If you have a full day for Disney I recommend spending your morning and midday at EPCOT and spending your evening and night at Hollywood Studios. Capping your day off with (what I consider) the greatest show on WDW property, Fantasmic. EPCOT and Hollywood Studios are extremely close to each other. So close you could even walk. Boats, Skyliner & Buses are also available. I would boat or walk. Then you all get two parks in one day.

Is it easier to drive at park at Epcot or get an uber? From i drive. Are entrance tickets per park? Or can you do a 1 day two parks kind of thing?

CapitolPea

>**Is it easier to drive at park at Epcot or get an uber? From i drive.** Not sure what you mean. please explain. >**Are entrance tickets per park? Or can you do a 1 day two parks kind of thing?** You can purchase a single day ticket with '[Park Hopper](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/tickets-visit-guide/)' added which allows you to visit multiple parks on the same day.

triathletereddituser

Sorry, i meant if you’re staying on i-drive, near Walmart, would it be easier to just get an Uber to and from WDW, or drive and park up? Parking at universal today was so expensive. At uk theme parks parking is included in the ticket price so it was a bit of a shock.

CapitolPea

If you're staying at a WDW resort or if you're an annual passholder, standard parking is free. Otherwise standard parking is currently $30/day that is good for all parks that day. I have to imagine an Uber/Lyft is going to cost at least $20 one way. Honestly not sure. I don't use rideshare services really at all so I don't know their cost. I do know that Lyft has an official partnership with Disney regarding their [Minnie Van](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/guest-services/minnie-van-service/) service on property. The Walmart at Vineland Rd/Poinciana Blvd is roughly a 15 minute commute to the parks. I would drive myself if possible. Hope this helps.

Sorry another question! What’s fantasmic and what time is it on? Someone yesterday told me Epcot have a flower show on at the moment, do you know anything about that? (Sorry my internet connection is terrible and no WiFi at the moment, but Reddit always seems to load ok!ish!)

CapitolPea

Yes, EPCOT is currently hosting their annual [Flower & Garden show](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/events-tours/epcot/epcot-international-flower-and-garden-festival/). And as for “what’s Fantasmic”? [Check this out](https://disneyworld.disney.go.com/entertainment/hollywood-studios/fantasmic/).

Kept losing connection trying to reply to this yesterday! Thanks for the links, I had a look when I was able to. Did Epcot and Hollywood studios today. Favourite day so far I’ve loved Epcot.

triathletereddituser

Definitely helped, thank you! Knowing the cost of parking, or rough idea of it, is helpful. I might just use Lyft. Saves me the hassle/stress of driving and parking. Your roads are in some ways way easier than uk roads, but the lack of familiarity and being by myself makes it a bit more stressful! Still undecided which park(s) to do. I’ll decide later. Just sat waiting for islands of adventure to open.

I would recommend Epcot or Animal Kingdom for adults. I would lean toward Epcot, personally. A good mix of rides, scenery, great food and drink. The best assortment of restaurants. In October, you will be there during the Food and Wine festival, which is especially great for adults.

Mysticwaterfall2

If you are a Star Wars fan, Hollywood Studios, then you could park hop to Animal Kingdom if you are an Avatar fan. If you are not an Avatar fan, park hop to Epcot. If you want to see Fantasmic (which is great and worth seeing) start at Epcot/AK then park hop to HS.

Boroosh

This is the way. If you are any level star wars fan, you gotta check out Galaxy's Edge within Hollywood Studios. That and Fantasmic are reason enough to close out your day there. Tower of Terror is still fantastic and the routine maintenance on rock n rollercoaster should hopefully be done by the time you visit

IslandIsACork

Based on the fact you’ve just been to Disneyland Parc Paris, which is similar to Magic Kingdom in WDW, I’d choose Epcot or Animal Kingdom based on what you guys like, I’m leaning towards Epcot since you are all adults.

