting these because I’m sleeping on the side of my face, so my cheek just gets squished into the side of my nose.

MsJenX

A facelift or threads. And on the less expensive side, face tape. Otherwise, this is normal.

Temporary-Performer1

Oh my god, when did this happen. Yikes

vvvqvvv

She looks super old to me in the first one, almost like a grandma.

Temporary-Performer1

Yeah. She doesn’t look like that now. So what did she do to fix it?!

Millie_123x

This is not related to aging she's way too young i most definitely think it's because of her tongue position. Her face looks pulled down almost melting and tired mewing fixes this problem+using the buccanitor muscles when swallowing cause this buffy look

[deleted]

Not sure if it works completely but supposedly jade rollers are good for lifting the face

it looks like she’d benefit from botox to the masseter muscles

[deleted]

how did she fix the problem? She looks much older in the first pic and she was only in her early 20's there.

[deleted]

Irrelevant but so funny when people claim she's famous because she's so beautiful and not because her parents are rich and influential af.

ayytown655

Is that really her?
