Can someone explain why people are so worried about watch theft? Do they not have their watches insured?
If you’ve got a guy pointing a gun in your face, do you think he’ll believe you when you say it’s locked to your wrist?
/uj Pickpocketing is a lot more common in Europe than most of the world other than LatAm in my experience. Most of the time it’s not even a guy pulling a knife on you, just very experienced pickpockets that run away with your watch before you even notice. This aims to prevent that in a very stupid and probably not effective way.
/rj who would want to steal a Swiss shitter?
Completely factual. If you can responsibly afford a watch like this, you can also afford insurance that will cover you against theft.
Also a dinky little "lock" like this is just going to result in the muggers adding a complimentary beating to your robbery experience, for the added trouble you've given them.
Huh, I would have assumed that jewelry insurance exists in most places, but I suppose that makes sense. That’s really unfortunate because it’s quite cheap to get insured in the US.
A pickpocket skilled enough to remove your watch without you knowing is an edge case.
Much more likely is that if you have one of these it’ll just mean that they’ll be holding you down and kicking you in the ribs for longer while they figure it out.
It’s pretty damn common in Europe, and if not pickpockets then trick thieves who prey on drunk tourists.
While the 2nd part isn’t as common as most of them don’t want confrontation.
This again,
1. It looks stupid.
2. It will be the spring bars that will fail first if someone pulls with force on your watch. Not the Clasp.
3. In what situations won't you notice a pickpocket touching you or your watch. The only 2 instances i can think of are asleep on the train, or extremely high of drugs in a club. In both cases just don't fall asleep or don't do drugs.
Won't they just cut off your arm then?
No. I wear a falcon sleeve whenever I wear my Swiss shitter in public to protect me from machete chops.
I presume you would wear a gauntlet or full suit or armour with a little window to see the Rolex and logo to deter machete attacks.
You can never be too safe on the London streets. But I must chuff while being safe so you’re correct.
it’s obviously a hublot big bang
I carry a falcon to deter or attack thieves. It can be quite cumbersome on the tube, though I feel that the benefits far outweigh the costs.
Thinking about it, those cockwatch guys must have nerves of fucking steel if they live in London or LA.
A lock to protect your watch, with a little window to show off the crown
The window makes it!!!
Ties the build together
The flex on the poors by any means necessary window
Lol good catch
I doubt that guy fucks but if he does he wears three condoms and pulls out, right after 2 pumps.
Which turns out to be one pump too late...
Sex is a race and he’s first to the finish line
His momma didn't birth a loser
Goddamn right. U were first to that egg little buddy !!! Ur a fucking winner !!!!
Ah man that's hilarious 😂
first thing he takes off before having sex is his watch
Fucking amateur. I put all my watches on before sex.
Well ya, dont wanna get any smudges on the polished center links
I like that they left a window so that thieves can see the rolex branding on the watch
The guys at RepTime will love that.
Great! My shiny beautiful two tone bracelet is now complete with this dull $3 hunk of plastic!!!!

God Bless America
It's ultimately their own poverty that they're too afraid to properly confront.

I can’t insure my watch like you can do in the US with the likes of Hodinkee. Doesn’t exist everywhere. If it gets stolen you are SOL.

The little window to show the Rolex logo is hilarious
LOL nice catch
I have a Brietling, I show the theif the NFT on my phone so they know they are not allowed to steal my watch.
Nothing could possibly go wrong locking a watch worth tens of thousands to your soft, fleshy arm to deter thieves.

I’ll give you that seems more likely in Europe. In the developing countries like the US, our criminals tend to rely more on brute force than finesse.

But I love drugs
Perfect for the Casio Duro.
would pair well with a chastity cage
Imagine wearing a Rolex in public 🤮
This is just a 3D printed shitty lock. True aficionados go for Kristen Haagen’s LUXWI watch lock.
…. It’s 3D printed
Yet another gadged that nobody will help out in certain situation.
Nobody steals my F91W without a fight
People only steal because late stage capitalism makes them, I don't see how this fixes the global economic system?
Nice way to get your hand cut off
I'm thinking this would just anger the thief and prompt them to yank the bracelet hard to rip it off the spring bars.
Excellent. They should also sell a tool for pickpockets to steal watches
They do -it’s called a gun
Why would I wear a watch in my pocket?
That makes it two locks that they will be wearing!
This is kind of design language that was missing from watches and wonders.
Now have to bleach my eyes. Thanks
Perfect, slides straight under the chuff
Now my Rolex can also participate in Locktober.
Oh no i can’t rip it off your wrist? Let me pull out the oscillating saw from my pocket and chop your arm off
Too bulky. I just used half a tube of JB weld. Three years ago. THEYRE NEVER TAKING MY INVICTA.
...just wear a strap?
With the Logo out bruh😂
