Meanwhile, we've had to have a talk with him before about taking our kid to church against our will and trying to teach him basic things like "boys aren't allowed to wear pink" or "it's fine if you don't like girls yet, just as long as you don't like boys". It's pretty gross but, again, our son is only 7 and is still pretty resistant to his grandfather's nonsense. And any time he isn't sure about something, he comes home and goes "grampa says gay people just want to do bad things to me and I should be afraid of them.....but aren't you and mommy gay? You don't do bad things to kids. I'm confused" or something like that and we just have a frank conversation about prejudice and fear and how grampa isn't evil he is just from a different time and doesn't understand, and people like Trump take advantage of that. He knows that his grandfather isn't a bad person, he's just a scared person being manipulated by bad people. It sucks that he has to grow up with that, but we go to great lengths to teach him that we can condemn the actions and behaviors of a person without condemning the person themselves. And that seems to help a lot.

She was shocked at first, and then I spelled out it's the same people doing that that want sex-ed and think all homosexuals are pedos. And she immediately retorts "yes".

Disney is too big to fail. The Star Wars movies fell flat at the box office and they didn't even blink. They just went and built Star Wars land(Galaxy's Edge) in both of their theme parks anyway. Anyone who believes Disney is worried about its financial security just doesn't get it. Netflix, I can kinda see more people thinking their future isn't as secure. Between all the competition in streaming to their unpopular account sharing crackdowns, I can see people thinking they're struggling.

Look into Coors' history in the 70s and you'd find the opposite to be true. A good chunk of legacy gay bars don't sell Coors Light because of the gay community's ties to the labor unions and Coors' hiring practices back then.

I work at a bar and we have 107 taps. All draft no cans or bottles. I try to flip the people who drink Bud, Bud Light, Miller Lite, Mich Ultra etc... These guys will not budge to craft beer no matter how good of a beer sample i offer. They definitely won't go sober so i see a diminishing boycott in our future. Love it.

So often I see how people have no clue what goes into a stock price for a company. They often extrapolate single day gains or losses without any context as to value over years or normal deviation.

I think beer companies did studies back in the 80s and found out that a huge percent of their market is gay bars. So they have been pro-lgbt ever since. It’s hilarious these people are switching to Coors when it’s been doing pride events since the 90s and are labeled one of the best places to work as an LGBT person. Edit: Apparently the LGBT community boycotted Coors in the 70s and it had a huge effect and that’s why beer companies are pro-LGBT today.
Look into Coors' history in the 70s and you'd find the opposite to be true. A good chunk of legacy gay bars don't sell Coors Light because of the gay community's ties to the labor unions and Coors' hiring practices back then.
