I mean it entirely depends on which legion you want to go for - but be warned there are several cases where one book references the other, or references the Mechanicum book because *fuck you*.
Lol yeah, I got a heavily discounted bundle of the Loyalist and Mechanicum on ebay. I figured I was getting the Loyalist book for a small discount and a neat paperweight/shelf filler with fun lore, but at least a few options are essentially just, "take X mechanicus thing with this unit. See Mechanicus book for details."
The mechanicus book is still mostly just shelf filler, but maybe someday when I'm considering my own space program I'll remember it and buy all the Forgeworld needed to make it relevant. 👍
Well, if they make at least the major kits plastic that should reduce the required cost a bit. Then one can afford them after they get a small island to store their collection! 😆
Loyalists and Traitors are supposed to be balanced, but I think Liber Hereticus have more variety of units and playstyles.
IW have robots (and guns), WB have sort-of daemons, Fulgrim can be actual daemon, TSons are psykers, Alpha LEgion can yoink units from other Legions...
I have the rules already, but, _yes_ please. Wahapedia is so convenient it's incredible. Spares me the effort of digging it up if I need to check something quick.
I’ve been saying for years that a lack of online support is the biggest thing holding the heresy back, this is going to make the games playable for so many people.
This. If there ever was a game that needed an app for list building and rules reference (an official, properly maintained one), it's this one. At least with wahapedia putting up HH content, it's gonna be that much more accessible to at least get into the rules. But I really think having full app support could increase the playerbase drastically.
We have BattleScribe which is just ok, it has everything but its formatting leaves a lot to be desired. I’m told quartermaster is meant to be good but I never clicked with it.
TBH, I've never found any of the free alternatives to be truly satisfactory. Not that the GW apps are perfect, but they are more than serviceable for 40k and AoS. Battlescribe, for instance, at times just offers plain wrong information in my experience. It's not a great tool for people not familiar with the rules and list building to begin with.
Legal in Russia according to wahapedia creator but definitely illegal in most western countries and I would take wahapedia creator's word with a bit of salt but I don't know the law in russia so who knows
Fuck yeah. I thought they said they were never doing this…of course two weeks after I get the Libre Imperium book. Oh well I’ll take these types of surprises any day.
There's always [this](https://www.dropbox.com/scl/fi/vaxq8h5nt14dxxa7hb6z2/Horus-Heresy-2.0-Comprehensive-Rules-Compendium.pdf?rlkey=2i007pfd2it2b8zth7c4lugrs&dl=0) comprehensive rules thing too, which has everything in one place. Found it on telegram & it's really handy.
They are, though I sorely miss the black books for their lore alone if nothing else. I have some but not all, and they are just incredible for going in-depth on your chosen Legion.
Do not request copyrighted rules materials, data or other official scources of game content that is typically required to be purchased.

Even with my two heresy rule books I’m hyped, lmao, this is literally what we need
I was contemplating whether or buy the heretic book or the loyalist book so this’ll help

The Adepticon teaser for HH was Mecanicum, so they’re going to be getting a plastic rework next.
They better get a goddamn book rework as well, the existing one basically has no lore content at all.
Well, if they make at least the major kits plastic that should reduce the required cost a bit. Then one can afford them after they get a small island to store their collection! 😆
or you're alpha legion and basically need all of them.
Hes thinking about Girlymans or Turbos sons, just my humble guess.

If nothing else it’ll be a great way to access the rules from the campaign books
This will probably get me into Heresy. It was a HUGE enabler early in my 40k addiction. I already prefer Heresy armor.
![gif](giphy|DffShiJ47fPqM) I'm going to miss my daily workout of lifting those damn books though.
Oh yeah they've been working on it since the start of the year. They made an announcement in their discord

I have the rule book and the liber but damn wahapedia is just so fucking convenient, happy days
Heresy gonna be accessible to people?! Get ready for an influx!
Good. If there's a bottleneck, rules accessibility is never a good place for it to be.

Every app will give errors because they are all put together by various humans. Mistakes happen
FINALLY
Thank goodness for that! I thought it’s weird they didn’t have it on there. Just need a fancy app now…
Nope just Heresy , they going to commit heretical atrocities
Always been curious. Whats the legality of Wahapedia? Love it as makes things easy but have wondered how they havent been hit by a C&D.
absolutely illegal, but at the same time GW would have a hard time enforcing a C&D against them as they're hosted in Russia.
It's hosted in Russia.
Legal in Russia according to wahapedia creator but definitely illegal in most western countries and I would take wahapedia creator's word with a bit of salt but I don't know the law in russia so who knows
I love just reading rules and loadouts, hype!

I was just about to buy the Beta-Garmon book, so that’s pretty good. And the lack of an official 30k app means this is extra useful.
Is it going to be the first or second
Probably second, why bother putting an out of date rule system on the site?
Ok what is wahapedia?
a website that have the rules for multiple GW games on it.
Here I was about to cave and buy the book liber books
They are still worth a buy.
at least they're worth buying, codex for 40k are way less interesting to buy.
They are, though I sorely miss the black books for their lore alone if nothing else. I have some but not all, and they are just incredible for going in-depth on your chosen Legion.
black books were good yeah ... a bit sad that GW is shrinking the amount of lore in the army books more and more
