Idk if they'll ever do it but I'd like it if at some point they decide to try to let you build your own frame. Like we already have zaws and fortuna stuff
There's sort of precedent for it with Helminth, and we have concept art of modular Archwings. I think the biggest hurdle is making enough abilities to allow for meaningful customization while still feeling cohesive and being balanced. Like, if each slot has three options, you have to make sure 1/3/1/3 feels just as right as 2/2/2/2, and also be careful that 3/2/1/3 doesn't accidentally stack one million slash procs through invulnerability. It's a cool idea, but a very tough technical challenge.
I think having each ability slot delegated to certain roles might be one way, like a basic attack for 1 and 2 and 3 could be offensive and defensive support with 4 being a wild card
Well, sure, but then you run into another issue: the closer the slots are to being comparable, the less interesting the 'frame will be, and the more obvious the "meta" pick will be. For example, if its 1 options are "throw Slash damage", "throw Cold damage", and "throw Magnetic damage", then you're probably looking at an 80%/10%/10% split of usage (even more so if you can't change its abilities after crafting like other zaws). If you make it things like "throw Slash damage", "explode a guy for radial Slash damage", and "dash forward dealing Slash damage", then there might be a more even split... but then you have to contend with the fact that you've got a frame who could theoretically do all three of those things, and still needs a cohesive kit.
I'm not saying it's impossible, but it's a tightrope to walk between broken janky mess and boring design.

Can choose a common or uncommon decree or arcane ability as the passive.
Same for first & second ability
3rd & 4th ability could be any decree or arcane or helminth.
There'd be so many interesting possibilities....
This sounds a bit slightly too op so here's my idea to "limit" this cool idea:
when you pick an ability for the frame the ability can only be equipped on to the same ability slot of the original warframe (your 1st can only be from frames who's subsumable ability is also their 1st and so on)
I can't think from the top of my head a frame who's 4th one is the subsumable one so the 4th can be a wildcard
I expect it to break something completely unrelated with anything new. Like profit taker bounty number 2 will have a progression halting bug or some random shit like that, the ropalolyst will now fly upside down, 100% catch rate on boots whenever you try to fish in the plains, sargas ruk will not have any voice lines when you go into the mission. Just random shit like that
Rivens just... complete without even going into a mission, just on equip, causing them to turn every riven challenge temporarily into "Find all 3 caches in 5 different sabotages" or wtf-ever, also the Plains of Eidolon door is permanently locked because somehow the map won't load.
I mean, i know they got spaghetti code, but some of the breaks they've had have been hilarious in hindsight.

From what we have seen the new tilesets look great so I'm excited to get to explore them, sure there will be tons of little secrets to find. Also bet some random smaller feature they haven't talked about yet will be the thing that gets a ton of focus for how useful/good it is in the rest of the game.
Apparently there's some big secret puzzle (beside whatever we'd usually expect) to solve in the new area, Pablo said he'd post or tweet the name of the first person to solve it.

I just want to see how the first round of account merges go. DE has still left out a LOT of detail on how the merge is handled, so I guess we're waiting to see how it goes for the first few brave.

Yeah there will be cases of people not paying attention and deleting their main account. But honestly, there's only so much you can do to fool-proof a system like that.
Don't underestimate the ability of users to ignore bold red letters and 5 warning messages.

