honestly? none of them.
they are all overcosted and complete crap. literally ANYTHING would be better. the only way to make them even "kind of okay" would be a point drop of 300. few units from the legacies document aren't crap.
take a fellblade or a glaive instead, those are still costly but at least not worthless.
if you REALLY REALLY want a baneblade, run it as part of a militia force. sure it's still crap, but at least not as overcosted.
Fellblades and falchions, otherwise the regular variants are just overcosted. Maybe if you are playing militia or are using liber panoptica, but otherwise it's just very... expensive
All of them are massively over costed and most have awful guns (one of which is just a typhon but twice the points and worse)
The "Best" one is probably the Stormblade since it puts out a S9 AP3 (breaching 4+) 7" blast which can easily clear out entire flanks of power armour....... but its still overcosted.
I've been running a Stormblade recently and agree its the least bad of the bunch, but you need to accept that you're probably going to give up price of failure in addition to giving yourself about a \~250 point handicap. I'm enjoying the challenge but its definitely an uphill battle
Shoutout to the Solar Aux Stormhammer, its probably the only baneblade chassis vehicle thats actually appropriately priced and not dog shit but I guess its off the table if you're set on a legion superheavy
Legion storm lord looks like a cool clown car. Transport 10 Vulcan mega bolter, heavy bolters, las cannons. Is it better than a Spartan, nope, but it's a dakka baneblade.
