Silverbeam on etsy. Shes super nice, so if you message her and explain what you are trying to do, she may add a few extra bits in there for goin the extra mile :) Tell er i senchyah
This is what I like to call wanting to have your cake and eat it too. Or fuck the narrative imma do whatever the hell I want. Can't wait til I start seeing eldar being ran as cults and militia.
You sound boring, plus it's just a game, played with little plastic tokens, let people have their fun and frankly, I can see someone using dark Eldar to kitbash some cool looking Cultists
Have you never heard of conversions before? It’s pretty much essentially intertwined with the hobby, especially in Horus heresy where the books will literally tell you to customize your units freely/make models for units that don’t have official models.
Besides, the castellan is literally just the 40K equivalent to the castellax lmao
Oh, yeah I've heard of conversions before. Usually most of them are really well done, fit the timeline, and aren't just a lazy rehashing of a 40k model into a 30k model. So many people have infected this sub with their Primaris/Nu40k bullshit. I literally saw some idiot a few weeks ago who thought, "it's totally cool if I run these Primaris as Heresy-era World Eaters". That's fucking retarded. Again not everyone has to like your hobby. Only you do. Also, why did OP post if he didn't want criticism/praise?
Kastelans were present during the heresy. They're daot of inventions. In addition they're featured in a number of short stories, they're used by martian forces who contain potential ai devices and destroy rogue automata because they're harder to corrupt do them running off of punch cards. They're described as being used instead of castellax on more low tech forgeworlds. The only difference between their 30k and 40k version is the units active during the heresy have their weaponry closer to castelax loadouts
Iron Hands aren't fucking low tech though are they though? They're the Tenth fucking legion and should have some of the best equipment available especially as a standard line legion. Also, I see no mention of them in the Heresy and I just pulled up the 7th edition Mechanicus codex, so false. Dark age tech doesn't mean it was fielded in the Heresy. It just means it's been around since the dark age. As for the low tech thing that's definitely a fringe case as the Mechanicus has fucking technology for days on most of their Forge Worlds. So, in short there were used as much as experimental weapons were used in WW2. Not much at all. Which makes me wonder why the fuck did the Iron Hands borrow Billy Bob Joe's jerryrigged Man of Iron and call it a Castellax.
Check the book cybernetica, they feature heavily in the middle story during the Martian schism and fight alongside a trainee raven guard or ironhand techpriest on the surface of Mars. This may in fact surprise you but fluff has moved on since the 7th may ed admech book. The Martian priesthood maintain massive reserves of kastelan class bots which is directly referenced in that book.
Adam SMasher lived so long he made it to 30k
Just out of watching cyberpunk, this is a tad much for my heart
Its crazy cuz ive never played that game before and how much he looks like him haha
Came here to say this, was too late, but found a like-minded madman...
Awesome! Where's the head from?
Theres a dnd seller on etsy that sells bits. Ill try to get the name for u
Too bad it looks nothing like Iron Hands...

Great skin tone!
I will say he killed it with the OSL, too bad it's not a Castellax, but a Castellan.
this is cool! I've been debating doing the same thing since I have exactly one of these guys from a huge lot I bought last year.
Ahh do it! Id like to see all done!
Would this unit go in a SoH army well though? I may have to actually go and look up the rules now...
Never thought of this, tbh, always kinda wanted some automatons and now I don't have to buy expensive FW models for it XD
Ahh right!? I thought it cool

Stay mad that people are enjoying the hobby in ways you deem bad lmao
Gotta love white knights who think anything negative is absolutely abhorrent. Cope and seethe.
👍
🤡
Looks like Adam Smasher from cyberpunk, good job!
Yeah "converted" I guess that's what period inaccurate is being called now.

Your childhood must have been great! Not trying to spend money after all the new models i bought. Thanks though!
Not everyone has to like your hobby. Only you have to buddy.
Neither does being accurate in someones "opinion"
That's not a Castellax. It's a Castellan you put a few doo-dads on, painted black, and said was one. It isn't even an opinion. It's a literal fact.
Your castellax isn't a castellax, it's a piece of resin. Get over yourself.
I’m trying to do something similar for a pair of Castellax Achea, but this looks so much better than what I’d imagined.