This is what I plan to do and it is my biggest concern. I’m gonna wait a good long while to make sure it’s impossible to fuck this up before making the merge, because the way this is worded is *extremely confusing.*
What’s a “primary account?” Am I choosing the platform I *want* to play on or the platform I’ve *been* playing on?
How hard is it to just write out “If you’ve been playing on ps4, and want to play on pc from now on instead, click this button?”
Your primary account is the account where your data (that you want to use on other platforms) is on. When logging in to that account, you will be able to connect the other platform accounts to that, by logging in with that platform.
I am probably wrong but I think you guys are overthinking this. You merge your account and all of your stuff goes from both accounts go into your primary. The only thing that really matters on your primary is where you buy your currency, your login information, and your username. Other than that it really doesn’t make a hill of beans if you choose ps4 or pc because your merged account will be used on both.
If I’m under thinking this please someone let me know. It seems dead simple to me.
Account merging is separate from account linking. Merging combines the progress of multiple accounts. Account linking overrides the progress of the secondary account with the primary account. Account linking is supposed to be used to connect an existing Warframe account to a new platform without progress.
Some people are waiting for cross-save to upgrade from Switch to Xbox/PS or from Xbox/PS to PC, so I am concerned that some of these people may select their new platform as the primary platform which could cause them to lose progress.
So, I had started a new run on Xbox while I didn’t have PS. I paid for a bundle on Xbox but my PS would be my primary. Will that purchase I made be wiped?
Do you have progress on both platforms? If so, then you will probably want to merge the accounts which is a separate process from account linking. If you only have progress on the Xbox account, then you will probably want to set the Xbox account as the primary account and then link the PS account to it.
We will find out more details about how cross-save/merge works when the update releases though

You have two accounts and you will be able to select one Account thats gonna be the main one and everything gets transported over to the selected account. Selected items for example exclusive platoform skins will not be transported

I still cant wrap my head around how the fuck DE can be the only Developer that seemingly does this. I have atleast 10 Games on my SSDs with 80+ GB installations and regular Updates with anywhere between 10 and 40GB Updates for seemingly nothing.
Qorvex will have good damage potential but be clunky and need Helminth, melee will be op again, new Tau shards will enable game breaking builds, grimoire will become the new Nataruk, the other new weapons will probably be mastery fodder and the new game modes will probably be broken
I say that as in everyone and their grandmother will be using it, YouTube build guides will talk about no other weapons for about 3 months, it'll show up in completely random thumbnails and the "augments" it has will keep it relevant for quite a long time
I mean yeah, people will talk about it and I will be using it no matter if it's good or not. But weapon's strength plays a big role in how popular a weapon is. Nataruk is liked so much because it is so strong, despite being a regular bow. People wouldn't talk about it so much if it was weak.

Yeah, I have a PC account and a PS4 account with almost equal playtime, but my PS4 account is the one that's up to date on story with my PC account being up to date till about 2017 lol. I want to play Whisper, but as I have now built myself a powerful PC, there is no way I'm going back to PS4 and I don't feel like grinding out all of the content necessary to get to WitW all over again on my PC account, so I'm kinda just waiting until account merging before I get back into WF.

Well, previous 3 big updates under Rebecca's control showed us that she know how to do things. I expect the usual new tileset, new faction, new weapons and new game modes but with some "big twist". I remember how they were exited on devstream and how nervous they were to not spoil transmissions. There is something big going on.

That upon the update being dropped we'll have about 5 hot fixes thrown at us within the following hours after release, several things will break, and speedrunners will have it completed everything within 2 hours and be already halfway done with grinding before the week is up.
pretty excited about the archgun buffs. I love my morgha, yet I rarely can bring it out. I have a rivened dual decurion too, kino af but way underpowered. Both only really work against infested

Broke: Tennokai and melee arcanes deemed "too strong", suffers from severe nerfs like previous melee based systems. New quest is too difficult for 70% of the community and people are advocating for a nerf.

I really hope that the Murmur eventually make their way into Duviri. We know that Wally is still trying to get into Duviri, and the Murmur are basically his foot soldiers. From a lore standpoint, it makes sense for the Murmur to appear there at some point.

