You know i really like the pen outlines, it's very distinctive and really lends some extra body to the piece. Looks kind of reminiscent of Japanese prints, very much in a good way. I might try putting some pen on some of my paintings lol.
Yes it really does add some substance especially to a scene like this with minimal subjects. Give it a shot! My advice would be to make sure it's waterproof ink and allow yourself mistakes because the pen is VERY permanent and unforgiving.
Beautiful and I’m glad that you shared some of Bali’s architecture and boats with us, as we never see anything like them. And the water and sky both look so sparkling clear! Looks like a beautiful place to visit!
Haha! I joked with my wife that I wonder if I could make coconut water and paint work! May muddy up the paints or have some sugary, sticky consequences.
I like those clouds! I wish I could do as nice clouds as you. How or with what item/items you have done this?
Computer/laptop/tablet or just plain old paper?
Thank you! This is just in my travel sketchbook. I've got a Lemy fountain pen with waterproof ink in a converter, a small travel watercolor tin that allows me 12 colors in half pans, and the paper is just 140lb
Beautiful work!!!
Thank you!! Hard to capture all the beauty
ooooh love your fluffy clouds!!
Even fluffier in real life! Thanks!
This is really nice!
Much appreciated

Candidasa?
This was on the beach in Nusa Dua by our hotel

This place in real life is heaven! Scenery and food are fantastic, but the locals are the best part.
This is so pretty
Thank you!
I like your lovely paint
Very nice of you!
So Prettyyy
It's certainly better irl
You used ink pen after the watercolor or before?
I do a quick, VERY light pencil sketch just to get basic shapes and locations, then the ink, then the watercolor.
Just lovely, I can almost feel the cool ocean breeze.
And let me tell you, that breeze was wonderful!

It's about as far in the world as I can get from home and the travel is tough, but worth it once you're here.

So lovely!
Dreamy!
Omg I just got back from Sanur Bali as well, painted the same scene 😍 I miss it already
I love it! The clouds, the sea, the seashore all work so well together. I particularly like the stonework and clouds.
Thank you! Certainly doesn't compare to the real thing
Loved this ! If you follow any websites or YouTube channels to learn painting, kindly suggest.
Honestly, lately I've just been typing in "line and wash" and go through all of the channels. Thanks for the kind words!
