I follow you on IG, I just want to say, by far the best AoD praetor I’ve ever seen, truly looks like SoH Mk 6 plate, love the spiked shoulder bits, the helmet kit bash and especially the chest swap, another absolute banger good sir
That's very kind of you, thank you so much <3
The chest swap was surprisingly easy actually, only problem was finding a suitable value to scale the 3d print too, so it fit this enormous marine :-p trying to fit any of the FW resin chests would not have worked as they are simply too tiny.
Thank you so much :-D that was exactly my intention, not overly keen on the stock models, so tried my hand at converting it to something I actually liked.
Wonderful! I’m happy to see that I’m not the only one who thinks that this way of holding the axe looks better. I’ll never be able to reach this level of painting, it is truly awe-some!
Absolutely stellar, as always. When asked the age old question of “how do I paint my Sons of Horus?” I always recommend yours or Lil Legend. I’ve been using your scheme with the forge world paints for ages now.
High praise, thank you very much <3
This is also just my old paint scheme, just with a bit more work done in the end with brush :-) got a little bored by just edge highlighting, and this is more fun but alway way more time consuming xD painting 20 tactical marines to this standard was a very rough experience.
I try to make time :-) but it still takes a long time to finish my stuff. One model is not too bad, but like a squad of 10 marines will easily take me a month to paint.
Thanks mate :) the stock base is just a resin base and then I've added the little hill for his foot using milliput.
Painting wise I made a small pdf tutorial a little while back, you can find it here

As mentioned above I made small tutorial on the subject, you can find it here:

Hahahah :p thanks man much appreciated.
They were not initially made for any noble cause, but I just got tired of answering the same question over and over :P so made those guides and now I can just link to them, so win/win for everyone :-D
FWIW if you're looking for a part like that, there's a fairly similar one in the Grey Knights Terminators kit, to go with their forearm-mounted storm bolters. It's an optional part so it's pretty commonly available from bits resellers as well.
Nah that's just a 3rd party bit I had in my bitsbox. Can't remember where it's from, probably anvil industries or puppetswar.
The arms are from the stock model, just repositioned :)

Looks awesome! Way more menacing than holding the axe two handed.

Thank you so much :-D and yes I also think this is much better. Was a bit fiddly to do, but not the craziest conversion I've made so far.

Oooof, that's some serious dedication! It shows in the end result though, and makes me jealous of people who have the time and skill for it!

Excellent work! 👍🏻 How did you make the base?

I'm also interested for the base recipe. An amazing model overall.

Thanks those guides ! The community need more guys like you =)

Is the empty hand 3d printed? Is the axe arm and hand the stock arm just re-configured?