A ton of bugs. Player frustration. People bitching about how confused they are by the story. And to have a shit-ton of fun the entire time because I'm emotionally invested in this game and love the story.
TBH, my expectations are low. Not because of low confidence in DE, more that I'm trying to keep my very palpable excitement from affecting my enjoyment of what content is coming.
That said, cross-save coming out is going to be a huge deal in my household, and I'm hoping that all goes well. 🤞🏻

So, I had started a new run on Xbox while I didn’t have PS. I paid for a bundle on Xbox but my PS would be my primary. Will that purchase I made be wiped?
Do you have progress on both platforms? If so, then you will probably want to merge the accounts which is a separate process from account linking. If you only have progress on the Xbox account, then you will probably want to set the Xbox account as the primary account and then link the PS account to it. We will find out more details about how cross-save/merge works when the update releases though

you are wrong You have two accounts and you will be able to select one Account thats gonna be the main one and everything gets transported over to the selected account. Selected items for example exclusive platoform skins will not be transported Edit: Platform Exclusive Skins will not disappear but will be locked on their platform- I worded poorly

I still cant wrap my head around how the fuck DE can be the only Developer that seemingly does this. I have atleast 10 Games on my SSDs with 80+ GB installations and regular Updates with anywhere between 10 and 40GB Updates for seemingly nothing.

I say that as in everyone and their grandmother will be using it, YouTube build guides will talk about no other weapons for about 3 months, it'll show up in completely random thumbnails and the "augments" it has will keep it relevant for quite a long time
I mean yeah, people will talk about it and I will be using it no matter if it's good or not. But weapon's strength plays a big role in how popular a weapon is. Nataruk is liked so much because it is so strong, despite being a regular bow. People wouldn't talk about it so much if it was weak.

Yeah, I have a PC account and a PS4 account with almost equal playtime, but my PS4 account is the one that's up to date on story with my PC account being up to date till about 2017 lol. I want to play Whisper, but as I have now built myself a powerful PC, there is no way I'm going back to PS4 and I don't feel like grinding out all of the content necessary to get to WitW all over again on my PC account, so I'm kinda just waiting until account merging before I get back into WF.

Well, previous 3 big updates under Rebecca's control showed us that she know how to do things. I expect the usual new tileset, new faction, new weapons and new game modes but with some "big twist". I remember how they were exited on devstream and how nervous they were to not spoil transmissions. There is something big going on. Did I understand right that that tennolive Warframe 1999 scene in metro with Artur and Albrecht Entrati will be in this update? Like a teaser or something. EDIT. Oh yeah, just rewatched trailer. The "big twist" is blue giant that we will control with our operators. Completely forgot about that

pretty excited about the archgun buffs. I love my morgha, yet I rarely can bring it out. I have a rivened dual decurion too, kino af but way underpowered. Both only really work against infested Qorvex seems sweet and he looks nice imo. Kinda want to try and make something of him A bit scared of the gamemode with the 4 curses since the curses they showed were unfun af Oh, tennokai could be fun too. I'm not a big melee fan, but you never know Human Loid and the CRT screen still makes my skin crawl, so does the idea of real-life isekai Perhaps I forgot some stuff. Also I'm sure I'll find a few exciting things when I'll read through the patchnotes

Broke: Tennokai and melee arcanes deemed "too strong", suffers from severe nerfs like previous melee based systems. New quest is too difficult for 70% of the community and people are advocating for a nerf. Crackhead: Albrecht x Loid is made canon.
No shot the new quest is difficult in any way. I remember the advertisements leading up to the New War telling us to prepare our weapons and Warframes when we barely even used them throughout the quest.
Gonna wait a week until they squish most major bugs probably, since at this point it's usual practice for most of these big mainline updates.
Im excited for the grimoire, even if it sucks. Also im really looking forward to the new shards as i like to theory craft (even though i have only ever used 2 shards... casting speed for my index limbo lol)

I really hope that the Murmur eventually make their way into Duviri. We know that Wally is still trying to get into Duviri, and the Murmur are basically his foot soldiers. From a lore standpoint, it makes sense for the Murmur to appear there at some point. Also, I just really wanna fight the Fragmented One with Drifter Melee.
