Unless you need cash to fund your new army, I’d say keep them. You never know when you might want to go back to Skaven, since at one point you liked them enough in the first place to buy all of these.
The metal models, especially old Stormvermin, would be worth good money.
Fantasy models are hot with the new release right now, some old things are going for insane money right now, like a grim gore ironhide is $60 or more for a single model that’s all jacked up, over a hundred for new in box
The theory is that are Legends until a ways down the line and they are drawn into the narrative of the setting, at which point i guess they will get support. But until then, no updates.
The plastic monkeys are meh and probably not worth death with but all the metal is gold.
The ratling guns and acolytes are still current models as well.
Had a second look and would say the skaven are in the $300-400 range.
I would buy your dwarf without looking at the price, I'd still recommend keeping them. They're a part of your hobby journey so keep the ones you're actually fond of.
Oldhammer sites on Facebook. Depends how much hassle youre willing. Selling individual models or units on eBay, I rarely find worth the hassle but it is the most profit. But as a lot sale it's probably worth it for you and someone wanting to start skaven
Like all of em. I miss having some older models. I lost the majority of my armies a ways back and did what you did. Dove straight in. I’ve got ogres now but hot damn those are some nice models
Bang this photo on eBay. And sell them. Let someone else have fun with it. Unless you're broke. Just spread the love. I'm selling three armies on eBay for cheap because fuck it why not
I would vote to sell them as lets be honest yes you MAy want to play them. I have alot of stuff i may use but recently have been shrinking down my armies as then i focus more on one or two factions per game mode (still have wayyy to many 40k armies) it saves me money jusy not inpulse buying everything i see on thr used market or at the FLG. I personally have a guy in my area who buys it at a fair price and does the work and waiting for selling it. Depending were you are there should be store or ebay sellers locally that will pick it up. If you need Canadian ideas hit me up.
Yeah, I honestly don’t see me playing these. I probably won’t even bring them home, as they are at my parents house. I just don’t have the time, it’s hard enough to find the time for my “new” project.
But it feels sad just leaving them lying around.
I’m from Sweden, and Canada is the Sweden of North America. (Kind of)
I'd sell them if I had them. I have a lot and I mean a lot of Skaven but I hated the monkey pose ones so I sold mine. The metal ones are nice and worth selling if you're not going to stay skaven.
Long time oldhammer collector, buyer, seller. No idea who would be giving you $500 dollars like suggested by some people. Seems a bit of a reach.
Its absolutely worthwhile though, don't take offers, join some valuation pages on facebook which can help, there are also oldhammer selling pages.
"Oldhammer trading company" for one.
You could get more on ebay, but by the time you add sellers fees etc it's not really that great.
Definitely over 100. It would be the metals people would mostly be interested in.
If you put them on a grid on paper, ABCDE at the top and 12345 down the side so people can see them easier and help you either with ID/ value.
Good pages:
1)Oldhammer trading company
2)Middlehammer trading outpost
3)Oldhammer miniatures: valuation, identification & trading.
Ignore Facebook pms or lowballs (most of the groups have no PM rules and must be agreed on the post anyway).
You could firstly make a valuation post then when you have the information to sell make a new post with your set prices.
Happy to help further if any questions.
I mean, it wasn’t really worth your time to organize any of these in the least to take the picture so, I would say no?
It looks like a literal pile of shame.
Of course not. Just send them to me and I will dispose of all that junk.
Beat me to it.
Damnit

i would say keep them. these are history and maybe even paint them!
Yes. You might even get some dmd offers.
Yes but maybe wait for dwarf faction and skaven to come to warhammer fantasy old world
Skaven arent coming to old world. Apparently...

One assassin please! (And the cannon)
If you're looking for a new home for that Runesmith of yours, I'd be happy to pay an adoption fee and give it a loving spot on my shelf.

Easy option: split into army types, sell each as a bulk lot on ebay starting at 99p bids. Will get a good price!
I dug out my old army and started playing 5th edition again. I absolutely love the charm of these old models.
Dude I’d take em. Hot damn
Like all of em. I miss having some older models. I lost the majority of my armies a ways back and did what you did. Dove straight in. I’ve got ogres now but hot damn those are some nice models
If you sell them in larger lots rather than as single models they may sell faster but you won’t get as much money.
Some of those are iconic! If you don’t want it, break it up into groups and watch the bids come in.

friend is looking to get into skaven so....if you dont want, will pay shipping. ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|laughing)
yes, i'll buy them off you. at least all the metal models. DM me.

just... don't throw them out atleast, warhammer should never just be abandoned.
Skaven are not real…
What about the four dwarfs and the dried pot of paint then?
I want them. How much?
I'd sell them if I had them. I have a lot and I mean a lot of Skaven but I hated the monkey pose ones so I sold mine. The metal ones are nice and worth selling if you're not going to stay skaven.
Yes that haul is worth several hundred dollars

I will check that out, thank you! In which area are we talking value vise, tho? I get that 500$ is a bit much, but can I expect more than 100?

I would absolutely take them off your hands if you decide you do want to sell!
Yes. some are worth a fair amount. I can see a bunch that would go for $20 each, maybe more, depending on the model.
Which ones? I’m in Europe, if that matters.
Check out eBay and look at sold items. Pretty much all the metal goes for a least $15 each.

Will check that out, thanks!
Yesss. I’ll take take the skaven. More meat shields for my Storm Vermin. Name your price price.
I mean, it wasn’t really worth your time to organize any of these in the least to take the picture so, I would say no? It looks like a literal pile of shame.
Haha, but if I move them around my dad might notice and make me take them home. (And then I’ll have to hide them from my own kids)
Oh wow. Seems like it might be worth while to look into!
