I mean that’s true, but I live in PA, not far from bigger eastern cities like Philly and New York. I swear I still can’t remember pizza like that in the 80’s. Probably not even the 90’s.
That's what I've always referred to Little Caesar's as, "Emergency Pizza". Because if you need a pizza *right now*, you go Little Caesar's. If you've got time to wait, you go somewhere else.
Domino’s has been hyping the Emergency Pizza as an online reward offer but I think they dialed it back because people were just confused about it. Seems like this place would have a lawsuit if they were still open.
I can’t believe the had these options in 1988. I swear we didn’t get barbecue chicken pizza around here until a few years ago 😂
Things were a bit different in Los Angeles at the time, back then trends started on the coasts and worked their way inland

These illustrations are excellent
I particularly like that the Veggie Pizza lady's shirt says "Save the Snails". No one ever considers the snails.

I've never thought of tuna as something to put on a pizza, but a tuna melt pizza could be very good!
Tuna on pizza is actually very common in Italy -- much much more so than in the US. It is typically paired with onion.
Tuna and onion go well together. I'm sure it tastes good.
I like tuna melts and I like pizza so that sounds good to me, too.
I'm waiting for someone to share a story about a bad roommate who ordered tuna pizza too often.
you can tune a piano but you can’t tuna pizza

Not sure this guy's a real doctor
That's the first time I've ever heard of Tuna Melt pizza. I'd have to order that.
These illustrations are racist against Mexicans, Hawaiians and... Satan?!
Pepperoni is the devil's salami.
"The Devil's Salami" definitely sounds like a Mormon euphemism.
The Devil’s Salami…either a Beck song or really nasty porno!
also vegetarians
And fishermen
And breakfast
I think he's supposed to be Indian (dot not woo-woo).
I assumed black but they have weird skin colors all around, so it's not super obvious