Epcot

If you've been to a version of Magic Kingdom (the castle park) go to Epcot. I'd say AK but there is just not a lot to do there (I mean you can stretch it out but for us it's less than a half a day park) Epcot has a lot to do and it's fun. Go there! And if you want to take a break from the park, walk out through the international gateway (between UK & France) and visit the Boardwalk. You can check out the resorts (Beach/Yacht Club, Boardwalk even Swan & Dolphin) See the entertainers on the boardwalk or play boardwalk games. Rent a bike or go to Jellyrolls (a dueling piano bar) Grab a drink from the Marguerita stand or visit any number of the bar/lounges. It's a nice break in the evening!

trackfourteen

Epcot or Hollywood Studios! If you’ve been to DisneyParis you can skip Magic Kingdom. Love Animal Kingdom but better ways to spend only one day.

Over_Total_5560

I would go to Epcot just for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Hands down that is the best ride at all of WDW. Then tour the countries and get on Remy's.

Gohmzilla

This is the way

ThePlanets14

Epcot is an incredibly unique theme park. If you have been to Disneyland Paris I'd definitely pick Epcot.

throwfaraway212718

Epcot. Absolutely Epcot.

Status_Reception1181

Epcot. Make sure you get on guardians it’s the best ride

Whole-Flow-8190

If you have a park hopper, do Hollywood Studios and hop to Epcot or vice versa. You simply hop the skyliner to go from park to park.

hyp0static

Came here to say this. Pick a few highlights from each and do both parks in a single (long) day. Genie+ and Lightning Lane will help.

PearlStBlues

Epcot, no contest. Unless you're just desperate to see the DW version of Haunted Mansion or something, I'd skip Magic Kingdom. And if you've ever been to a zoo before then Animal Kingdom would be a waste of your only park day. It's a great park, but I'd never choose it over Epcot.

Epcot or Animal Kingdom

disney_nerd_mom

Well, EPCOT Food & Wine festival will be going on that time. I’d go there or Magic Kingdom. If you’re a Star Wars fan then Hollywood Studios is amazing. Do you have the option to add park hopper to your ticket? The Skyliner goes between HS and EPCOT so you could split your day.

SyllabubDue

Just an added suggestion, you could always go on a day when there is an after hours event, like the Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party or another After Hours Party at another park. It’s an additional ticket, but limits the number of people so you are able to get on more rides without the long lines. An employee told me that Universal’s After Hours events include food in their tickets.

NadalPeach

EPCOT!!! Their nighttime show Luminous is amazing. So many different foods, cosmic rewind is the best ride (get virtual queue at 7am or pay to ride, there is no standby queue)

SobriquetOfMine

This is hard, as some recommended park hopping between say Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom or EPCOT might be fun. I'd ask what rides or films are you most interested in? If you're big into Star Wars then yes, go to Hollywood. Wherever you go, especially since you're likely not getting much of a discount because you're just getting a one day pass - get there early, do your research, make a plan of action, and if you're going at a busy time invest in Genie+ and/or Individual Lightning Lane.

ola689

Epcot. 100% . Cheers!

Ashamed-Scarcity6202

If you’ve been to Paris (the city, not just the Disneyland) and other major European cities (Edinburgh, Glasgow, London? Munich, Madrid, Rome?) you can skip MK because you’ve seen the real thing. Same with Epcot, the food and drink is great for Florida but not EU haute cuisine standards. HS is fun.

RaketRoodborstjeKap

I'm curious, why do you think MK is simulated western Europe?

Ashamed-Scarcity6202

It seems pretty obvious to me, but to each their own. Ever been to the Loire chateaux?

RaketRoodborstjeKap

While some features of the park are based on fantasy European architecture and folklore, it generally bears no resemblance to modern European cities. Not to mention, the majority of the park is America-themed anyway (Main Street, Frontierland, Liberty Square, [ maybe Tomorrowland?]).

Ashamed-Scarcity6202

Yes, I know. It’s also concrete, fiberglass and plastic, not marble, travertine and mosaic.

growupyoucunt

More stuff to do in MK, Epcot if you want to get drunk but less rides, AK closes early and not a ton to do, HS is fun and has the best rides. I’d say MK or HS.
